Rest in Peace, Gian Point

Well done, Tenno, we have managed to kill an entire node. With the new Railjack update, it seems that Gian Point has been removed. An entire node has been deleted, because people were using it too much. Somehow, despite their numbers, the Grineer are giving up. As of writing, I don’t know if they’re flat out deleting it or not. But wow, this is… an interesting path. “Wait, what IS Gian Point?” Gian Point is (or was) a mission in the Veil Proxima. It’s a Railjack Skirmish mission with a simple task: Destroy enemy ships and crew ships. It has… [Continue Reading]

Playing Anything But A Real Pokemon Game – A Pokemon Clicker Thing?

These days, most people use things like Discord or Steam to chat. If they don’t, they use something like Reddit. Either way, these platforms generally have a rather one-way discussion. Sure, you get threads on Reddit, but the ones you see are heavily curated by everyone else. By default, you only see the most popular threads, and conversations travel in one direction. More importantly though, aside from maybe a profile picture, there’s very little customization. You have one font, images as links and a handful of emoji and that’s it. This is a stark contrast to the old days of… [Continue Reading]

3 Ways K-Drives Could Be More Cool

K-Drives are cool. They’re giant hover boards used by two kinds of future orphan kids. You can do tricks on them and drive-by shootings. Yet, somehow, people don’t seem to use them. Despite being so cool, K-drives don’t see that much use. However, we can easily fix this. All we need are a few tweaks. Here are three easy ways that K-Drives could be made so much cooler. 1. Make them faster K-Drives are fast, but they’re not that fast. They’re never going to beat Archwings when it comes to speed. After all, Archwings can fly over mountains and things… [Continue Reading]

Who Actually Plays Pokemon GO with Sound on?

The other day, I was having a bit of trouble with Pokemon GO. For some reason, it wouldn’t believe I was connected to the internet or had access to GPS. So I decided to reinstall the app on my phone. Of course, doing so reset all my settings. So all the sound effects and music, which I normally have turned off, all turned back on. Damn, this game is loud. Like, really loud. Every single tap of the screen seems to produce a noise. It’s very, very distracting. The sounds also make it super obvious what you are doing. Sure,… [Continue Reading]

The Best Team Rocket Grunt

Team Rocket Grunts come in a bunch of different forms. Generally, they are male or female and have Pokemon based on their type. You can generally guess what Pokemon they’ll have based on the line or pun they spout when you challenge them. When you defeat a grunt, they’ll scurry off and leave one of their Pokemon behind. Grunts seem to change on a regular basis. Well, I say that, the grunts themselves stay the same. No matter what Pokemon they have, they’ll spew the same old puns and one-liners. And they’ll always abandon one of their Pokemon at the… [Continue Reading]

On Catching Dragon Types

Dragon types are super rare in Pokemon GO. Most types of Pokemon have one or two specimens that spawn on a regular basis. In the current Season of Legends, the only noticeably missing type, aside from Dragon, is Dark. Ice types can be rather rare, but Pokemon like Spheal and Swinub do appear occasionally. But aside from that, you can find most of each type. Dragons on the other hand are pretty much always never around. You’ll be lucky to see one a week, unless there’s an event going on. There’s no common dragon type. Every other type has a… [Continue Reading]

Rambling On About A Wrestling Match

I’m not really a fan of wrestling. It’s a bit of silly fun, as far as I’m concerned. The testosterone-fueled equivalent of a soap opera. You’ve got plots, drama and iffy acting, combined with near-naked men fighting each other. Yeah, sure, it’s not really a sport, but it’s entertaining. Just requires a suspension of your disbelief. We do it all the time for movies and video games, and wrestling is no different. Personally, I’m not that into it. I mean, I’ll watch a wrestling match if I’m told that it’s “cool” or “awesome” or something like that. While I wouldn’t… [Continue Reading]

A Moment of Silence for Quake’s Ogre Marksman

I recently wrote an article about a cut weapon from Doom. Today I want to dedicate a similar eulogy for a similarly-redacted element from Doom‘s sequel series, Quake. But first, we need to talk about Ogres. What is an Ogre? Ogres are the most frequently-appearing of the many enemies in Quake. Wielding chainsaws and a grenade launcher, they don’t seem to have much in common with the sort of medieval tropes you’d expect to see. But nevertheless they set the benchmark for enemy damage. The 5 enemies that deal more then the ogre are considered “upper-tier” and a high-priority. While the 7… [Continue Reading]

IKEAFrame in your Ship is a whole different can of worms…

I’ve chatted about IKEAFrame before, but mostly for clan dojos. IKEAFrame is a silly name for all the decorating you can do in your private spaces in Warframe. Clan dojos offer vast amounts of space which you can freely decorate. And by decorate, that means painstakingly placing every single item, one at a time. But then you have to painstakingly fund every single item you place. It can take a long time, but, ideally, dojo decorating only costs time. Everything needs to be paid for using in-game resources. But since you are collecting these over time, the grind isn’t too… [Continue Reading]

The Slowly Increasing Need for More Backpack Space

Right now, I have enough space to hold 1450 Pokemon on my level 42 Pokemon GO account. Also right now, I am using 1430 of those 1450 slots. There’s probably an event coming up, so I’ll need to clear some space. I need to start transferring Pokemon, so I can catch more of them. After all, I can’t keep every Pokemon, right? Well, I’ll try… I don’t like deleting things. I’m a weirdly sentimental person. Even when I am running out of space, I don’t like deleting things or throwing things away. The thought is always “what if this turns… [Continue Reading]
