Yet More Problems with Nightwave

I know I’ve gone on about Nightwave a lot, but it’s the current new thing in Warframe, replacing an ancient relic that has been in the game for years. Sure, Alerts weren’t ever that important aside from rare Gift of the Lotus missions and things like that, but Nightwave has a lot more… urgency to it. Nightwave comes in ‘Seasons’ or ‘Episodes’, and we are currently on the first season, the Wolf of Saturn Six. There’s a vague story behind it, that this Wolf guy has broken out of a high security prison and him and his buddies are now… [Continue Reading]

Tired of the Whiteness of the Orb Vallis

The more I think about it, the more and more tired of Fortuna and the Orb Vallis I become. There’s been something bothering me lately and I can’t quite put my finger on it. I’m going to start off with the fact that I love Fortuna. I love the aesthetic of it. I love almost all the characters you meet in Fortuna, apart from Little Duck. I bloody love the music and song tracks introduced alongside Fortuna and STILL find myself humming “We All Life Together” occasionally. The custom MOAs are cool, the Warframes that have come out of Fortuna… [Continue Reading]

Body Diversity in Warframe

You know what’s cool about all these different Warframes? Their body diversity. There’s a Warframe for pretty much every body shape you want, and plenty of variety in general. I mean, if you want busty and with big hips, there’s Saryn, sitting there waiting for you. If you want a smaller shape and smaller breasts, there’s Mag. If you want a curvy body with a spectacular backside that’s perfectly visible through a window, then Mesa Prime is the perfect fit for you. Khora is the best if you want a curvy body and a dominatrix at the same time. If… [Continue Reading]

Treecko Community Day

Well another Community Day has been and gone. This one featured Treecko, the Generation 3 grass starter Pokemon and number 1 in the Hoenn national Pokedex. But this Community Day was ever so slightly different. I mean, the normal stuff wasn’t different at all. A ton of Treeckos spawned, mostly replacing the spawns of every other Pokemon. Lure Modules had a longer timer on them and for this event, all eggs put into incubators hatched four times faster than normal (which meant the one 10km egg I got hatched in 2.5km instead of 10). Treeckos were everywhere, but Lure Modules… [Continue Reading]

Printers are Evil

Every single printer I have ever used, seen or heard of is evil. It doesn’t matter whether a printer is a brand spanking new printer or a relic from the past, printers are evil things that seek to ruin your day. Printers can smell fear, they can smell urgency and they WILL ruin your day if you can. For example, I have a printer in our office. If I plug it in to my computer to print something off, most of the time it will do as I ask it to. Unless it’s close to running out of ink and… [Continue Reading]

Fighting the Exploiter Orb

After some scanning and some fudging of numbers and some collecting of diluted thermia from a boring Mobile Defense clone, the Exploiter Orb is now available to fight. By “available to fight”, I mean “available to throw stuff at”. Yep, most of the Exploiter Orb fight consists of you throwing canisters of ‘thermia’ at a massive spider-like robot. The fight starts off with everyone entering the remains of Deck 12. Eudico and Zuud remember what happened and you sort of just wander around until someone pulls a leaver (which costs everyone 1 diluted thermia). You hear a scream and the… [Continue Reading]

Companions and Sentinels – Revenge of the Kavat

I’ve always held the belief that Sentinels, no matter what, were better than Kavats and Kubrows, and honestly I still think they’re better than MOAs, even though MOAs combine most of the things that Sentinels and Kavats and Kubrows do. But lately, I’ve been running around with a Smeeta Kavat and I think my opinions are changing slightly. Why am I running a Smeeta Kavat rather than my normal Carrier Prime? Well, it all started with the Week 2 Nightwave challenges. Two of the elite challenges involved hour long survivals, so we went off to do an hour long Kuva… [Continue Reading]

Rest in Peace, Quick Melee Attacks

A big part of the Buried Debts update was the appearance of Melee 2.9. Basically, for the last year or so, there have been plans to rework the melee system in Warframe. This rework though was so big that the developers decided to split the rework into parts, with the first part being a general update of melee and weapon switching. It’s all very simple. You want to shoot something, you shoot them. You want to hit something with your sword? You press your melee key (E by default) and you immediately switch to your sword and hit said something.… [Continue Reading]

Missing Alert Missions

It’s weird, but with Nightwave being around now, I’ve started to miss alert missions. Nightwave was supposed to replace the need for alerts, but… Nightwave isn’t a replacement for alerts at all. The alerts system was always very basic. Any alert could be any random mission that would give you a specific reward at the end. Mostly these weapons would give you credits and a resource, or pitiful amounts of endo. Occasionally there would also be alerts for things like weapons (for example the Plasma Sword and the Jaw Sword) and you can also get random blueprints for Warframe helmets.… [Continue Reading]

Rayray’s Danger Noodle Weekend

Rayquaza is awesome. It’s the flying danger noodle of the Weather Trio, the other two being Kyogre and Groudon. But unlike the other two, Rayquaza got left out of the recent event where Kyogre and Groudon appeared in raids, with a chance to meet their shiny forms. Nope, Rayquaza had to wait for ages to have a chance to reappear. The deadly flying danger noodle ended up reappearing in a raid weekend, similar to the raid ‘weekend’ Latias appeared in. But this time, Rayquaza is actually only appearing for a weekend. For people not in the US, this means that… [Continue Reading]
