Things I Watch When I’m Sad

Life is full of ups and downs, and when you’re on a down, you need something to bring you up. For me, that often involves watching videos on Youtube and other video services. Here are the sort of things I watch when I’m feeling sad. I’ve mentioned most of this stuff before, but I feel like these things are worth repeating, because the world these days is so depressing. Dog grooming videos I don’t know why I watch pet grooming videos in particular, but they almost always have happy endings. Even videos with massively matted dogs end up with a… [Continue Reading]

The Shitty Version of Diabetes

When someone mentions diabetes, I know where most people’s minds go to. Normally it’s mentioned on some sort of picture of a sugar-heavy dessert. Medic does Competitive… or not…

At the start of UGC season 5 of 4v4 and season 18 of 6v6, I had a plan. The plan was to document my time playing through two seasons. It’d be full of ups and downs, interesting things and stuff I learned. The story of a Medic going from pub server nobody to competitive game nobody. And a bit of fun. As you can plainly see, that hasn’t happened. Originally, the reason I stopped writing was because I didn’t really want to write about our awful 6v6 losses. 6v6 was supposed to be the main focus of the series of… [Continue Reading]

A potential future story

The photo on the wall stared back at him, just like it had done every other time he’d stared at it. It was the only picture he had kept when he fled America and rushed back to his home land. The picture itself was old and tattered, but the scene embedded in it still shined as if it was taken yesterday. In it stood nine men, all of different shapes, sizes, ages and nationalities. They were all cheering and waving and holding bottles of beer. He couldn’t remember who took the picture, but he remembered how much of a pain… [Continue Reading]
