More Things You Should NOT Take in Radiation Hazard and Radiation Elemental Enhancement Missions

In light of a recent Radiation Hazard Survival, and since everyone’s doing Sorties today because of the weekly elite challenges for Nightwave, I think it’s worth looking at a bunch of other things you REALLY shouldn’t take into Radiation Hazard and Radiation Elemental Enhancement missions. A quick thing though, there is a difference between Radiation Hazard and Radiation Elemental Enhancement. Radiation Hazard missions spawn big green clouds throughout missions that give you Radiation damage if you walk through them. You can avoid them completely with an Operator’s Void Mode. Radiation Elemental Enhancement means that all enemies have resistance to elemental… [Continue Reading]

Buried Debts – Not A Fun ARG At All

Turns out, there’s a whole Buried Debts ARG (Augmented Reality Game) tied in with the Thermia Fractures event. I mentioned the whole Data Hashes thing briefly in my previous article, but I want to talk about these data hashes specifically. The premise is simple. The players need to find and scan a bunch of data hashes, 14 in total. As you scan them, Eudico and Zuud will start discussing things. The data hashes lead to a secret on the edge of the Orb Vallis. The community needs to band together and scan all of these things to unlock further secrets.… [Continue Reading]

A Daily Grind or a Second Job?

I don’t know if it’s because of the recent updates of Nightwave and Buried Debts, or because I’ve been burnt out, but lately Warframe feels like a real chore to play. There is just so much that needs to be done per log-in that it feels like a second job almost. Normally, the average day would go along the lines of completing a sortie, doing some Syndicate missions and maybe doing some fissures or invasions, depending on what you need. Invasions and fissures are pretty quick to do. How much syndicate stuff you do is tied to how much standing… [Continue Reading]

The Orb Vallis is Probably a Bit Too Hard for Newbies

Fortuna and the Orb Vallis are currently where the action is at. That’s where all the big, new shiny things are right now. Garuda was there, Baruuk and the Profit-Taker Orb are there and now Hildryn, an Operation, a second Orb and a mystery are all out there on the Orb Vallis. But the Orb Vallis is a very hard place to visit if you’re a newbie. The Orb Vallis isn’t hard the way the Plains of Eidolon are. If you’re a newbie visiting the Plains, as long as you stay near the main entrance to Cetus, the enemies remain… [Continue Reading]

Operation Very Slow Mobile Defense

So there is a new Operation out in Warframe. For those who don’t know what an Operation is, it’s basically an event that lasts about a week or so and requires players to do specific tasks. The Razorback Armada and the Balor Fomorian missions for example are old Operations that are brought back occasionally. Other Operations include Plague Star, Ambulas Reborn and the Pacifism Decect. Ghoul Purge is also basically an Operation but that one reappears on a regular basis because weapons are locked behind it. The new Operation, Buried Debts, seems to have arrived in two parts. The first… [Continue Reading]

Little Duck

I don’t like Little Duck. There, I said it. Unpopular opinion but I think she’s not a good character. She’s a bitch, and one who could potentially get a lot of people killed. Normally, I like ducks. Ducks are cute, except when it’s mating season. They sit in water, quacking harmlessly, chasing kids that feed them bread. Rubber ducks are even better. More floating, less being horrific monsters when it comes to breeding. Little Duck though isn’t a duck at all. She works alongside Vox Solaris, helping you defeat the Orb Mothers of the Orb Vallis. Our first introduction to… [Continue Reading]

Even More Grindframe Than Usual

Is it just me or are things a lot more grindy in Warframe lately? More grindy than usual? I say this because a new update, Buried Debts is out and with it comes a new Warframe whose blueprint is locked at at the highest tier of Vox Solaris. Meanwhile, the last Warframe released, Baruuk, also had his components locked away behind Vox Solaris standing. I’ve talked about Syndicates before and how their standing systems work. You basically have your mastery rank, multiplied by a thousand’s worth of points you can earn per day for a Syndicate, after which you can’t… [Continue Reading]

Fun Cheap Weapons to get Cheap Rivens For

Riven Mods can be daunting and scary and people will often say “I just want a riven for the meta weapons! I don’t care about anything else!” That’s certainly true when it comes to trading and trying to make a profit on selling riven mods, and it’s probably true as well when you finally complete that riven challenge, only to get something for a weapon you either don’t like or don’t have. But you shouldn’t be dissuaded. There’s plenty of weapons that can benefit from a riven, even if they’re not the super meta super OP weapons everyone wants. Here’s… [Continue Reading]

Finding Friends and Middle Ground – Gripes with Nightwave

It’s only been a week since Nightwave was released and already there are patterns being made. And with any new thing, there are always gripes and problems and complaints. Nightwave certainly has a few of them and it’s mostly to do with the challenges. The first week’s set of challenges were all pretty easy. Sure, about half my clan didn’t have any filled Ayatan Sculptures so they needed to run around and find some more to fill (that’s where the Ayatan sortie luck comes in handy) but all the challenges were doable for an end-game player. For a lower level… [Continue Reading]

Arbitrations – Easily Forgotten End-Game Content

Arbitrations are missions in Warframe that I would consider as end-game content. To unlock them, you have to finish every single mission on the star chart, many of which are locked behind quests or missions. Sure, you can unlock every node somewhat quickly but you need good gear to do so, or at least someone to carry you. But unlike other end-game content, like Eidolon hunts on Earth and fighting the Orb Mothers on Venus, or even trying to do marathon survival missions, Arbitrations kinda feel… forgotten and not really wanted. The concept of an Arbitration is simple. You have… [Continue Reading]
