Retvik’s Warframe Tier List for Lazy People

It’s genuinely hard to make a Warframe tier list. There’s so many ways you can categorize Warframes! Do you categorize them based on how much damage they can do? How many enemies they can kill? What enemies? What level of enemies? How about missions? Is a Warframe bad because it can’t survive 3 hours in a survival mission? Or is it just not suited for the job? So many questions, so many tier lists. Which is where I come in. This tier list is simple: How much bang do you get for your buck? What Warframes require the least amount… [Continue Reading]

Lavos, the Alchemist Snake Warframe

Getting a new Warframe is always nice, but normally, I’m late with new Warframe reviews. Being someone who grinds most things out the old-fashioned way, I tend not to buy new frames with Platinum. The only exceptions are genuinely tedious grinds, like the Arbitration farm and horrible missions for Grendel. Lavos on the other hand at least has multiple paths of obtaining him, and, amazing, I lucked out. I somehow managed to farm a new frame in a single hour. Purely by chance. An easier yet temporary farm The new Warframe can be farmed in two main ways. The first… [Continue Reading]

Operation Orphix Venom is Here

We haven’t had an Operation in Warframe for a while. The last one was Scarlet Spear, which was supposed to be the start of the New War. However current events on planet earth ended up delaying the New War completely. After all, the Sentients didn’t want to get infected. But now the Sentients are back in an event that completely removes the Warframe from Warframe. Operation Orphix Venom is a weird event. Basically, this is the Condrix ground mission on Earth, from Scarlet Spear. Except there’s a massive field around each Orphix that literally kicks you out of your Warframe… [Continue Reading]

I Miss Old Io

Io was always one of my favourite defense maps. Most people tended to flock to Hydron or Selene for their experience gains, but Io was always the cooler map. I say ‘was’, since Io is now a completely different location. One that isn’t nearly as cool or anything. Thanks to the large Jupiter update, one of my favourite maps is no more. “But Medic, the Jupiter update was ages ago!” You’re completely right. In fact, most Corpus tile sets aside from Europa and the ground icy missions have been upgraded. But it’s taken a while to sink in just how… [Continue Reading]

Warframe’s Universal Medallion Sucks Ass and is Pointless

I’m a bit late when it comes to hopping on the Universal Medallion bandwagon. But I still feel it’s worth discussing as I consider leveling up the last two factions I’ve missed out on: Ventkids and Conclave. A Universal Medallion is an item you can exchange to a Syndicate to gain 1000 standing with them. However, out of these two factions, Universal Medallions only work on Ventkids. You can’t use Universal Medallions on Conclave. At the same time though, there’s far more problems with Universal Medallions than one would like to admit. Conclave: the elephant in the room The most-cited… [Continue Reading]

How To Fix the Bonewidow Necramech

We currently have two Necramechs in Warframe right now. The first came out with the Heart of Deimos update and the release of the Cambion Drift. The Voidrig Nechramech is a terrifying mechanical monster. It has an electric shield of death and immortality around it. The mech can lob volleys of grenades at you. It can and will bunker down, turning into a turret firing rounds of bullets that do thousands of damage. And, for some reason, the Voidrig Nechramech will occasionally throw canisters of worryingly white, slowing liquid at you. The second Necramech, named Bonewidow, is… uh… well, crap.… [Continue Reading]

On Grinding Ventkids Standing

Being Mastery Rank 30 has left me with a few realizations. There are things I never got around to doing, mostly because they were boring and/or tedious. After all, I haven’t touched Conclave at all, because I have no interest in PvP. But Ventkids on the other hand, they’re a simple Syndicate, right? I may have ignored them since they came out, but they’re… a thing. And, after leveling up the new infested K-Drive, I realised that maybe I could max them out. Well, I could, but it’d be boring. Two options: Races or Tricks. There are only two ways… [Continue Reading]

These New Isolation Vault Bounties Are Miserable

I thought I’d be happy to see more Deimos content, but it turns out I’m wrong. Yes, we got new bounties. However, these bounties are insanely tedious, not just to do, but to access as well! Like, who thought this was a good idea? Ugh, this is going to be a slog. Just like doing the actual bounties. To access a new bounty, you need to do its Isolation Vault. These new bounties are located in the underground Isolation Vaults. But to get to them, you need to do the related Isolation Vault bounty. So you’ve got to rush around… [Continue Reading]

Ranking the Cernos Bow Family

When it comes to weapons with the most unique variants, you’d think it’d be something simple, like the Skana or the starting Braton. After all, these are weapons seen from the very start of the game. They’re well-known and popular. For example, the Furis is one of the first guns you can make, and it has four variants. The normal Furis is given as a reward, while the MK1 Furis is in the market. But there’s also the Akfuris dual variant. AND we have the Dex Furis, the anniversary version. But for some reason, the Cernos, a random bow not… [Continue Reading]

I Can’t Work Out What Necramechs Are Supposed To Be Used For

Necramechs are really, really cool. They’re basically massive armed robot guards. Golden-plated monstrosities that mow down enemies with big dakka guns. These giant Orokin robots are the complete opposite to smooth, sleek Warframes. Despite their strange appearance, you can’t deny that a Necramech is a terrifying sight. But what are Necramechs actually useful for? Lore-wise, they’re basically no longer used. While Father will go on about how great Necramechs are, it’s clear that Warframes replaced them. After all, you can’t exactly fit a Necramech through a normal doorway. It also seems like they were awkward to make. The only reason… [Continue Reading]
