Shadow Raids in Pokemon GO

A Beldum shadow raid

To finish off Season 10: Rising Heroes, Pokemon GO now has Shadow Raids, where you can encounter Shadow Pokemon outside of Team Rocket pokestops and balloons. So are these raids any good? Or is it better to save your raid passes? There’s certainly a few decent raids to do. 1-star and 3-star raids There are currently three types of Shadow Raid. We have 1-star raids which include Bellsprout, Poliwag and Beldum. These 1-star raids work exactly the same as normal raids, except Team GO Rocket have covered everything with their R logo. You don’t need to do anything special for… [Continue Reading]

On Constantly Running Out of Pokemon Storage

Your Pokemon Storage is full

In order to play Pokemon GO, you need plenty of Pokemon storage. Even if you play very conservatively, you will eventually run out of Pokemon storage at some point or another. The base amount of storage simply isn’t enough for anything really, and almost every player will run into that same old message, telling you that your storage is full. Once your storage is full, there’s only two things you can do. The first is to go into your inventory and start transferring Pokemon, until you’re back under your limit. Amusingly, this popup can even happen when you’re one off… [Continue Reading]

Fortuna 69 is back!

Fortuna 69 with Volt and the Sign Nezha

Well who would expect this? After over a year of not existing, Fortuna 69 is back! Somehow, in the most recent few hotfixes, as of May 26th, Fortuna 69 is accessible once again, and the same community have returned to make sure it stays open. What is Fortuna 69 though? Well, it’s quite a story. When Fortuna released, there were so many people playing that we had hundreds of instances, mini-servers filled with players. As the Fortuna hype slowly died down, many of these instances disappeared as players dwindled. However, in instance 69, players worked together to keep Fortuna 69… [Continue Reading]

How I’d Fix Raids in Pokemon GO

AAHHH! Big bad scary Mega Pokemon!

Raids in Pokemon GO have always been a bit problematic. Between the lack of great Pokemon, needing enough people to do a raid and having to forgo normal raids to do legendary raids due to a lack of people or raid passes, these raids can often be quite awkward. One of the much bigger problems is getting enough players to even do a raid in the first place. However, I have some ideas that might help smooth things out. Make them scale My first idea is that raid bosses should scale to the number of players in the lobby. You… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Archguns in Warframe

The Mausolon

Sometimes in Warframe, a normal gun just isn’t big enough. Sure our weapons can do vast amounts of damage and kill huge swathes of enemies, but sometimes you just need something massive. A gun so large that you have to add an anti-gravity component so you can use it. Sometimes you need an Archgun. Archguns are great. Originally appearing in Archwing missions, Archguns are massive, mostly two-handed weapons that can only be used in space because they are so heavy and powerful. Over the years though, we’ve been able to use Archguns more often, either via our Necramechs or by… [Continue Reading]

Amesha – The Only Archwing You’ll Ever Need

Trinity with Archwing in a vague Mercy look.

Warframe really has a little bit of everything in it. We’ve got journeys to the Void, our own private ships and landing crafts, and  we even have our own space ship, the Railjack, with which we can do missions in space. But before Railjack, we did still have something of our own that we can fly with. Archwings and Archwing content aren’t that amazing, but they are vital to both Railjack, open worlds and they even have their own mission types. But despite there being five different Archwings (four plus one prime), you’ll only ever need one. And no, it… [Continue Reading]

Fennekin Community Day

Shiny Fennekin

It’s that time of year where we get another starter Pokemon for a Community Day. Fennekin is a cute little fiery starter, and the 21st was a chance to catch a huge number of them. However, we’ve had a lot of fire starter community days, so does Fennekin’s community day stand out? Was it any good? It’s alright. The community day had some nice features. Double candy and double stardust were nice bonuses, but for us, the weather wasn’t amazing. We had a few scattered showers, and the clouds were threatening to rain on us. We actually decided to walk… [Continue Reading]

Another Look At Daily Incense

Daily Incense

It’s been a while since Daily Incense was added to Pokemon GO, but I think it’s worth looking at it again. After all, it’s a free incense that you get given every day, and it can give some interesting Pokemon. But is the Daily Incense worth it? Some extra spawns If you live somewhere rural, the Daily Incense is definitely worth using. It’s a guaranteed bunch of Pokemon for you to catch as you walk. You have to walk, otherwise you’ll get one spawn and that’s basically it. But the walking requirement isn’t too bad, as long as you are… [Continue Reading]

Why Can’t I Get Into Destiny 2?

My ship in Destiny 2

As of writing, the Guardian Games are happening in Destiny 2, and my brother said I should give it a go again. So I grabbed my Warlock and decided to jump in and do a few strikes, take a look around, things like that. I managed to grab the new Guardian Games weapons, and one of them does Strand damage, which is interesting. I had some fun playing the couple of strikes we did, but after that, I was content and put the game down again. When will I next play Destiny 2? Will I play Destiny 2 on my… [Continue Reading]

What To Do With A Master Ball in Pokemon GO?

Master Ball

Pokemon GO has finally decided to give us a Master Ball, tied to the Let’s GO special research that Professor Willow has been hinting at all season. The Master Ball is a Pokeball that never misses and has a 100% chance to catch whatever Pokemon it is thrown at. However, the Master Ball has been hidden in the game code for a very long time, almost as far back as Pokemon GO’s beginnings. After all these years, we will finally be getting the most powerful Pokeball. But there’s a few things to think about here. After all, Master Balls are… [Continue Reading]
