That Weird Loading Screen Pose in Warframe

Something has been bothering me, ever since I got back into Warframe. Part of the reason I stopped playing was because the game just wouldn’t load into missions. But now I am actually able to do missions and all that, I’m reminded of the end of mission loading screen. There’s something wrong with it, and I very much dislike it.

It’s an awkward pose

I don’t know what this pose is supposed to be. It’s kinda like an action pose, but my Warframe (Styanax in this case) is all hunched over. He doesn’t look relaxed at all, despite the mission being successful. If anything, the pose kinda looks like a cartoon villain, who has just thought of a new plan to take over the city. But look at those other frames. The Rhino Prime, the Volt Prime and the Revenant Prime are all standing in a somewhat heroic pose. It’s still very static, but at least they are all standing like normal people, rather than anxiously waiting for something bad which is soon to happen.

The pose also fails to do a decent job of showing off your Fashionframe, because your arm blocks the rest of your Warframe. Compared to your fellow Tenno, this pose just looks weird and uncomfortable. And nothing like the cool space ninja you’re supposed to be.

Alternate end of mission poses would be nice.

What surprises me is that you can’t really customize this diorama. Well, you can, by dressing up your Warframe with your best Fashionframe, but that pose is still there, looking uneasy. You’re stuck there in that awkward pose, while your team mates stand tall and proud behind you. You can’t change that pose in any way. However, wouldn’t it be cool if we could choose what end of mission pose you’ll strike?

But guess what? A better version of the end of mission loading screen actually already exists. When you view your clan’s stats, you are presented with 4 random Warframes. However they just use their default animation sets. The clan stat screen isn’t the best, because you often can’t see the furthest back Tenno behind the more flamboyant front Tenno, but at least it doesn’t have that awful, tense, crunchy pose. The positioning though could do with some work.

This could be monetized

I mean, other games sell things like poses and taunts. You can buy animation sets, 50 platinum to buy an animation set for use on any Warframe. I think, for about 20-30 plat, it’d be nice to choose and buy poses specifically for the end of mission screen. Or at the very least, just change the damn slouching pose to the same pose that the rest of the squad uses.

Heck, now I think about it, why doesn’t the end of mission screen just use the idle pose of your Warframe? It would be way better than the weird pose you currently stand in, and it’s both less static and more customizable. Or just use the clan member screen as the end of mission screen.

Either way, I just want that pose gone. It’s so damn ugly…
