People believe anything these days.

So the UK has voted to leave the European Union. Honestly, I kinda expected it. I hoped that the UK would vote to remain. Scotland voted to remain. So did Northern Ireland. But they have no choice in the matter, England has voted to leave. I thought they would, because people will believe anything. It was a vote of 52% to leave, 48% to remain. So a tiny bit over half the country wants to leave, but there are a LOT of people who don’t. “We won it without a bullet being fired!” claimed Nigel Farage, despite the dead MP… [Continue Reading]

Change is (mostly) Good but Tearful

Longest day today. Now it all gets shorter. Anyway. I’ve owned The Binding Of Isaac, the original flash game, on Steam for a while. Only really played it a little, but I always adored it. The art had its own style, a thick, bordered style that I’ve often used for my own art. The layout was simple. The HUD took up a large amount of the screen but showed you everything clearly, even the seven billion soul hearts you had. Times were quiet and simple. I never got very far on the original Binding of Isaac. I never managed to… [Continue Reading]

A Review of League of Legends as of late, with bots

Yes, I may be a stupid, Coop-VS-AI-only retard when it comes to League of Legends, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have opinions on the game. Coop VS AI is still an integral part of League of Legends, a game mode that is always available and is just as valid as Twisted Treeline and Howling Abyss. It’s also more valid than Dominion, which got removed. There are plenty of opinions to be had. The biggest opinion here is balance, but balance in Coop VS AI is a bit hard to come by, since the bots are all still really fucking… [Continue Reading]

Minecraft is becoming increasingly deadly…

There’s a trend I’ve noticed with every Minecraft update. Every time a new patch comes along, it gets harder and harder to just live. The game has been slowly getting various difficulty spikes and all sorts. It’s not a significant change, because pre-1.8 Beta Minecraft was pretty easy once you had a place to live and a bed, but I feel this is something worth discussing. I’ve always been a peaceful player in Minecraft. I mind my own business, I leave all the zombies alone, I explore and observe rather than explore and loot everything for what it’s worth. I… [Continue Reading]

Overwatch’s Bastion

If there’s a single character who I’ve seen more complaints about more than anyone else in Overwatch, it’s Bastion. But are these complaints justifiable or is it just whinging? Bastion is an unusual take on the high damage, low mobility character who is seen most of the time on defense, anywhere that you need a gigantic roadblock to hold the enemy back. He has three main modes of fighting; his recon form allows him to run around like anyone else, his sentry form increases his fire power but turns him literally into an immobile sentry gun, and his ultimate ability… [Continue Reading]

Reviewing the new Radiohead album – A Moon Shaped Pool

Did you know that I’m a Radiohead fan? Probably not. You probably also don’t know that I saw Radiohead live at Earls Court when I was 11 years old. Even more interesting is the fact that I’m technically on the Japanese-release album Com Lag. Track one is 2+2=5, recorded at Earls Court, the exact date I went to see them. But being a Radiohead fan is weird, because Radiohead themselves don’t really seem to give a fuck. They’re the sort of band that does whatever the hell it wants. Especially Thom Yorke. Albums are released pretty much at random, and… [Continue Reading]

Bethesda is making TESV Skyrim Special Edition – Mods on consoles!

The other day, Bethesda announced, alongside their new Fallout 4 DLCs and their Fallout Shelter mobile game coming to PC, TESV Skyrim Special Edition. There had been rumours of it drifting around before E3, but the official announcement was pretty neat. It’s no Oblivion/Morrowind remake, but it looks like this version of Skyrim will be the bee’s knees, or at least something pretty to look at while we wait for The Elder Scrolls VI. Normally I don’t really take much interest in E3, even though I really should, but I always glance at what Bethesda has coming up and it’s… [Continue Reading]

Why Does CSGO Purge Perfectly Good Content?

Coming from TF2 and into CSGO, this question has been jarring me a lot. A couple months ago the Operation Wildfire pass went live, bringing some new maps into Valve’s most successful shooter and letting everyone enjoy the work of several community mapmakers. While only Cruise really left a lasting impact on me personally, I still appreciate new content, but it did cause me to wonder what was going to happen to the maps once the Operation ends in a week. So I checked it out and learned that Valve traditionally deletes all the maps from an Operation once it’s over.… [Continue Reading]

The single best tip ever for modders

So right now, I am working on a mod for Skyrim, for my own personal use mainly. I spend a lot of time in Skyrim as a dragon, and sometimes I get lonely. Or, more precisely, I get bored and want to destroy Markarth again, but find that my rather cumbersome dragon can’t get into all those little crevices the same way that AI dragons can. But of course, just summoning Odahviing isn’t enough. Summoning Durvehviir, as awesome as he is, doesn’t last long enough, and his summon minion spells honestly just get in the way. On top of that,… [Continue Reading]

100% Orange Juice

100% Orange Juice, a board game on Steam filled with so much randomness that it would make random crit haters cry tears of blood. Starting off, this game is filled with many characters, many of whom come from other games. Some are original to this game, while others come from different games from the same company, such as the Suguri series, Flying Red Barrel, and QP Shooting. When you first start off on your magical adventure, you can choose one of four starting characters: QP, Suguri, Marc, or Kai. Each of them has their strengths and weaknesses, but I’d… [Continue Reading]
