A Distinct Lack of Yellow in Sea of Thieves

Anyone who’s seen my Warframe articles knows that I normally use bright yellow on all my characters. Yellow is my favourite colour, it’s the colour of one of my main Phoviverse protagonists and I like to make sure that it’s everywhere. If I could, I would have made a yellow Bohrok, I do have a yellow head plate, but Bohrok limbs don’t come in yellow. In Sea of Thieves, I kinda wanted to continue my tradition of wearing yellow, but, well, I have like one option total. And it’s not even that yellow. I realized that there was no yellow… [Continue Reading]

How To Win Every Showcase in Pokemon GO

With the Season of Wonders update, we actually got a bunch of new showcases. The first of which was for Electric Type Pokemon. We were getting more to mostly fill gaps between events, but also because there’s a new reward tied to showcases: if you get the platinum medal for winning showcases, you can get a Professor Pikachu. And, along the way, you can unlock some cosmetic items and a pose for your avatar. The problem is, winning showcases can be a little bit tricky. Luckily, there are some tips on how to win more often. Save your XXL Pokemon… [Continue Reading]

Predestination – A Movie I Didn’t Finish

It kinda seems stupid to write an article about a movie I never got around to finishing, but sometimes I feel like things aren’t worth finishing. After all, sometimes things are just so bad that you can’t finish them. However, Predestination, a movie I watched recently, I turned it off because I was bored. Okay, I should probably explain why I started watching the movie first. This was on Netflix, and Netflix shows a short preview of a movie before you play it, and it also has a short synopsis. The synopsis stated that the movie I was about to… [Continue Reading]

Palkia and Dialga’s Origin Formes are Terrifying

I’ve been holding off on this article for a while, because I don’t own Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and never had any decent way of seeing how Origin Form Palkia and Dialga look, outside of game screenshots. But now that I have managed to catch a couple in Pokemon GO, I can finally see how horrible they are. And they’re genuinely not great. A friend of mine went “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?” when they saw Origin Dialga for the first time, and I had to explain that it was Dialga but in a different form. Seriously, these guys aren’t great.… [Continue Reading]

Charged Up Research Day – My Thoughts

I’ll be honest, I’ve always been a sucker for electric types. Zapdos is my favourite Legendary Bird, Raikou is my favourite Legendary Beast and, outside of Pokemon, I’ve always drifted towards those with electrical powers, like Volt in Warframe. So an event in Pokemon GO featuring a bunch of electric types was always going to draw my attention. It’s a shame that the Charged Up Research Day was shit. The first thing I’m going to complain about is the spawns. Okay, sure, we had Shadow Raikou in raids, but I only saw one in four hours and there was no… [Continue Reading]

More Things I’d Like To See in Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO is an alright game. It is genuinely free to play most of the time (apart from Keldeo) and you can get a lot done assuming you don’t waste money on a pair of Giratina wings like I did. While you do have to wait, you can reasonably fill out most of the Pokedex. However, there are a few things that I’d like to see changed in Pokemon GO. Well, a few more things. Pity chances During the Sinnoh tour, hardly anyone in my normal raid group managed to get a shiny, despite doing 12 raids each. The chances… [Continue Reading]

Sea Forts are the Best

Sea of Thieves has a lot of content you can do, but there’s one thing I do in pretty much every single Sea of Thieves session I have, even if I don’t intend to play very long. Even if I just intend on going fishing, I’ll always go to a Sea Fort before I do anything else, after I’ve bought all my supplies and stuff. Sea Forts are stone fortresses dotted across the Sea of Thieves. There are six of them total, and they all have the exact same layout, although there are three cosmetic themes: standard, prison and overgrown,… [Continue Reading]

On Being A Shit Helmsman

On the Stormcloud and in the Calcium Kings, the Sea of Thieves guild I belong to, run by my long-time friend Bacxaber, everyone kinda has their own job. I’m a cannoneer and bucketer, Bacxaber is main cannoneer and boarder, he’s normally the one who boards other ships and forces them to drop anchor, and both Zach and Fox split being the helmsman and firing cannons, with Fox doing more cannoneering and Zach doing more repairs. We know what we are good at, we know our jobs and it cuts down on unneeded communication. But sometimes, the normal team isn’t around,… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Twitch Streamers

In my desperate bid to write articles, I am not just scraping the bottom of the barrel, I have clawed my way through it and am on my way to digging towards the center of the earth. But, well, I’ve had a lot of Twitch playing in the background while I work, so I feel like this is a good topic to write about. Plus, I’ve mentioned Youtubers that I follow before, Twitch is no different. Anyway, here are some of my favourite Twitch streamers. The assorted friends and stuff Before I go into streamers who I don’t know but… [Continue Reading]

The Road to Sinnoh was Paved with Mistakes

For the last four years, we’ve had a region-based event in February, with a large tour at the end of the month. The first year featured the Kanto Tour, which released every Pokemon in Generation 1 as a shiny, including shiny Mew in a special paid-for masterwork research. This continued for Johto and Hoenn, and we just had one for Sinnoh. Normally, leading up to the big tour, you get a “road to X” event, which is supposed to get you into the swing of things and bring back some Pokemon from the region as a teaser for the big… [Continue Reading]
