I Miss Fortuna 69

In Warframe, we have relays and areas where Tenno can congregate and talk to each other. These hubs are entirely peaceful, with no guns allowed, and they generally house a bunch of NPCs which have things for us to buy. The first hub area you go to is either Larunda on Mercury, or Cetus on Earth, depending on which way you go. Then there’s places like the Orcus relay, the Zariman or Tenno Dojos which require a bit more work to access. Either way, these places are one of the few peaceful places in Warframe, and you’ll always see a… [Continue Reading]

Hoenn Tour Day 2

Well, it turns out there wasn’t much difference between days one and two. That’s okay. In the Johto and Kanto events, a lot more was going on. Day one would be habitats and catching, while day 2 would be more of a story/adventure sort of thing. Kanto Tour had the shadow legendaries for example. But for the Hoenn tour, things on day 2 are mostly the same as day one. Frankly, I like this. Having to do collection challenges and research can be quite tricky if you don’t have much time on your hands. After all, not everyone can play… [Continue Reading]

Hoenn Tour Day 1

This February, we had the Hoenn Tour in Pokemon GO. Just like the Kanto and Johto tours in previous years, the Hoenn Tour featured Pokemon over a two day event, as well as special raids and new potentially shiny Pokemon. Day 1 is more of a collectathon, while day 2 is generally a tad more story-based, if that even makes sense. Anyway, let’s have a look at Day 1. Day 1 had rotating habitats, during which various Pokemon would spawn. Like the previous tours, we had to catch one of each Pokemon to complete a collection challenge. Unlike the previous… [Continue Reading]

One Wrestler Every 90 Seconds

I’ve always been a casual fan of wrestling. I don’t actually follow it, but I’ll watch the odd match on Youtube now and then. But there is one event that I always try to see, and that is the Royal Rumble. It’s a massive event that leads down the road to Wrestlemania, the actual biggest wrestling event of the year. Personally though, out of the big events, I have always preferred the Royal Rumble. It’s not hard to see why. The Royal Rumble has lots of people fighting together in one go. The rules for a royal rumble match are… [Continue Reading]

Things I’d Like to See in the Summer TF2 Update

Editor’s note: This article was written way before Valve decided to subtly change some text, indicating that the summer update was not a real update, just another cosmetic one. So feel free to ignore all of this since it’s no longer going to happen. The other day, something amazing happened. A blog post appeared on the TF2 website. Not just any blog post, but one that had good news in it and wasn’t about some sort of community event. This blog post was a call to arms, a rallying cry to anyone who makes items on the Steam Workshop, to… [Continue Reading]

Medic Plays Pokemon Violet – Part 9

So the next gym on the list is a Water gym. It’s located in Cascarrafa, which happens to be next to a pretty large desert. It’s supposed to be a bit of an oasis, and has running water at least. So the first thing I do is find the gym, which has a lift for you to get up to it. But as I approach the gym, someone rushes out of it and disappears, followed by a secretary shouting. Turns out, the water gym leader has forgotten his wallet, which is something that seems to happen a lot around here.… [Continue Reading]

Halo 3: ODST is the best in the series

Game Developer Bungie has never been the type to take a victory lap, and had they the choice- Halo would’ve ended with 3. The last two Bungie Halo titles, ODST and Reach, probably weren’t games many people at the company wanted to make. Old guard at the studio certainly said as much. Back then, Destiny (Codenamed Tiger) was taking shape internally, and the largest portion of Bungie’s employees were working on Halo Reach. Halo 3: ODST was pitched small, and to this day it boasts one of the fastest turnarounds in Bungie development history: From concept to mastering, ODST took fourteen… [Continue Reading]

[Planetside 2] Searching For Saviors

Today, February 21st, is an important milestone in my Planetside 2 career. Exactly 10 years ago, I first donned my spandex and took my earliest steps onto Auraxis’ battle-scarred continents. I can’t remember much about those beginning days beyond what I chronicled in older articles. But without even knowing it, I’d unwittingly started what would eventually prove to be the longest and slowest grind I have ever attempted in a video game. Your Mission, Soldier In 2014, Daybreak Games added the Directives system into their MMOFPS to provide some rewards for mastering the various facets of combat. Now you could… [Continue Reading]

Mirror Defense Is Way Better Than Normal Defense

I’ve never really liked defense missions in Warframe. They are slow and tedious and always prone to breaking due to having to make sure everything is dead. The main reason I play defense missions is either me starting the day doing the defense mission Seimeni on Ceres, or because it’s in the current sortie or Archon hunt. There are two basic forms of defense and both of them are boring. The first is protecting a static object, generally some sort of metal pod with an unconscious person inside it. The second involves protecting an NPC, who will always try and… [Continue Reading]

Medic Plays Pokemon Violet – Part 8

It’s been a while, but I’ve finally leveled up my Pokemon to an acceptable level and caught a bunch of unrelated Pokemon, and it’s time to actually do some story stuff. Instead of doing gyms though, I decided to focus on doing titans, in order to make my Miraidon stronger and more mobile. However, the last time I faced a titan, it beat the crap out of my under-leveled Pokemon and I had to run away. This time, I’m coming prepared. Both of the titans I am about to fight are steel types, meaning I’ll need fighting types. Can’t use… [Continue Reading]
