On The Abandoned Mess That Is Railjack

When Railjack originally came out, it was buggy and difficult, but it was interesting. Once the bugs were cleared up (mostly things like getting stuck between missions and rewards not being rewarded), the experience was great. Railjack was genuinely challenging, and required strong teamwork in order to not get completely torn apart. The Intrinsics system was grindy, the whole process of building a Railjack was very expensive and there wasn’t really any reward for any of it apart from Mastery, but it was new and exciting and different. Over time though, the excitement died down. But at the same time,… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Archguns in Warframe

Sometimes in Warframe, a normal gun just isn’t big enough. Sure our weapons can do vast amounts of damage and kill huge swathes of enemies, but sometimes you just need something massive. A gun so large that you have to add an anti-gravity component so you can use it. Sometimes you need an Archgun. Archguns are great. Originally appearing in Archwing missions, Archguns are massive, mostly two-handed weapons that can only be used in space because they are so heavy and powerful. Over the years though, we’ve been able to use Archguns more often, either via our Necramechs or by… [Continue Reading]

Free Space For Railjacks

When Fortuna was announced at Tennocon years ago, a big part of the teaser was seeing a Railjack come in, Mag jumping on and us all seeing a transition straight to a Railjack mission, fighting a Kuva Lich. It all ended in a teaser for the Duviri Paradox. Now, while we’re all still waiting for the Duviri Paradox, we did eventually get most of what was teased. Fortuna became a cool open world area, we have Railjack mission and can fight Liches on, and the Duviri Paradox is on its way soon. We got most of what was promised, even… [Continue Reading]

4 Last Minute Preparations for the New War

Finally, after way too much hype and too many setbacks, the New War is finally on its way. With a somewhat unknown release date in December, the New War promises to be the biggest update ever. With so much going on, it’s understandable that we will need to do things before we jump straight into the New War. Here’s a small list of things you’ll need to do before starting the New War. Ready your Necramech I’m like 99% certain that part of the New War will involve Orphix enemies. These Sentient bosses can kick you out of your Warframe,… [Continue Reading]

5 Small Changes I’d Like to See in Railjack Missions

I enjoy playing Railjack. While it’s not something I play all of the time, Railjack does offer a nice distraction from the normal grind. However, Railjack had a bit of a buggy start, and it still has problems. While I could ramble on and on about Railjack’s bigger issues, I’d instead like some small quality of life features. After all, you’ve probably already heard about all the big fuck-ups. Anyway, here’s 5 little things I’d like for Railjack. Make it more obvious how you can leave a squad It’s not always understood when you can leave a squad in Railjack.… [Continue Reading]

Railjack Endless Missions Are Boring

When it comes to Railjack Endless Missions, the whole idea is actually pretty new. Corpus Proxima missions were only added this year. However, with new nodes being added, like Corpus Survival, the Corpus Proxima areas just aren’t that fun. And, somehow, they also manage to make endless missions like Survival boring too. Your ship is just a taxi. In Railjack endless missions like Defense and Survival, your ship doesn’t matter at all. Sure, there’s probably some sort of side objective that needs doing, like blowing up a ship or something. But afterwards, you just park your ship near the Corpus… [Continue Reading]

What Is the Point of Converted Liches, Outside of Trading?

Whenever you defeat a Sister of Parvos or a Kuva Lich, you get two options. The first option is to completely murder the Sister or Lich, so you can steal their gun. After all, Kuva and Tenet weapons are some of the best weapons around. However, if you are feeling merciful, you can convert the Lich or Sister and have them fight by your side. However, the most common reason to convert a nemesis is for their Ephemeras. These fancy effects are highly sought-after because, well, they’re basically Team Fortress 2’s unusuals but for your Warframe. This means that Ephemeras… [Continue Reading]

Corpus Railjack Is Kinda Mediocre

I like Railjack. It’s not my favourite game mode, but I think it’s fun occasionally. While you can easily play in a group, it’s also perfectly fine while playing solo. However, there’s a good 50% of Railjack content that kinda sucks. I’m talking about Corpus Railjack missions. Because they really just aren’t very good. A Taxi ride Corpus Railjack missions are basically a brief jaunt towards an otherwise normal mission. Sure, there are side objectives you need to complete before you board. But once you’re done with side objectives, you basically abandon your ship! Everyone on board is forced to… [Continue Reading]

The Change from Avionics into Mods for Railjack

With the last Railjack update, something dramatic happened with modding. Originally, Railjacks had their own sets of mods, called Avionics. These worked very similar to normal mods, but were arranged in a special grid. You could upgrade both the grid and the mods themselves, and combining both gave better boosts. But this was all changed in the Railjack Retrofit update. The grid went away completely and all the Avionics were turned into normal mods. We were given a very standard modding screen, almost identical to normal modding screens for Warframes and weapons. The whole Avionics modding system was completely removed.… [Continue Reading]

A Quick Look at Void Storms in Warframe

You ever wondered what a Void Fissure looks like from space? After all, in these missions, you see a burst of light, then everything goes gold. But what does that look like from above? Well, thanks to the Call of the Tempestarii update, we finally found out. Void Storms are the Railjack equivalent of Void Fissures. They look badass, but… well, from a gameplay perspective, they kinda suck. Where’s the Reactant? Honestly, the first thing I noticed when I did my first Void Storm missions was the lack of Reactant. Reactant is the shiny flaming golden orbs that corrupted enemies… [Continue Reading]
