A Cheap Coward’s Guide to the Steel Path

The Steel Path can seem intimidating. All enemies are over level 100, and they’re all heavily armoured. The Corpus have tons of shields and the Infested are… Well, actually, the Infested are fine, as long as there are no Swarm Mutalist Moas around. Because they give the Infested tons of armour. Either way, the Steel Path is not a place for casual players. However, you don’t need to spend forever formaing your gear and making super OP ultra umbral forma builds. In fact, you can get through the Steel Path very cheaply. But only if you are patient. Can’t hit… [Continue Reading]

A Ramble About Adobe CC

The other day, on a whim, I decided to try out Adobe Creative Cloud. For a while now, all of Adobe’s products have been subscription-based, with a lot of cloud stuff going on. The idea is that it’s all online and you can access it anywhere. Also allows Adobe to offer advice every five seconds. I’ve considered trying out Adobe CC for a while, but I never got around to testing the free trial. So, uh, I tried the free trial. And I wasn’t impressed. First things first, the trial requires a card. You can’t get the free trial unless… [Continue Reading]

8 Years of Warframe, 5 Years of Nice Stats

Sometimes the passing of time just doesn’t feel right. You sit there, playing your game and time can just fly. In Warframe’s case, it’s been 8 years of time just flying by. Somehow. No, I don’t get it myself. But since Warframe is celebrating and has released some cool stuff, might as well have a lookie ourselves. Anniversary goodies! Normal people tend to get given gifts on their birthdays. However, games aren’t really normal people. So instead they tend to give out stuff instead. In Warframe’s case, the Dex anniversary gear is making a return over the next couple of… [Continue Reading]

How I would have done a Sustainability Event in Pokemon GO

A couple of weeks ago, we had a Sustainability event in Pokemon GO. As part of a sustainability campaign by Niantic, all its games are getting events. Mostly to raise awareness, I think. Now, I don’t play Wizards Unite or Ingress Prime, but I do play Pokemon GO. And I can tell you this: the event was kinda boring. And it didn’t really raise awareness. But it’s not hard to have made this event more interesting. So here’s how we’ll do it. First off, a summary of the actual Sustainability Week. There wasn’t much to it. Some Pokemon in raids.… [Continue Reading]

On Warframe and Earworms

If you asked me what the best part of the Call of the Tempestarii update was, my answer would be obvious. The music. Warframe’s soundtrack has always been amazing. And for this update, they blew it out of the water. Vaguely nautical pun intended, thanks to Warframe’s newest earworm. Sleeping in the Dark Below is an amazing space sea shanty. In fact, it’s been stuck in my head for days. An amazing, catchy song. Lyrical songs in Warframe are kinda rare. So when they do pop up, I’m always happy. Sleeping in the Dark Below ticks all the boxes as… [Continue Reading]

Sevagoth, the Edgiest Kid on the Block

The Call of the Tempestarri quest was all about a new Warframe: Sevagoth. A reaper of death, with a deadly shadow to back him up. An eldritch terror, waiting in the darkness to strike. Yet, somehow, Sevagoth makes pretty much no sense in any real way what so ever. There is a huge amount to unpack with this new Warframe. Too many themes. Sevagoth’s main theme is being a death bringer. He’s also a bit of a reaper, a guide to the afterlife. But also being a pirate. And also being an eldritch horror that haunts the mind and your… [Continue Reading]

A Quick Look at Void Storms in Warframe

You ever wondered what a Void Fissure looks like from space? After all, in these missions, you see a burst of light, then everything goes gold. But what does that look like from above? Well, thanks to the Call of the Tempestarii update, we finally found out. Void Storms are the Railjack equivalent of Void Fissures. They look badass, but… well, from a gameplay perspective, they kinda suck. Where’s the Reactant? Honestly, the first thing I noticed when I did my first Void Storm missions was the lack of Reactant. Reactant is the shiny flaming golden orbs that corrupted enemies… [Continue Reading]

The Easiest Pokemon to Level Up Past Level 40

Getting a Pokemon to level 40 is kinda tricky. On the last few stages, you’re looking at thousands of stardust and up to 15 candy for half a level. Unless you have a Lucky or Purified Pokemon, the stardust costs become ridiculous. Powering up Pokemon to level 50 however takes that long grind and makes it even harder. For one single power up, from level 40 to level 40.5, you require 10k stardust and 10 Candy XL. One Candy XL is equal to 100 normal candy. the only guaranteed way to get XL Candy is to hatch a Pokemon, which… [Continue Reading]

The Binding of Isaac’s Repentance Ending is… Curious…

With the arrival of the Repentance DLC, the Binding of Isaac is now basically a finished game. Sure, the developers said that about Afterbirth+. But the fan-made Antibirth mod was such a hit that the developers had to tie it all together for one final DLC. However, a big part of Repentance is that it gives us a final ending for the Binding of Isaac.

The Perks of being a True Master

It took me a long, long time to reach True Master in Warframe. I played through a myriad of events, sat through a maze of reworks and probably spent a little too long in Sanctuary Onslaught. And all the common farming missions. Gian Point is quite a standout, especially when it comes to Intrinsics. I played quite slowly though, only gunning for the end once I reached MR28 and saw that an end was in sight. That mad dash though was just as intense as someone attempting to speed-run the game. Reaching MR30 and becoming a True Master allowed me… [Continue Reading]
