Where the Fuck did the Narmer go?

Narmer, Narmer, Narmer. Throughout the New War, everyone was shouting about Narmer. A massive religious culty thing appeared, apparently enslaving everyone and giving them all mental blowjobs. Or something like that. Really, it was just putting masks on that made everyone feel like they got what they wanted. Magic masks so powerful that they could take anyone down. And at the centre of it all? Ballas, the Orokin executioner, controlling pretty much everything, and all that worshiped him became Narmer.

Either way, there were a lot of them, but after the New War’s conclusion, the Narmer seem to simply disappear. Like, completely. As soon as you finish The New War, everywhere aside from the Plains and the Orb Vallis is completely void of Narmer influence.

In fact, there are only two places that still have any trace of Narmer influence. And that influence is all temporary. Both Konzu and Eudico both give almost scared messages after the New War, stating that the Narmer are still going and still gathering new members. They are still a threat and they are still making brain-controlling masks. The head may be gone but the rest of the body is still writhing and kicking.

Of course, the good Tenno that we are, we go out there and do… basic bounties.

Yeah, there’s only two places you can find Narmer and they are on the Plains and in the Orb Vallis. They’re not even there all the time. The Narmer on Earth run away and hide when the Eidolons come out, do some digging and mind-controlling shenanigans above Fortuna and then bugger off back to the Plains after the Teralyst has gone away.

And you know what makes it all worse? The Narmer we see are no better than Corrupted enemies in the Void. They have masks with little holograms on them and aren’t painted gold like the Corrupted are, but they’re pretty much the same. What makes the Narmer even less scary is that, well, the remains of the Narmer are just masked Grineer and Corpus. All the Sentients and the other enemies from the New War were nowhere to be found. Weirdly enough, there are probably more Sentient enemies on Jupiter, where Alad V makes Amalgam enemies, than there are in the rest of Warframe. There’s not a single Sentient among the Narmer.

However, I’ve just stumbled into a bigger question: Where did the Sentients go?

I was just going to rant about the two Narmer bounties on Earth and Venus, but as I started writing, I realized something else was wrong. The Sentients all kinda disappeared. Like, completely. The only missions that still have Sentients in them are the odd spot on Lua, or in Condrix missions. The two places they were at before the New War. While there are dead Murex still floating in low orbit across the solar system, we never got any real answers about any of them.

Really, now that I’m thinking about it, the Sentients kinda took a back seat in a quest that was supposed to be about the Sentients invading and destroying everything we had been trying to protect. But, just like Teshin, the Sentients kinda just faded away into nothing.

Seriously, where are all the damn Sentients?
