The One Time I Willingly Played Crucible in Destiny 2

Team Scorched. Six players being brave.

I normally hate PvP stuff in Destiny 2. I’ve mostly only ever played it when forced to. To get the Rat King exotic sidearm, I had to play Crucible for a bit and I absolutely hated it. Just like Conclave in Warframe, I avoid Crucible like a plague. And while Gambit is technically PvPvE, the PvE side of things is miserable and the PvP makes it worse. However, as part of the Festival of the Lost event, a yearly Halloween thing, I kinda needed to play some PvP. Because, briefly, it was one of the best ways to get spectral… [Continue Reading]

Mindlessly Murdering Things

Rain on the Plains

You ever get one of those days where you just want to turn your brain off? Something seems a little skewed and you don’t know why? A good mood or bad mood can come along at any moment, and sometimes you just don’t want to think about anything. Other times though, you just want to do something simple and easy, like play a video game. For me, my favourite thing to do is mindlessly murder things. Just grab a big gun and mow down some generic bad guys. While there are a lot of games where you can do this,… [Continue Reading]

5 Reasons Why You Should Be Walking a Magikarp

A Pyro with more shiny Magikarp than he can handle.

Magikarp is the best Pokemon. People call it a joke, but it’s the best thing around. Some Magikarp are so good that they can flip-flop over hills and leap over mountains. When a Magikarp grows tired of being awesome, it then evolves into a Gyarados, a massive flying sea serpent. One that can mega evolve into a monstrous dark water beast. Magikarp is also cool in Pokemon GO. Except that it takes 400 candy to evolve into Gyarados. No need to worry though, you’ll get that candy, don’t you worry! Anyway here are 5 reasons why you should walk a… [Continue Reading]

Destiny 2’s Halloween Event Kinda Sucked Too

The Random Spooky Tree that appears in the Tower every year

The other day, I rambled on about how Warframe’s Halloween event sucked. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of games are having a slow Halloween this year. Destiny 2 at least had a few new things, including some cool Halloween costumes. But, like a lot of other games, Destiny 2’s event was tedious and not even that spooky. Bye Bye Infinite Forest, Hello Haunted Lost Sectors For previous years, Destiny 2 had the Infinite Forest. The Halloween event was pretty damn simple: rush through a Vex simulation killing as many enemies as possible, with random areas every time. A massive… [Continue Reading]

The Dark Infested Assassination

The Zealot Prelate in the Codex

“Wowee, it’s dark in here!” Three of the four Tenno turned around slowly, looking at Excalibur. “No, really?” Wisp snorted. “We hadn’t noticed, new guy.” “He’s right though!” Chroma took Excalibur’s side quite quickly. “It IS really dark in here, more so than usual. Far, far darker than us-” Chroma’s sentence was interrupted by the sound of Nova tripping up and bumping into him. “Like I said, darker than usual.” The dragon knight tutted as he helped Nova up off the floor. “Are you alright?” Nova brushed off dirt and what felt like slime off her shoulder, then adjusted her… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Letter in the Greek Alphabet

Image by Sophia Hilmar from PixaCyprus Aphrodites Rock by Sophia Hilmar on Pixabaybay

Greek is a cool language. It’s one of the oldest languages out there and it dips its toes in so many other languages. Even with modern English, we still use bits of Greek, squished and squashed into Latin before moving into our home language. When ancient languages mix with English, weird things can happen. Before we can start though, we kinda need to talk about the Greek alphabet. It’s not as hard as it looks. The Greek alphabet at first glance genuinely looks a bit scary. We have a few letters that sound and look the same. But we also… [Continue Reading]

My MR31 Volt Build

Volt with Kuva Bramma

Your Starter Warframe can be very hit or miss. While the choice of starter Warframes can be easily fixed by getting Rhino on Venus, there’s always a sentimental feel about your very first Warframe. In my case, I am probably WAY too attached to my Volt. That’s pretty obvious by now. After all I have written a ton of articles about my Volt. The question is, now that I’m such a high level, has my Volt build changed at all? Let’s find out! Well, well, well? What do we have here? It’s a very weird build that makes no sense.… [Continue Reading]

My 5 Least Favourite Warframes

Excalibur and Warframes speak to Lotus at Tennocon

By now, it’s pretty clear what my favourite Warframe is. Volt has held that number 1 spot ever since I started playing Warframe. While other frames have come and gone over the years, there’s actually a small group of Warframes that I genuinely don’t like. So here is a nice little article about my least favourite Warframes. Mesa Mesa is a popular frame, and I can see why. She has great looks, a great kit and dishes out a lot of damage. Not only that, but she also gets damage reduction as well, and has a ton of cool skins.… [Continue Reading]

5 Places to Vibe with Ivara

Volt Prime sitting on a bit of dead Sentient

Sometimes, it’s just nice to chill out and do nothing. Life is hectic and complicated. Our brains can easily get overwhelmed and too much stress really isn’t good for your health. Personally, I like to play video games (mostly Warframe) to calm myself down. But occasionally, I am too tired and burnt out to even play video games. So I end up just finding somewhere peaceful to sit and relax, while also killing things. Mostly while playing Ivara. “Why Ivara?” It’s quite simple, really. Ivara can remain perfectly invisible for quite a long time. While standing still, you drain almost… [Continue Reading]

One-Time Mythical Pokemon in Pokemon GO

Spirits of the Lake being eaten by various bird-like Pokemon.

Mythical Pokemon are weird. They’re simply not like other Pokemon. The vast majority of Pokemon are caught within games of Pokemon, whether it’s the original Red and Blue, current generation 8 Pokemon or even side games like Pokemon GO and Snap. However, with mythical Pokemon, it really does depend. Many Mythical Pokemon are somewhat withheld from normal, natural gameplay. Instead, they are given away as promos and prizes in various events. This can make filling a Pokedex a tad tricky and awkward to do. But, luckily, with Pokemon Home and Pokemon Go, you can much more easily catch Mythical Pokemon.… [Continue Reading]
