Medic’s Dragon Mod Recommendations for Skyrim

I love dragons. I want to be a dragon. But the closest I’ll ever get to that is my strange mod setup for Skyrim, involving the Play As A Dragon Mod and Open Cities Skyrim. Still, those two mods on their own aren’t that great. Even if you don’t want to be a dragon, the vanilla dragons in Skyrim can be a bit boring, so you might need some other dragon mods as well. Here are a bunch of recommendations of dragon mods that I think you should at least try. These are all for Legendary Edition (which is what… [Continue Reading]

The Power That Is The Adaptation Mod

Adaptation is an amazingly powerful mod. It’s a Warframe mod that allows you to adapt to damage that you take for a small amount of time, earning damage resistance in the process. The best way to describe it, really, is with an example. But trust me, it’s a cool mod. So let’s say that I am playing as Nidus and I get shot by a Grineer Lancer. That Lancer does Impact damage to me, so I get 10% Impact damage resistance for a little bit from my Adaptation mod. I get shot again before the Adaptation damage resistance goes away,… [Continue Reading]

Pixelmon, also known as WTF DO ALL THESE BERRIES DO?

Minecraft modding these days is so easy. You just install your mod manager and mod extender of choice (e.g. Forge) then drop your mods inside the Mods folder. It’s honestly just as easy as installing old versions of Minecraft. Gone are the days where you had to delete the META-INF folder and mess around with other things. Between this and the fact that I kinda actually do like Pokemon these days, I couldn’t help but say yes when my sister invited me to play Pixelmon with her. Pixelmon is basically a Minecraft version of Pokemon, spanning generations 1 through 6.… [Continue Reading]

General Strike: A Monopoly Full-Conversion Mod

The next generation of Game Development Master’s students have started their program (I graduated!) and one of their first assignments is to make a mod for a pre-existing board game. I didn’t get this assignment in my year, but I happened to have already made one back when I was in high school, and the professor asked that I upload it somewhere so he could use it an example. On that note, hi everybody from UCSC Games & Playable Media class of 2020! General Strike A Monopoly game for two to four players General Strike is a board game played on… [Continue Reading]

Play As A Dragon – That feeling when a mod you thought would never get updated suddenly gets updated…

It’s funny how things go. Throughout most of July, I’d kinda given up on playing Skyrim. There weren’t any new mods I fancied, I wasn’t in the mood to try anything insanely experimental and I’d pretty much given up hope that I’d see a mod come out that worked with or even replaced Burning Skies, a Playable Dragon Mod I’ve talked about a few times on here. But lo and behold, I stumbled across Play As A Dragon almost by random, sitting in the Most Recent section of Nexus Mods, a couple of pages in. Made by the same guy… [Continue Reading]

Mods to To Go Alongside Burning Skies

So, you’ve found a way to be a dragon in Skyrim, potentially by reading yesterday’s article. Now you want to enhance the experience a bit. You want a couple of mods to tie everything together and really make Skyrim a place to fear your dragony self. Here’s a bunch of mods that will help you with that. Open Cities Skyrim This mod, I love it so much. There’s nothing cooler than riding your horse into the middle of Solitude/Windhelm and killing all those Imperial/Stormcloak scum, then riding off into the sunset. Alternatively, with whatever mod you’re using to be (or… [Continue Reading]

How to Play as a Dragon in Skyrim

Yes, you can play as a dragon in Skyrim. The bad news is that to do so, you require a couple of mods, it’s a bit buggy and you need to use the old version of Skyrim, not Special Edition. It’s Legendary Edition only, folks. The good news is that the modded version is far better than the pitiful excuse for dragon riding that Bethesda added, and you actually get to be a dragon, rather than sitting mindlessly on a dragon’s back, only allowed to use a handful of spells. The bad news is that playing as a dragon kinda… [Continue Reading]

Some Good Mods for Sentinels

I’ve mentioned a few times that Sentinels are better than Kubrows and Kavats. The reasons are obvious. Sentinels don’t run face first into danger, they are far easier to maintain, they are cheaper to make, you can give them different weapons and they don’t need to be fed. But Sentinels have the added bonus of also having more initial polarities than companions too. Which means you can squeeze more mods on your floating buddies. But what mods should you use? Before we start, when companions, it matters where your mods go. For mods that make your Sentinel actively do things… [Continue Reading]

Half-Life: C.A.G.E.D.

A free Half-Life mod with a single player campaign by an ex-Valve developer? Why, yes please. Though it should really be called “C.A.G.E.D. – A Half-Life Mod” considering it has nothing to do with the world of Half-Life, it just shares the engine and models of the original. Some point through the game I noticed this and felt a tinge of disappointment but I wanted to reach the end and judge it accordingly on its own merit. The basic premise is that you’re locked up for some unspecified crime and you prefer the view from the outside of the bars,… [Continue Reading]

5 Of My Favorite Free-to-Play Nude Mods

Warning! Censored images of naked people (and one bunny) in this article. Turn back if you’re at work! Also assume that any links are to NSFW sites. It’s an article about nudity, so we’re warning you now. There ARE naked people here. Turn away if you don’t like that. Do you like nude mods? I like nude mods. But up till now, the only free-to-play game I’ve covered in my articles is the nude mod for Star Trek Online. This time I wanted to write about other games you can play right now without spending any money. Star Wars: The… [Continue Reading]
