On March 30th, Niantic made an announcement regarding the future of remote raid passes. Simply put, they are increasing the price of remote passes to 195 coins, with a pack of three costing 525 coins. Even worse, they are reducing the amount of remote raids a player can do in one day, from infinite to 5. This announcement has popped up very suddenly, and the changes will occur on April 6th. Elite TMs suck. They are rare and hideously expensive, and you have separate Elite TMs for fast attacks and charge attacks. The only way to reliably get Elite TMs are by buying them in a bundle for Community Days, or reaching rank 20 in PvP. And even then, it still alternates every season, between fast and charge TMs. On top of that, seasons are pretty long, generally 90 days long, so once you reach rank 20, you’re still waiting for three months to claim your reward. During the Hoenn Tour, we actually had a lot of raiding to do. Both Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre had come out, and they were insanely powerful. In fact, they were so powerful that we needed much bigger teams than normal. While a standard Kyogre generally goes down with 4-6 players, Primal Groudon needed 8 for a comfortable victory, and was only just doable with 6 players, all using Megas. Community days are always fun, and this is no real exception. Slowpoke is a pretty cute Pokemon (and one of my brother’s favourites) so it’s nice to get something a bit different. As of writing, there is no event going on in Pokemon GO. The Festival of Colours event has ended, and we’re getting a Team Rocket-based event coming next week. During the Hoenn Tour, one of the main features was doing raids. We were raiding for Groudon and Kyogre, which had reverted into their Primal forms, making them much, much more powerful. They had a CP of about 90,000 each, which is nearly double what normal legendary Pokemon have. So, in order to defeat these monsters, we needed to use the best teams possible. Did we all do that?
