Kleavor Raid Day

I like raid days. You get five free raid passes and get to do a bunch of raids for a Pokemon with an increased shiny chance. Kleavor Raid Day is no different, although it IS a Pokemon from the Pokemon Arceus game, which means it does stick out a bit. This raid day follows the normal formula. Kleavor appears as a three-star raid boss on all available gyms. There’s not an infinite amount of raids though, so once you’ve done one gym, you can’t get a second raid on it. That being said, you can only have so many raid… [Continue Reading]

The Circuit – Complete Randomness

One of the better things about the Duviri paradox is that it’s not all Drifter combat. In fact, there is an entire Duviri game mode that’s for Warframes only. The catch? Everything is random. Pretty much everything. To start the Circuit, you end up in Teshin’s cave with a bunch of options. You get three randomly chosen Warframes, two randomly chosen primaries, secondaries and melee weapons and that’s it. You’re not allowed companions, but your random choices can be any item in the game, even if you don’t have it. If you have a Prime version of something, that takes… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon That Are a Pain to Throw Balls At

Not every Pokemon is the same. That’s pretty obvious, even if we do have Pokemon that are similar. This also means that not every Pokemon is easy to catch. In main series Pokemon games, you generally need to weaken or sedate whatever Pokemon you can try to catch. The lower health they have, the easier they are to catch, even more so if you put them to sleep. Basically you need to beat them up first. In Pokemon GO however, we don’t really have any of that. We just have berries and stronger Pokeballs, as well as more opportunity to… [Continue Reading]

Drifter Melee Combat

In the Duviri Paradox, unless you are playing on the circuit, you spend most of your time playing as the Drifter. However, this Drifter isn’t quite the same as the Drifter or Operator you have on your ship. The Drifter of Duviri has his or her own set of weapons, and a rather different combat style. It’s rather odd, to say the least A lot of people have compared Drifter’s melee combat to something like Dark Souls. However, I’ve never really played those games, so I can’t compare them accurately. However, I do agree that the melee is a bit… [Continue Reading]

Thoughts on Lucky Trades

Pokemon GO is a bit weird when it comes to trades. Most of the main Pokemon games let you trade whatever you want. Pokemon Home also allows you to trade what you like. But Pokemon GO only allows for a Pokemon to be traded once, and treats Pokemon in a very different way, rerolling a Pokemon’s stats after the trade. This reroll means that you can, by sheer chance, get a Pokemon in return that has way better stats than it started with. The stat reroll is mostly completely random, and goes across a certain range. As you become better… [Continue Reading]

Why You Should Try Pokemon GO

I love Pokemon GO. It’s most likely my most-played game these days, and I play it all the time with ease. Despite not being a massive Pokemon fan when it comes to the main series games, Pokemon GO satisfies the Pokemon desire to play, while doing so in a rather casual manner. Here are some reasons why I think you should try Pokemon GO. It’s Pokemon Frankly, the Pokemon IP is a massive part of why Niantic has been so successful. There’s so many Pokemon to collect, and with more constantly being released, it can be tough to try and… [Continue Reading]

5 New features I want to see within the Pokemon GO Buddy system

I very much enjoy the buddy system in Pokemon GO. One of my favourite things to do is to take Pokemon I like and walk them until they are best buddies, earning various candies along the way. But there are some new features that I’d like to see with the buddy system. After all, it makes a change having a companion rather than just using Pokemon to beat other Pokemon up. A faster Quick Treat You can hit the quick feeding button whenever you open the buddy screen. But it doesn’t really do much, it mostly just automatically has the… [Continue Reading]

Sea of Thieves – Fight Back, Dammit!

The other day, Stormcloud made a massive amount of gold, as well as making progress on ledgers and things like that. Not only did we manage to make over 350k gold, we also sank a few ships and I got to level 79 on the season. But the sinking of ships was rather odd. We sunk three ships and, well, none of them fought back. Why? I have no idea! Seriously, one of them we managed to keg, with Fox taking an obvious rowboat all the way to the victim ship, and easily managed to detonate not one but TWO… [Continue Reading]

Swinub Classic Community Day

Back in 2019, we had a Swinub Community Day. The event was great and we all managed to get a bunch of Mamoswines, ready for the next dragon boss to come by. Most people didn’t care much for the special move, but we were all glad to finally have one of the best ice types in the game for a while. Since then, we’ve had a few better ice types, but in the same way Machamp is still a great pick, so is Mamoswine. Not the best, but very reliable. 2019 though was a long time ago. We’ve had some… [Continue Reading]

There’s Something Wrong With Niantic Lately

Playing Pokemon GO has been a bit weird lately. There have been lots of little issues and problems, but nothing really going towards fixing them. We’ve had weird glitches and bugs and a lot of late, weird or wrong information. And there have been updates that no one has liked in any way. It seems like there is something wrong with Niantic as of late. As of writing, the most recent oddity is a bonus on the current Sustainability event. We have a Sustainability event every year, generally focused on green things, and with common Pokemon related to the environment… [Continue Reading]
