Swedish Taskmaster

I’ve written about Taskmaster before. It’s a UK TV show in which comedians complete tasks in order to please Greg Davis, the Taskmaster himself. Tasks range from all sorts of stuff, from knocking down plastic ducks to composing songs for strangers, all the way to pushing trolleys across an airport and having to eat as much watermelon as possible in a minute. Basically, it’s a crazy show and I love it. Even if I haven’t been able to watch the latest seasons. But what surprises me more is that there are other versions of Taskmaster. Three of which are set… [Continue Reading]

Please Keep The Gold Pokestops and Leafy Decorations

For Halloween, Pokemon GO had a small, visual update. The over-world map was spruced up with Halloween-y decorations, and were also upgraded to be a little more accurate. We also got orange Pokestops and carved pumpkins to match the Halloween mood. Alongside the visual changes, we also got a nice remix of the music from Lavender Town, all the way back from gen 1. After the Halloween event though, all the vibrant autumn colours disappeared and we returned to that old, familiar, infinitely green or blue over-world. Frankly, the Halloween over-world looked great, and it was a shame that it… [Continue Reading]

Small, Amusing, Pointless things I want in Pokemon GO

I love Pokemon GO. It’s one of the few games I can lazily play, no matter where I am and where my phone is. All I have to do is go for a walk and catch a few Pokemon as I do so. However, there are a few little tiny things I want to see in Pokemon GO. Some serious, some… not so serious. Watch out, this is a long list… Iron Head users should bounce balls back more frequently. This idea is the idea that pushed me into making this article. Basically, if you have a buddy that knows… [Continue Reading]

An Announcement on Adverts

A while back, I got an email that I normally see on the regular. Lots of companies have sent me messages, saying they can get me to rank 1 of Google and make money with adverts and guest posts. Normally, I don’t do too much for these emails. They seem copied and pasted over and over, especially the guest post emails. However, occasionally, if I see an email that doesn’t look too suspicious, I’ll send them an email back, asking what guest posts they want or what services they offer. I rarely get a response from any of these. One… [Continue Reading]

A Nice Day of Cooking

Sometimes, it’s nice to have a day away from my laptop. Of course, I’m not away from my laptop because I’m typing this article, but the rest of today has been really nice and relaxed. And what did I do with my time away from my desk? I spent it in the kitchen, making and baking things. Something calm and easy, simple for the soul. This carrot cake was the first thing I made. It doesn’t look like a carrot cake from above, because it has a smooth, chocolate-y glaze covering the top. Inside however is very carrot-y but also… [Continue Reading]

Several Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Run Away in Sea of Thieves

When you’re sailing on the Sea of Thieves, there’s always a ton of adventure to be had. From looting ghost forts to finding lost relics, there’s plenty of gold and treasure to be had. However, you’re rarely ever alone, and an enemy ship could turn up at any moment. While some people see an enemy ship as an opportunity, most pirates we encounter try to run away and flee. But that’s the worst thing you can do. Here are several reasons as to why you should fight back, rather than run away. It’s quicker If someone is pursuing you, they… [Continue Reading]

We should just make all passes remote passes.

Right now, I have about 15 Pokecoins in Pokemon Go. At the same time, I am kinda in the middle of nowhere. So there are no local gyms around, which means I can’t get any coins, and I definitely can’t do any raids. There is one red gym within a reasonable distance, but it not only hasn’t had good raids on it, but it’s also fiercely defended by one person. Simply put, anything gym-related is out of reach for me. No Pokecoins, no gym battles and no decent raids at all. Especially since that red gym has had no good… [Continue Reading]

Research Breakthroughs Completely Suck

Today, as I do every week, I completed my seven days of research and was given a Research Breakthroughy. Breakthroughs are a reward for playing regularly and doing research tasks. You get some supplies, some experience and an encounter with a Pokemon, which normally changes with every new month. However, the quality of these rewards varies greatly. To the point of pointlessness. The old days were best Back in 2019, when research breakthroughs became a thing, the rewards from research breakthroughs were genuinely awesome. They’d mostly be a Legendary of some sort. And not just the Kanto legendary Birbs either… [Continue Reading]

Cookies: Hard to Get Right

I love baking, and one of my favourite things I like to bake are cookies. After all, a cookie cooks a lot quicker than other types of cake and dessert, and you can bake lots of them in one go. But there is a science with cookies, and how to make the sort of cookie you want. Turns out, it’s hard to bake a cookie that matches or betters store-baked stuff. Okay, sure, there are many types of cookie. In this article, I’m more looking at the big, gooey American cookies, often with chocolate chips and occasionally M&Ms, nuts and… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon: Much Ado About Breloom

I’ve written articles about my two favorite Pokémon already, but we humans just can’t resist making Top 3s of everything, can we? While Rotom is still my favorite battle Pokémon, Breloom is usually far easier to find in the games it appears. Its pre-evolution Shroomish is a common sight in early-game grassy routes, with its adorable stubby legs and grumpy face. I can’t look at its unamused little frown without smiling. Breloom (along with Shroomish) is clearly a fungus Pokémon, but I like how much more interesting its design gets than just that. Sure its mushroom hat is awesome, but… [Continue Reading]
