Is A Proto Skin A Deluxe Skin?

In 2017, Volt got a deluxe skin called Proto Volt. Honestly, I wasn’t that big a fan of it. While most deluxe skins tend to go for a completely different look at a Warframe, the Proto Volt skin is just… Volt. Volt but unfinished. Back then, I wrote an article about it, saying how it was mostly alright. At the end of the article however, I asked whether Proto Skins counted as deluxe skins or not. There were three Proto Skins. Well, four if you include the Glaive skin. When it comes to Warframes though, we had the two Dark… [Continue Reading]

A Ramble on Baking Cakes

I love baking cakes. Something about baking cakes kinda reminds me of, well, science. Not actual, proper science. While yes, there is chemistry involved in baking a cake, it’s not sciency. Sure, I’m taking things and mixing them together, but I’m not really aware of all the chemical reactions going on. Aside from maybe the baking powder reacting and forming pockets of air as it does so. No, baking reminds me of the sort of silly science you’d do as a kid. Just mixing stuff together to see what works. Basically doing my own little experiments. Now, when it comes… [Continue Reading]

The Three Best Void Fissure Missions You Should Always Try to Do

Not gonna lie, I open a lot of relics. To the point that I get low on Axi relics. Void fissures are a great, rather mindless pass time for me. Not only am I getting some sort of loot out of all these relics, but I can also get Forma or occasionally things that sell for a lot of plat. You don’t even need to join pre-made squads, you can often get random gold parts just by chance. That being said, not all Void Fissures are made equally. Some are way better or worse than others. Today, we’re going to… [Continue Reading]

The On Call Crew Command Could be Better

After much grinding, I have finally unlocked Rank 9 Command. This unlocks the On Call ability, allowing me to summon one of my Railjack crew to help me in normal missions. It’s a nice idea to tie in Railjack and normal missions a little bit further. But, honestly, after playing around with it, I find it lacking. First off though, I’m an idiot. Smarter people than I managed to unlock all 9 ranks of the Command Intrinsic almost instantly. On the other hand, I had to grind my way back up from zero. You see, we actually got ALL our… [Continue Reading]

2000 Team Rocket Battles Later…

It’s only been, what, seven months? But after so much grinding, I have finally done it. I have defeated 2000 Team GO Rocket grunts. In doing so, I have earned the Platinum medal. This means I get one extra Pokeball for catching Shadow Pokemon. My 2000th battle was against Arlo. If anything, it wasn’t even impressive. Could have done the fight with my 1499CP Poliwrath, but I couldn’t be bothered. Arlo’s lineup contained the rarely seen Infernape, but ended with Salamence, which would have made the fight a bit tricky for Poliwrath. That being said, I actually defeated all three… [Continue Reading]

Please Calm Down With the Bunnies

Last weekend was Easter. Well, for most people, it was Easter. For me, it’s not Easter until the end of the month, due to Orthodos Christianity being… like that. But for everyone else, it was Easter. So that means everyone else has to have some sort of Easter-themed event. So of course Pokemon GO had an Easter event, even if it’s not specifically called an Easter event. Spring into Spring brought everyone’s favourite Easter-like things. I mean, it’s not a not-Easter-but-still-Easter-related event without eggs and bunnies and stuff, right? The collection thing is back as well, with a bunch of… [Continue Reading]

On… Stuff… So Much Stuff…

The other day, we completely emptied a house. Why we had to empty that house isn’t important. It was full of my family’s old stuff and it all needed to go. Frankly, we had already cleared out most of the house. In one final session, we finished the job, having hired a skip and filled it up. As brother sorted out the last few bits though, I stared at that skip. And all I could think of was “holy shit we had a lot of stuff.” But were did all this stuff come from? Honestly? No idea. My whole family… [Continue Reading]

Finding A Use for a Genderless Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon

Metagross is a cool Pokemon. It’s a massive, stompy steel monster. Not only does it look cool, but it has a badass shiny and even more badass stats. Its only really scary weakness is Ground, with a hint of Fire, Ghost and Dark thrown in. In fact, back when Metagross first came out, it was resistant to Dark as well. No matter how you look at it, Metagross is just all-round awesome. In Pokemon GO, Metagross is a undisputed Steel Type master. With its exclusive move Meteor Mash, Metagross is a great generalist. The only other Steel type that can… [Continue Reading]

The Power of a Ship of AI Crew Mates

When the Railjack Retrofitted update come out, the first thing I did was throw some mods on my Railjack and do one mission. Not wanting to waste time, I just did a quick mission on Earth. Once I had one single Intrinsic, I went and unlocked the Command Intrinsic, then headed to Fortuna. Ticker had a crowd around her, and for good reason. The lovely chap had crew for us to hire. My first choice was obvious. There were a couple of people from each Syndicate, but one stood out to me. A Perrin Sequence guy called Serv Nob. How… [Continue Reading]

A Fancy Yellow Invitation

Rakk Stugg grunted as he slammed his fist into the ever-growing pile of smashed alarm clocks. Much to his annoyance though, the beeping was still playing. After smashing his armoured gauntlet into the crunchy heap a couple more times, Rakk realized that, just maybe, the beeping sound was coming from somewhere else in the small, cramped crewship. Pulling himself out of his old, shitty sleeping pod, Rakk inspected the room, making sure everything was in its old, crappy place. The old Grineer pipes, the rusty wall panels, the clunky, anti-degeneration equipment, it all reminded him of the old days. Before… [Continue Reading]
