Mirror Defense Is Way Better Than Normal Defense

I’ve never really liked defense missions in Warframe. They are slow and tedious and always prone to breaking due to having to make sure everything is dead. The main reason I play defense missions is either me starting the day doing the defense mission Seimeni on Ceres, or because it’s in the current sortie or Archon hunt. There are two basic forms of defense and both of them are boring. The first is protecting a static object, generally some sort of metal pod with an unconscious person inside it. The second involves protecting an NPC, who will always try and… [Continue Reading]

Medic Plays Pokemon Violet – Part 8

It’s been a while, but I’ve finally leveled up my Pokemon to an acceptable level and caught a bunch of unrelated Pokemon, and it’s time to actually do some story stuff. Instead of doing gyms though, I decided to focus on doing titans, in order to make my Miraidon stronger and more mobile. However, the last time I faced a titan, it beat the crap out of my under-leveled Pokemon and I had to run away. This time, I’m coming prepared. Both of the titans I am about to fight are steel types, meaning I’ll need fighting types. Can’t use… [Continue Reading]

These Abnormally Sized Pokemon Aren’t So Bad

A while back, I wrote an article about Pokemon sizes. In Pokemon GO, two new sizes were added to a Pokemon’s potential stats: XXS or XXL. Pokemon that are XXS and XXL are, as the name suggests, extra extra small and extra extra large. Originally, these new sizes were only visible on a handful of Pokemon, but ever since I wrote the previous article, now any Pokemon can be extra big or extra small. Has anything really changed though? Not really. The little banners are still there, as are the little popups saying whether a Pokemon is tiny or huge.… [Continue Reading]

Nowhere Left to Hide

Quick note: this article contains some sort of spoiler for Destiny 2 and its next major update. Read on if you are not afraid of spoilers. Destiny 2’s lore is often drawn out and somewhat hard to find. However, as the conclusion to the Witch Queen and season 19, things are a little too easy to find. Every major update gets an end of season cinematic, but Witch Queen is ending in a different way. A massive way. Something so powerful that even I, a complete noob and ultra casual player, had to watch it multiple times. After so long… [Continue Reading]

What is a better companion, a hundo or a shiny?

Lately, I’ve been having problems trying to decide what buddy I should have in Pokemon GO. I enjoy leveling up buddies and getting them to the best buddy level, but it can take a long time to do so. By my calculations, it tends to take 28-30 days to get one Pokemon to Best Buddy, and that’s in a semi casual way. There are definitely ways to speed up the process, but that requires more effort than I have available. Most of the time, I have to narrow things down and make a final decision on what Pokemon I will… [Continue Reading]

Control (2019) Review

When I bought Control back in 2019, I told myself I wouldn’t release a review until I’d completed the game. This wasn’t an unusual stance for me, as why would I review a game I hadn’t finished? However, 3½ years later and after countless attempts to revive my playthrough after taking multi-month breaks, I’m giving up. According to the Wiki I’m on story mission 7 of 10, and that’s where I’m calling it. Sorry. I want to add a large caveat that my complaints with this game are extremely subjective. Most of my friends enjoyed it, and you’ll probably like… [Continue Reading]

A TF2 Blog Post? A TF2 UPDATE?

What the hell? What is going on here? Is it the end times? It must be, because, after years of silence and nothing but crates, the Team Fortress 2 dev team have made a blog post on their website. A very special blog post. A post aimed at Steam Workshop creators, asking them to start creating all sorts. And, most importantly, the blog post confirms that we will get a REAL update this summer. Now, we’ve actually technically been having updates for the last few years, but all these updates have been mostly cosmetic. If you’re lucky, you’d get a… [Continue Reading]

On Purifying 100 Pokemon

When I managed to get to level 44 in Pokemon GO, I was interested to see what I needed to reach level 45. Turns out, I have a MASSIVE experience grind to get to level 45. Just need another 11 million experience. However, the three level 45 challenges all felt pretty good to me. Beat 100 grunts, beat 50 leaders and purify 100 Pokemon. While I beat 100 grunts very quickly, and am half way through beating the Team Rocket leaders, the purifying task is a little daunting. I mean, I’ve just completed the task to purify 100 Pokemon, but… [Continue Reading]

Medic Plays Pokemon Violet – Part 7

Okay so I’ve been a tad busy. I found and caught a Gible, and immediately I wanted to level the little bastard up, because, well, I don’t have a dragon type on my team yet. But also, a little birdy told me that I might need a ground type in a bit. That’s because I’m heading off to the electric gym on the other side of the world map. All those Pokecenters were well worth walking to. But before I go in with just one ground type, I consider bringing something else too. A second ground type. There were wild… [Continue Reading]

On Playing Mercy

The other day, I was playing Overwatch 2 with the boyfriend, and I decided to play Mercy for a change. Normally I play Lucio with a bit of Moira depending on my mood, but I thought it’d be good to give Mercy another try. After all, Mercy has changed a lot since I played her back in the now defunct Overwatch 1. Did I enjoy playing Mercy? Not really. I was doing basically nothing but healing. Considering that Mercy has two forms of magical beam energy in her staff, I never really had a chance to use the damage-boosting beam.… [Continue Reading]
