Ow My Finger

I’m in one of those moods today. One where everything isn’t quite right. There are days where everything feels slightly wrong, and you keep on messing up little things. Sure, the little things aren’t your fault. Some things just go wrong on their own. However, every little fuck up makes you reconsider your humanity and you just feel like everything is bad and horrible. It’s super easy to just get more and more annoyed, and more problems just pile up, making one want to cry. In fact, the smallest thing could set me off at any moment. Except, well, something… [Continue Reading]

Clay Oven-baked Bread and Stuff

Making your own bread isn’t actually that difficult. I have a dough that I use for both pizza and garlic bread, and it does the job fine. It’s not the most amazing bread ever, but I do think it’s worth trying to make your own bread. My recipe is quite simple but makes a ton of pizza dough. Ingredients: 500g flour plus more for kneading and rolling out one packet of instant dried yeast A teaspoon of olive or similar vegetable oil One teaspoon of sugar 1-3 teaspoons of salt Water Patience Instructions: Throw everything into a large bowl, except… [Continue Reading]

On Re-Learning To Ride A Bike

For my 30th birthday (heck, that feels weird to write), I was gifted a bicycle. It’s a cute little bike with a basket on the front and a little thing on the back where I can attach more basket-y things. Simply put, it’s a really lovely bike and I am very thankful for it. However, there’s a small problem here. Not with the bicycle. That’s fine. I’m gonna print some stickers out and stick them on. No, the problem is with me. I haven’t ridden a bike in like 18 years. Yeah, that’s… kinda a long time. The last time… [Continue Reading]

A Very Large GPS Drift

Since I’ve got a newer, more modern phone, I don’t get that much GPS drift any more. Sometimes, with all location-based games and apps, GPS signals can get blocked. After all, GPS is tied to a massive system of satellites which communicate and triangulate together. Most of the time, this GPS drift is very short and always snaps back after a few moments. However, one day, I went on a really nice trip, according to my GPS. The GPS was slow at first. It was just doing what it normally does, wandering to and from the Pokestop by my house.… [Continue Reading]

On Writing On What’s On My Mind

Today is not a particularlly productive day for me. Especially for writing, which I have been struggling with for a while. I used to be able to jot something article-like with ease. These days though, I do find keeping my writing up quite difficult. The question is, how do I get my mojo back? Originally, I would just write whatever comes to mind. A Team Fortress 2 class. A cosmetic. Perhaps a Warframe weapon or three. Or perhaps some little tiny thing no one cares about or hardly never noticed. My writing isn’t always about games. I also write about… [Continue Reading]

On Energy Drinks

I like the odd energy drink. My favourite energy drink is a brand imported from various places in Europe. Even here in little Cyprus, we actually have a bunch of different brands on the shelves, which rotate in the shops. There are plenty of better and healthier drinks available, but for a treat, I like to get an energy drink. A different source of caffeine Funnily enough, I don’t drink coffee. Coffee is the national drink that most people drink. Not just normal coffee either. Coffee shops are where Cypriots regularly congregate, and they’ll have everything from fancy lattes to… [Continue Reading]

Yay, it’s my birthday!

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to meeee! Happy birthday to me! Yep, today, April 1st, is my birthday. You know, April Fools day. And yes, I am expecting to hear a lot of the same lines, like being born for a joke. I’ve heard that one a lot. But yeah, today is a great day, a day of not just celebration of getting older, but also a chance to think back and see how things have been lately. I actually don’t normally do this (and I promised a while back to not write about myself… [Continue Reading]

Just Some Cool Small Youtube Channels that I’d Like to Recommend

When it comes to Youtube, my recommended section is always a bloody mess. It’s mostly full of old ASMR shit or the same handful of episodes of QI or Taskmaster. And never in any reasonable order. If it’s not UK quiz shows that I’ve already watched, it’s those damn “lo fi” channels constantly popping up, “mixes” of music or videos in a language I can’t read. Occasionally I’ll find something interesting, but I have to filter through all the other stuff first. However, sometimes you do find really cool stuff. Like the ones mentioned here. Danooct1 I’ve always been interested… [Continue Reading]

When Writers’ Block Attacks

Today, I am going to write about Writers’ Block. Because, somewhat ironically, I have a massive problem with Writers’ Block currently. Turns out, writing 500 words a day every day can only go on for so long. I was bound to get burnt out eventually. However, I’m still trying and I haven’t given up yet. So how am I coping? Eh, I’ve felt better. Got no energy. Normally, in a day, I have time to write something. Generally my writing is done in the evening, after work. But so far, 2022 has been keeping me quite busy, to the point… [Continue Reading]

Motivation and Exercise – Better Something than Nothing

As the weather warms up in the northern hemisphere, people start looking forwards to spring and summer. But if they’re anything like me, they may be dreading about how to get a nice summer body. After all, we all chunk up for Christmas, and it’s all cold and horrible in January and February. The motivation to get up and start exercising is generally very low. Sometimes, it gets so low that one decides they can’t be bothered to get out of chair, or out of bed even. However, no matter your age, it’s always good to exercise, even if it’s… [Continue Reading]
