Medic Plays Pokemon Violet – Part 1

Honestly. I’m beginning to realize that this game is going to take a while. Especially with so much to do. I’m not even at the capital yet… Anyway, let’s get going!

So, after a stop at the light house, we now make our way to the next village, where I discover that Poke Centres have really been trimmed down. They don’t even have their own building, it’s more like going to a petrol station. Nemona meets us at the small village and asks me if I battled anyone. I didn’t, I was too busy catching the local fauna. I HAD to grab a regional Wooper, which looks like a normal Wooper except brown.

After the quick trip to the Pokecentre, I make my way through this village and towards Mesagoza, the biggest city in the area, where our school is located. It’s also where Nemona is located. We get a nice tour of the city, which actually kinda feels like a town of some sort, then we are greeted by stairs. Lots and lots of stairs, all to get to the academy.

Unfortunately though, I run into two people bullying some shy kid to join Team Star. As I intervene, I learn that Team Star is this game’s version of Team Rocket, and they all have a pretty cringe intro dance move thing. I beat the first grunt with ease, before Nemona interrupts. She’s the school president and is looking to report the Team Star kids. Then, out of the blue, Nemona gives me a Tera Orb, which allows me to use the Terastalizing gimmick. I immediately use it to battle the other grunt, and kick their ass, causing them to flee.

The shy kid I just helped whispers a thank you and leaves, leaving me with Nemona, who is super impressed with me. So far, the battles haven’t been super easy like they were in Pokemon Shield, but they’re still pretty easy.

With that out of the way, I finally make it to the Uva Academy proper, and have a little bit of a tour. Nemona and I are chastised somewhat for dealing with the Team Star grunts improperly, but now it’s time to sign up and get learning.

Turns out, everyone’s already magically heard of me and I’m special apparently. It’s literally the first time I’ve even battled properly, and yet I’m somehow impressive. All I did was fall down a cliff and beat two Team Star grunts. Nemona probably does that on the regular, considering how much she loves battling.

Anyway, now is time for some actual school stuff, like introducing myself to my class, meeting up with people and things like that. Nemona would like for me to train for Pokebattles, but that guy Arven, who gave me the Pokeball for Miraidon, wants me to help him as well. And on top of that, I get a call from someone called Cassiopea wants me to defeat Team Star grunts. It’s all very chaotic.

I then get called to the Director’s office. Apparently yet another person wants me to do stuff for them. In this case though, it’s the local Professor, Professer Turo, who requests that I look after Miraidon for a bit. I agree, since I like Miraidon and think it looks cool.

After all of that though, I am now a tad tired, both in game and in real life. So Nemona shows me to my room, and I go to sleep. And so do all my Pokemon as well. Considering how crazy my first day of school was, goodness knows how bad the second day of school will be…
