On The Difficulty of Level 50 Pokemon

As of writing, the Pokemon with the highest CP I own is a 100% IVs Rhyperior, at level 49. Obtaining XL candy for this Pokemon has been nothing short of slow and random. Thankfully, in the Season of GO, Rhyhorns have been relatively common, especially in sunny weather. Weather that I see all the time. Still, even with walking the former 100% Rhydon for candy, it’s taken a good chunk of this season to even get this far. Simply put, level 50 is a hard target to reach. There aren’t many other Pokemon that I’ve evolved past level 40. I… [Continue Reading]

So Many 3* Pokemon

This Pokemon season is called the Season of GO. Yes, it’s a stupid name, but June – August are generally when Pokemon GO has its biggest events. But a new season also brings with it some new Pokemon, and a slight change in one’s local spawns. The changes aren’t amazing, however it does mean I get to see Rhyhorn again. Thanks to the Eevee-lutions, there are way more limited community day moves, compared to previous years. And with so much going on, it’s easy to lose track. Here are some things you should prioritize… [Continue Reading]

When we were presented with the four choices – Rhyhorn, Machop, Vulpix or Dratini, Rhyhorn won by quite a lot. And on February 22nd 2020, Rhyhorn finally got a Community Day. Now, Rhyhorn is a great Pokemon. Absolutely awesome. Sure, the Rhyhorn family is weak to Grass and Water, but it’s a strong, tanky Pokemon with a good combination of damage and bulk. More… [Continue Reading]
