Fishing on the Cambion Drift is Rather Annoying

I am normally a big fan of fishing. Not just in Warframe, but in other games as well. Minecraft fishing has always been particularly strong. Heck, I spent way, way too long fishing for a Pokemon in Pixelmon. But there’s something… lacking when it comes to fishing in the Cambion Drift. I’m just not enjoying infested fishing as much as I should. Here’s why.

Covert Lethality – The Deadly Mod that Died a Horrible Death

Warframe isn’t really known for having scaling damage. Sure, there are abilities that scale to high levels in various ways. Some abilities, like Octavia’s Mallet, scale based on enemy damage, making them valuable for long survival missions. But most Warframes have some sort of limit. In fact, most frames lack endurance. But what if there was an item that could provide a way to kill any enemies, regardless of level? For a while, there was such a way to do just that. It was called Covert Lethality. Covert Lethality was a mod that could only be used on single Daggers.… [Continue Reading]

Infested Doggos and Infested Kitties of the Cambion Drift

The Heart of Deimos has brought us new companions! The last companion we got was the third type of Kavat, the vampire-like Vasca. The Vasca appeared in the Plains of Eidolon revamp update. Since then, companions have been pretty quiet. But now we have six new ones! SIX! Three Kavats and three Kubrows. Oh, sorry, they’re called Vulpaphyla and Predasites. Anyway, let’s have a look at them! Three cats that look like foxes, three dogs that look like sphinxes. For some reason, the appearances of these pets are reversed. We have infested fox-like creatures with long snouts that are actually… [Continue Reading]

NECRAMECHS ARE SO COOL

Oh my god, Necramechs are so damn cool. I never thought I needed a massive mech in Warframe, but here I am, loving a massive mech. The Necramech is a weirdly strange contraption and it is stupidly powerful. But you need to work hard to obtain one. The grind to get it is a pain. To obtain your own Necramech, you need to enter Isolation Vaults, scattered across the Cambion Drift. These are located deep underground, below fleshy tunnels, filled with Infested. There’s a ton of steps just to get to the bit where the Necramech parts drop. That mostly… [Continue Reading]

Warframe’s New Introduction Quest

Alongside the massive update that is the Heart of Deimos, we actually got a new introductory quest. The brand new player will now experience a completely different start to Warframe. We get a cool cinematic and everything! Let’s talk about it, and whether it’s any good. The introduction quest, Awakening, is pretty and interesting, and is split into two parts: a long cinematic cut scene and the tutorial bit. The cinematic is very shiny and unrepresentative. I mean, it’s definitely a cool cinematic, mostly split between the little girl and Excalibur. It features a girl running away from Grineer who… [Continue Reading]

The Cambion Drift – Tripping Over Red, Brown, Red and More Red

The Cambion Drift is the third big open space in Warframe. We started off with a Grineer-plagued brown Plains of Eidolon. Then we moved on to the Corpus-filled, white-glare Orb Vallis. And now we have the Cambion Drift, a hellish landscape flooded with Infested and lots and lots of red. Seriously, it’s so red. While the Orb Vallis is mostly large amounts of white and grey with the odd speckling of blue, the Cambion Drift looks like an open wound. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m saying it’s all very red. The only not-red things are all brown. There’s only… [Continue Reading]

A Quick Ramble About the Heart of Deimos Intro Quest

It’s kinda sad, really. I’m so damn exhausted for real life that I’m too tired to actually play video games. Despite the fact that the massive 3GB Heart of Deimos update just landed. Amazingly though, on my crappy internet, the download somehow went by quite quickly, and I got to at the very least play the intro quest. This quest is… not what I expected. I honestly didn’t think that a good 60% of the quest would be listening to family squabbles. By the way, this is going to be a SPOILER HEAVY ARTICLE. If you don’t want to be… [Continue Reading]

Soloing and Duo-ing Things in Warframe

One of the things I’ve always liked about Warframe is how almost all of the game is solo-able. The only things that weren’t doable solo were the 4-8player Trials, but they were designed with 8 players in mind. Even the Halls of Ascension, including the floating platform, can be done on your own by cleverly using your Operator, your Warframe and a handful of Specters. You can even build and fund a full dojo completely on your own. But playing solo is so, so much more work than playing with a group. Right off the bat, the biggest challenge to… [Continue Reading]

Retvik’s Thoughts on the Roar Pre-Nerf

As part of some desperate attempt to not break Warframe completely, some subsumed abilities will be nerfed. What does this mean? This means that, when the Helminth system comes out, some abilities won’t be identical. For example, Roar won’t have the same strength on other frames as it does Rhino. It’s only a handful of abilities, but it’s caused an uproar (no pun intended) in the Warframe community. Why? I don’t really know. But honestly, as a person with a blog, I really don’t know what the big deal is. Seriously, take a moment to stop and think about this.… [Continue Reading]

Five Hidden Farming Spots in Warframe

There’s often so much to farm in Warframe that you don’t know where to begin. But after a while, you get bored of the same old spots. After all, how many times can you play Sanctuary Onslaught without getting bored? And I am sure most people are sick of playing the Index, right? With so much to farm, sometimes you need new, fresh, farming locations. Here’s five such farming spots, which should hopefully liven up your Warframe sessions. The Bit-of-Everything Farm – Profit Taker and Exploiter Orb It somewhat makes sense that the massive robots, build by a cult that… [Continue Reading]
