1000 Days Logging In And All I Got Was This Armour Set

I finally hit it. The 1000 login milestone. Actually, I hit it about two weeks ago but got distracted by a bunch of other things and never got around to writing about it. But either way, Maroo (it’s always her or Simaris, my two least favourite allies) popped by, said some random crap then left me with the Lodestar Armour Bundle. Really, you’d think, after 1000 days, I’d actually call login rewards by their proper term, Daily Tributes, but oh well, they’re daily login rewards, that’s what I remember them as. The Lodestar Armour Bundle is the last of the… [Continue Reading]

The Long, Tedious Grind Towards Using Archwing Guns on Ground Missions

Arch-guns, Archwing Guns are pretty cool. They’re massive, heavy weapons that you summon from your ship and use to murder all your enemies. These weapons were originally only really usable in the vast wastes of space, where the lack of gravity means they are light enough to use. But with a Gravimag and an Orokin Catalyst installed you can use these Archwing Guns in any mission. Sort of. There’s a long, tedious animation you have to sit through first. While some enemies will drop items that will reset the 5 minute cooldown between deployments and refill your limited Arch-gun, you… [Continue Reading]

The Only Five Focus Abilities You’ll Ever Need

Focus, unlocked by completing the Second Dream and expanded upon in the War Within, is a strange, somewhat tedious thing to farm. At first, farming Focus is insanely difficult as you’ll only ever have one or two Focus Lenses at first. You’ll obtain more later on, via bounties and events and things like that, but the initial focus farm is slow and tedious and just doesn’t get anywhere, because about 1% of all affinity you earn is turned into Focus. On whatever you have a lens equipped on. Slowly, things do open out. Over time, you’ll get more lenses and… [Continue Reading]

1000 Pearls for a Captura Scene – The Most Boring Grind Ever

I’m going to be honest, the gimmick has worn thin, the fun has faded from the Dog Days event. It’s a really fun little game mode when you’re playing for the main advertized rewards, but when you realise just how much you need to play for the rewards that Nakak is hiding, well, it’s just… not fun. At all. You see, there’s only one map. There’s the same old set of enemies. Nothing changes from round to round apart from other players, if you have them. Sure, you can be somewhat creative with Aero Vantage and set mods (I did… [Continue Reading]

How To Make Kubrows Genuinely Useful

Kubrows in Warframe aren’t particularly useful. They have a very derpy AI that means they rarely manage to attack things, they don’t have the agility Kavats have, being able to jump off walls, the buffs that Kubrows give are far worse than Kavat or Sentinel buffs and frankly, I’m surprised that we can’t give Kubrows guns the same way we can give MOAs guns. The only Kubrow that sees any real use is the Chesa Kubrow, and that’s only because it can do a far weaker version of Nekros’s Desecrate, getting extra loot. So how do we make Kubrows better?… [Continue Reading]

The Actual Speedster Warframe – Does He Threaten Other Speedsters?

I don’t normally talk about Warframes that haven’t been released yet because I like to play them before I judge them. That’s not the case with Gauss, the speedster Warframe. While his best friend Grendel, the oni Warframe who is set to be released at the same time as Gauss, seems pretty cute and not at all deadly, a lot of people have been wondering whether Gauss will be stepping on the toes of existing Warframes, most notably speedster Warframes like Volt, Nezha and Zephyr. The question is, will he be a straight upgrade? Will he leave other Warframes in… [Continue Reading]

Dog Days – A Wet Warframe Tactical Alert

Warframe has a lot of weird things in it. It has flying backpacks that allow you to fly through space, it has pet dogs, cats and robotic birds, you can drive around on skateboards and do all sorts. Also, for some reason, for the next week or so, you can fight Grineer executioners with water pistols in a massive beach water fight. Or, as drunk, gas-inebriated Kela De Thayme calls it, a waddafite. Seriously, when Red Text popped up on a Friday evening talking about everyone’s favourite female Grineer boss being drunk and making puns about water pistols and stuff,… [Continue Reading]

A Brand New Monkey God

I never understood why so many games have to have a Sun Wukong character. If you have a popular game with a multitude of characters to choose from and collect, there’s always some sort of monkey god. Warframe is no exception and they have not one but two Warframes that appeal to more Asian markets – Nezha and Wukong. While I’ve spoken about Nezha before, Wukong kinda sat unused in my arsenal for the longest of times, until his Primed self came out. Through an amazing stroke of luck, I managed to farm all 4 parts in 5 missions (and… [Continue Reading]

A Rounded Warframe Recommendation Collection

There’s a point in Warframe that you are capable of starting to obtain new Warframes but you don’t know which ones to go for or even whether you CAN obtain them. You most likely don’t have that many resources and you certainly don’t have many Warframe slots so you have to be careful which Warframes you work towards. So, because you probably have a limit on how many Warframes you can own, it’s good to focus on one good Warframe for various tasks that you need, from dealing huge damage to stunning enemies to being hard to kill. To help… [Continue Reading]
