Companions and Sentinels – Revenge of the Kavat

I’ve always held the belief that Sentinels, no matter what, were better than Kavats and Kubrows, and honestly I still think they’re better than MOAs, even though MOAs combine most of the things that Sentinels and Kavats and Kubrows do. But lately, I’ve been running around with a Smeeta Kavat and I think my opinions are changing slightly. Why am I running a Smeeta Kavat rather than my normal Carrier Prime? Well, it all started with the Week 2 Nightwave challenges. Two of the elite challenges involved hour long survivals, so we went off to do an hour long Kuva… [Continue Reading]

Rest in Peace, Quick Melee Attacks

A big part of the Buried Debts update was the appearance of Melee 2.9. Basically, for the last year or so, there have been plans to rework the melee system in Warframe. This rework though was so big that the developers decided to split the rework into parts, with the first part being a general update of melee and weapon switching. It’s all very simple. You want to shoot something, you shoot them. You want to hit something with your sword? You press your melee key (E by default) and you immediately switch to your sword and hit said something.… [Continue Reading]

Missing Alert Missions

It’s weird, but with Nightwave being around now, I’ve started to miss alert missions. Nightwave was supposed to replace the need for alerts, but… Nightwave isn’t a replacement for alerts at all. The alerts system was always very basic. Any alert could be any random mission that would give you a specific reward at the end. Mostly these weapons would give you credits and a resource, or pitiful amounts of endo. Occasionally there would also be alerts for things like weapons (for example the Plasma Sword and the Jaw Sword) and you can also get random blueprints for Warframe helmets.… [Continue Reading]

Rayray’s Danger Noodle Weekend

Rayquaza is awesome. It’s the flying danger noodle of the Weather Trio, the other two being Kyogre and Groudon. But unlike the other two, Rayquaza got left out of the recent event where Kyogre and Groudon appeared in raids, with a chance to meet their shiny forms. Nope, Rayquaza had to wait for ages to have a chance to reappear. The deadly flying danger noodle ended up reappearing in a raid weekend, similar to the raid ‘weekend’ Latias appeared in. But this time, Rayquaza is actually only appearing for a weekend. For people not in the US, this means that… [Continue Reading]

Single Player Pixelmon is the Most Depressing I’ve Played Recently

Lately, I’ve been playing on a very nice multiplayer Pixelmon server that recently upgraded to version 7.0.1 of Pixelmon Reforged, bringing with it all the Pokemon from the Alolan region, Z-Moves and more. The server community is very nice (if a bit ravenous and grabby) and, thanks to the various plugins they have, it’s not too hard to actually catch Pokemon. Even if you start off with nothing at all, you can slowly start catching Pokemon and leveling yourself up, because the server optionally offers you basic things like 5 Pokeballs every 2 hours, as well as daily kits containing… [Continue Reading]

More Things You Should NOT Take in Radiation Hazard and Radiation Elemental Enhancement Missions

In light of a recent Radiation Hazard Survival, and since everyone’s doing Sorties today because of the weekly elite challenges for Nightwave, I think it’s worth looking at a bunch of other things you REALLY shouldn’t take into Radiation Hazard and Radiation Elemental Enhancement missions. A quick thing though, there is a difference between Radiation Hazard and Radiation Elemental Enhancement. Radiation Hazard missions spawn big green clouds throughout missions that give you Radiation damage if you walk through them. You can avoid them completely with an Operator’s Void Mode. Radiation Elemental Enhancement means that all enemies have resistance to elemental… [Continue Reading]

I Hate Apps

I hate mobile apps. I can be quite a progressive person at times, but I am also quite a stick in the mud on many things. The main thing being the creation and selling of mobile apps. Sure, the mobile market has outpaced desktop usage and the mobile market is a massive thing we should all be a part of, but is it really a nice thing for everyone to make money off? I hate apps in a lot of different ways. I hate the fact that some apps are dumped on a brand new phone, like the Twitter and… [Continue Reading]

Buried Debts – Not A Fun ARG At All

Turns out, there’s a whole Buried Debts ARG (Augmented Reality Game) tied in with the Thermia Fractures event. I mentioned the whole Data Hashes thing briefly in my previous article, but I want to talk about these data hashes specifically. The premise is simple. The players need to find and scan a bunch of data hashes, 14 in total. As you scan them, Eudico and Zuud will start discussing things. The data hashes lead to a secret on the edge of the Orb Vallis. The community needs to band together and scan all of these things to unlock further secrets.… [Continue Reading]

A Daily Grind or a Second Job?

I don’t know if it’s because of the recent updates of Nightwave and Buried Debts, or because I’ve been burnt out, but lately Warframe feels like a real chore to play. There is just so much that needs to be done per log-in that it feels like a second job almost. Normally, the average day would go along the lines of completing a sortie, doing some Syndicate missions and maybe doing some fissures or invasions, depending on what you need. Invasions and fissures are pretty quick to do. How much syndicate stuff you do is tied to how much standing… [Continue Reading]

The Orb Vallis is Probably a Bit Too Hard for Newbies

Fortuna and the Orb Vallis are currently where the action is at. That’s where all the big, new shiny things are right now. Garuda was there, Baruuk and the Profit-Taker Orb are there and now Hildryn, an Operation, a second Orb and a mystery are all out there on the Orb Vallis. But the Orb Vallis is a very hard place to visit if you’re a newbie. The Orb Vallis isn’t hard the way the Plains of Eidolon are. If you’re a newbie visiting the Plains, as long as you stay near the main entrance to Cetus, the enemies remain… [Continue Reading]
