I’ve finally made a functional Dragon Follower mod

I’ve finally done it. I’ve made a Dragon Follower mod. Sort of. Kinda. Maybe. Alright, it doesn’t crash my game or eat my save or in any way break anything else in the game. It does kinda screw with the first fight with Alduin, but only because of where I placed my follower dragon. But it works. Hours of tweaking shitty AI packages and trying to figure out Papyrus error messages, and I’ve got five dragons that follow you if you wear their necklaces. And there’s the added bonus that they’re way better than 90% of all dragon follower mods… [Continue Reading]

World on Fire

When you think of a group of elemental powers, you normally think of something like Fire, Water, Earth, Air. Perhaps you think of elemental powers like Light and Shadow. Secondary elements could include things like Lightning and Ice. Warframe though, they’ve got a completely different set of elements, their primary ones composed of Cold, Heat, Toxin and Electricity, and their secondary elements being Viral, Gas, Corrosive, Magnetism, Radiation and Blast. Of course, several Warframes are based on these elements. Volt uses Electricity, Frost uses Cold, the really hard to get Saryn is based around Toxin and Ember, judging by her… [Continue Reading]

Miraak VS Harkon

In Skyrim, there are a lot of enemies, but the majority of them are nameless. The average person could probably name Alduin as a bad guy, but Miraak and Harkon are the other two main bad guys, and you… don’t really see much of them, let alone see them together in one place fighting to the death. But who would win in a fight, Miraak or Harkon? Let’s size our two combatants up first. Miraak is known as the First Dragonborn. He could kill dragons before your Dragonborn’s great, great, great, great, great grandfather was a twinkle in his great,… [Continue Reading]

Our new site, SPUF.org

Oh hi, you made it! Welcome to SPUF.org! This is our (kinda not really any more) website. If you’re seeing this post, you’ve either clicked on it from our old site, blog.spuf.info, or found it the normal way. Really, the only reason this post exists is because of the redirection settings I added to the old site, in order to make sure that all old blog posts on blog.spuf.info are redirected to their counterparts here on SPUF.org. Hope you like it! We’ve got lots of features and have no adverts here!

Damn Bloody Space Kids

I am very angry with Warframe right now. Unbelievably angry. I am sick and tired of these damn bloody space kids. I hate them. They’re horrible. “But Medic!” you ask, “Medic, why the hell are there children in a game about space ninjas?” I don’t fucking know. It’s all to do with the Second Dream and the War Within, finding out that we’re not actually wearing these awesome biomechanical ninja suits of death, oh no, we’re telepathically controlling them from a chair in the back of our ship. Originally though, that wasn’t too bad. The Second Dream kept the space… [Continue Reading]

Sort of Tiny Tweaks to make Saints Row The Third Better

I’ve mentioned Saints Row the Third quite a few times, and every time I have people tell me that Saints Row 2 is better. But I don’t have a PS3 to play SR2 on. That being said, the flaws in SRTT are apparent and I can totally see people being put off by just how over the top Saints Row 3 is compared to its predecessor, especially if you like reality. I’ve been over some of the big things that would easily make Saints Row 3 just as good as Saints Row 2, but after a three hour coop session… [Continue Reading]

Another look at Fashionframe

A while back, I rambled on about Fashionframe, the cosmetic minigame everyone secretly plays as they run around killing things as gaudy space ninjas. And why shouldn’t they? There is so much customization that the only similar-looking frames you see are brand new MR0 players who have just picked up the game, running around in default Excaliburs and Volts. But the thing is, cosmetics can be expensive. Your average standard Syandana (i.e. cape) will cost you between 50 and 100 platinum. Your average colour palette will cost you 75 platinum. Most armour sets cost 100 platinum and those that come… [Continue Reading]

The Third Jack Box Party

It was nearly a year ago that I wrote about a very fun game to play when drunk. Despite the fact that I don’t drink. Now, I’m not really a party person. I don’t get invited out anywhere unless a sibling or cousin invites me, mostly because I hate parties. But here I am, talking about another party game. This time round, it was my sister’s 20th birthday. She wanted everyone to play party games with her. Of course, brother comes along with his library of about twenty billion games, and drags out a game called the Jackbox Party Pack… [Continue Reading]

The College of Winterhold

While fighters and knight-like characters have the Companions, rogues have the Thieves Guild and assassins have the Dark Brotherhood, mages have the College of Winterhold as their place to practice magic and other silly things. It’s a great place to do potentially really, really dangerous things. Unfortunately, it’s not exactly… impressive. Quick warning, spoilers ahead, but you knew that. The College of Winterhold is located in Winterhold, obviously. Really, it’s the only thing IN Winterhold, apart from a couple of houses. Considering that it’s the only thing that’s intact in the small, formerly busy town, there’s a lot of suspicion… [Continue Reading]

Not Really Second Life

Second Life is an ancient thing. I remember seeing adverts for it when I first joined the internet on my own in 2007, advertising that you can live out your fantasies because it’s your second life, completely separate from your first (i.e. real) life. Turns out, it was created all the way back in 2003, and it still has one million active users. Where those active users are, I have no idea. I know that aabicus is not an active member, he only really went there for educational reasons, and will one day write an epic article about his adventures.… [Continue Reading]
