Costume Pokemon I’d Like to See

In the past, I have complained about costume Pokemon, and how there are too many of them. But it’s clear as day that Niantic won’t stop with the costumes and hats, so we might as well join in and think of our own costumes. Here’s a bunch of costumed Pokemon that I want to see. Party Hat Weedle We already have Party Hat Wurmple, so why not go a step further and shove more party hats on Pokemon? Actually, we don’t really need to do that. Still, Weedle has a horn on its head that is perfect for a party… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Costumed Pokemon

While costumes on Pokemon can often be seen as a cheap way to better an event, there’s actually quite a lot of them that I like. Sure, these costume Pokemon waste precious space in my inventory, but I can’t help but like them. Here are my favourite costume Pokemon: Party hat Gengar I like Pokemon in party hats. After all, my Medic in TF2 always wears a party hat, and I like to carry that over into Pokemon GO. However, there are multiple Pokemon with party hats, but I can’t like all of them. After all, not all of them… [Continue Reading]

Another Ramble about Costumed Pokemon

As of writing, we are on part 2 of a two-part Halloween event in Pokemon GO. Alongside all your normal ghost types, this year, we have a ton of new costumed Pokemon. But these costumed Pokemon are different. They can evolve. Yep, we got a costumed Vulpix and a costumed Pumpkaboo, and both of them can evolve into Ninetails and Gourgeist, keeping their costumes as they do so. Both of the basic Pokemon are also shiny-eligible but, although you can find wild Ninetails and Gourgeist with the costumes on, they can’t be shiny. Pretty common stuff with the shiny versions,… [Continue Reading]

Cosplay is Hard

An obvious title, but as I nurse a small, burnt finger from a hot glue gun and wait patiently for a bad paint job to dry, it’s something I can rant about. Seriously, cosplay is hard. Well, anything complicated is hard. There’s a lot of piss easy costumes you can do, with just some generic stuff from around the house. It’s a weird, backwards scenario where the more effort you put into a costume, the more quickly things go wrong and you end up wondering if a simple costume made from odds and ends would have been better. For me,… [Continue Reading]

Painting Silly Replica Borderlands Guns

Most of the toy shops were I live are shit, only containing shitty toys from China. The main toy store is more of a generic sells-tons-of-crap store called Jumbo. But there is one good thing about these shitty stores. You can get TONS of shitty, fake, Chinese guns for low prices. And these cheap, shitty guns are perfect for making Borderlands weapons. Why Borderlands guns? Because Borderlands guns are mostly random in shape and size. You could spend actual time and money making a specific Borderlands weapon from scratch but that might take far longer – and in the case… [Continue Reading]

Dress Up Time!

The Team Fortress 2 characters are among the most common seen at gaming or comic conventions, unless you happen to live in Cyprus, where they’re practically non-existent. Scouts run rampant and Spies have been seen infiltrating any dressing up convention they can find, particularly furry ones. Unfortunately for me, opportunities to dress up are few and far between, so I end up dressing up to bake cakes and things. That being said, I’ve got a couple of TF2 costumes at my disposal. But why are TF2 characters so common? Well the obvious reason is because they’re all, to a one,… [Continue Reading]
