Warframe Cosmetics that don’t require Platinum

Looking cool can be quite costly in Warframe. The majority of cosmetics tend to require Platinum to purchase. And some cosmetics, namely Tennogen and Prime stuff, can only be bought with real money. However, just because you are on  budget, doesn’t mean you can’t look handsome too. Here are some options for the frugal Tenno. Baro Ki’Teer’s shop Baro comes every two weeks with new gear from the void, most of which is cosmetic. However, the quality of his gear is all over the place. Sometimes he’ll bring back a cosmetic from the past (like the Harkonar Wraith armour) but… [Continue Reading]

On Bosses and Invulnerability Phases in Warframe

Boss battles are interesting. Just like everything else in gaming, a boss battle is supposed to be impactful, but bosses ramp it up to 11. Of course they do. You’ve been running around killing mooks and now suddenly here’s a challenge, demanding that you kill the big bad. However, it’s rarely as simple as “shoot them until they die”, there is always some sort of puzzle required, or a chance for you to not deal damage at all. Bosses go invulnerable and you either force them to come back or wait for them to stop. In Warframe in particular, most… [Continue Reading]

What has Stalker been up to lately?

Fun fact: The Second Dream is Warframe’s first cinematic quest, and was released late in 2015. In said quest, we saw Stalker getting an upgrade and also getting a job. Stalker served the Sentient mastermind Hunhow, in the hopes that he would be able to kill the Tenno for their crimes against the Orokin. Before then, Stalker was mainly a scary character who would attack anyone with his death mark, kitted out with weapons and abilities on par with our Warframes. After the Second Dream though, Stalker kinda disappeared. Well, he definitely wasn’t gone. In fact, Stalker kept all the… [Continue Reading]

Squeezing More Affinity, XP and Focus Out Of Our Warframes

To say that there’s a lot of grinding to do in Warframe is pretty accurate. After all, if your goal is to increase your Mastery Rank, you need to level up items. If you are heading towards True Master or the Legendary ranks, you need to obtain and level up pretty much every single weapon, warframe and more in the game. Thankfully, there are ways to speed up the grind a little. As I’ve mentioned before, these locations are great for leveling things up, but can get boring after a while. That being said, it’s also worth looking into optimizing… [Continue Reading]

Using Weapons as Cosmetics

When I first started playing Warframe, one of my biggest desires was to give my stumpy Warframe some wings. At the time, there weren’t really any options at all and I was too new to understand things like Tennogen items. But when we had no platinum and only weapons, we tried all sorts to make ourselves look like wings. Granted, most of these are melee weapons, mostly because melee weapons have more varied sheathing positions. You can do more than you’d think with all the holstering options that melee weapons have. Anyway, here’s to a small trip down memory lane,… [Continue Reading]

Customizing The Most Confusing Things

When it comes to customization, Warframe really lets you create gorgeous things. With a myriad of not just colour schemes, but also armour, capes and more, decorating a Warframe is an enjoyable experience. Not only can you decorate a ton of things, but you can decorate things on a budget, and there are plenty of free customization options too. Bow and Arrows and Dangly things You can decorate a lot of things on and around your Warframe, to the point that one can forget stuff. Bows for example can be coloured and there are several skins for them. What’s interesting… [Continue Reading]

Things that should be Ephemeras

Ephemeras are great. They’re basically Unusual Hats but for Warframe and not worn on the head. An Ephemera uses the colours of your armour, so you can match it to the rest of your Warframe. Some However, there are also some things that could be awesome Ephemeras, they just haven’t been added yet. Syndicate Gear Funnily enough, Syndicates did get some cosmetics recently. There are currently full armor sets for the Syndicates, Cetus and Fortuna.  However, you know what would be just as cool? Ephemeras. You don’t even really need to get too fancy with these. Maybe, as a player… [Continue Reading]

How I’d Change Warframe’s New Player Experience

I won’t deny it, Warframe’s tutorial missions suck. You are very quickly left on an island, not really sure what you can do and where you should go. Sure, there are signposts somewhat pointing you in the right direction, but most of Warframe’s information and guides are outside the game itself. And having barely any inventory makes things worse. So here is how I’d improve the new player experience. Because, frankly, the recent introduction changes are mostly cosmetic. They just added a cool trailer at the start of the game. Give more weapon options Funnily enough, there’s actually quite a… [Continue Reading]

My Overall Thoughts About the New War

I’ll be honest with you all, I’ve made far too many articles referring to the New War. We need a change of pace, and I’ll be on that shortly. But there’s an article I’ve not actually written about yet. My overall, general thoughts regarding the New War. Now, I’ve had many, many thoughts about the New War quest, mostly because it’s the big new thing that’s appeared in Warframe. A game-altering event with some small, noticeable changes, but also completely shakes up Warframe’s lore before swiftly returning to normalcy. However, there is something that is still bothering me about the… [Continue Reading]

Little World-Building Tidbits I’d Like to See in Warframe

Warframe has a lot going for it. We recently had a war go in and have just started making things go back to normal. In particular, the New War did somewhat show how normal people lived, most notably for the Tenno. However, I feel like a lot of world-building lore is pretty well hidden, restricted to quests or events of the past. Here are a few ideas I’ve had, to add just a pinch of nice lore into the daily grind. Exploring other colonies a bit more “What other colonies?” you may ask. Well, there’s been a few mentioned. In… [Continue Reading]
