Vector Artwork Is Awesome

You see that Daily SPUF logo up there? The one in the top corner of your current tab? The little black sticky bomb? The favicon? That there is a small PNG file. If I wanted to make that bigger, it would go all pixel-y and horrible. Of course, that little sticky bomb is a smaller version of the somewhat official Daily SPUF logo (which is honestly just the Lobster font and the sticky bomb from the Demoman’s class emblem) and I have a full-sized logo somewhere, but if I just made that favicon bigger, it would look bad. Ah, I… [Continue Reading]

Burgers, Meatballs and Other Lumps of Meat

As I was writing this the other day, I had burgers cooking in the oven. I made them a bit too thick and wanted to make sure they were completely cooked all the way through, because I used pork mince rather than beef mince. The smell is pretty nice but somewhat overpowered by a BBQ sauce I made because I’m going to cook BBQ chicken drumsticks tomorrow. But as I was making the burgers, a simple thought wandered into my mind: “Oh my god, this is actually really easy.” And the more I think about it, the more I think… [Continue Reading]

On Bread and Butter Pudding

Bread and Butter Pudding is weird. It’s bread and butter and milk and eggs and sugar. But it’s… it’s so tasty. And probably really bad for you. Bread Pudding is the same thing. But bread and butter pudding and bread pudding are kinda two different puddings. Not the same thing. But I made some bread and butter pudding and I just want to share how simple this is. Simple Bread and Butter Pudding Ingredients: Small loaf of white bread Butter, softened 2-3 eggs A bunch of sugar A bottle of milk Some sort of thing to sprinkle though the pudding,… [Continue Reading]

A Day Off

Every year, some time during November and generally before any “black Friday” sales or anything like that, I’ll take a day off and spend a small fortune buying gifts for my family. Since I’ve been able to drive, it’s been a bit of a tradition for me, as I have the freedom to actually go out and buy gifts. Every year, I look forward to this one day off of my choosing, and every year I both enjoy it and end up with a sore foot or something because I trip over or have done too much walking. This year… [Continue Reading]

Youtube Annoyances

Youtube has been annoying me lately. I mean, it’s always annoying but it’s literally the biggest video site around so there’s not much you can do about it aside from complaining. But there’s been this shift of changes big and small that are bothering me, not as a content creator but as a viewer. Because content creation and Youtube are a whole different kettle of fish. Mostly this has to do with subscriptions and recommendations. You know that list of subscriptions on the side of Youtube? Well that little bar constantly misbehaves. I swear the channels randomly change order and… [Continue Reading]

The 38 Cent Bar of ‘Chocolate’

When I popped to the shops the other day to buy mayonnaise and some drinks, I spotted piles and piles of these bars of chocolate, in all sorts of different flavours. The shop I had gone to was one of those shops where they also bought old stock and sold it off for cheap, which meant I could get non-perishables, food that takes years to go off and drinks for pretty cheap. They also bought and sold stock that hadn’t sold elsewhere, and that was where these piles of chocolate came in. For a mere €0.38, I could get 90… [Continue Reading]

The State of Minecraft Nude Skins in 2019

Minecraft has remained the best-selling game of all time for the last 8 years it’s been released, and it doesn’t look ready to relinquish that title any time soon. As a deceptively-simple survival game with a LEGO-esque building mechanic, it’s instantly understandable to players of any skill level and it works equally well in PvP, PvE and RP, not to mention multiplayer. But it’s always had something of an unusual relationship with nude mods. On one hand, its blocky artstyle and 64-pixel textures make it almost impossible for a player character to look sexy. The only real reason you’d install… [Continue Reading]

Inktober 2019

Inktober is a challenge where you draw an item a day, generally following a list of prompts and using some sort of ink. 2019 is the third year I’ve done this and, aside from a couple of pics, I’m actually pretty happy with what I’ve drawn. A quick heads up, there are some bare breasts in here, because breasts are surprisingly fun to draw. Here’s all thirty one images, the stuff I drew for Inktober. Day 1 – Falena Falena are a weird amphibious race, part whale, part frog, part other things. This is the race that Epani sometimes appears… [Continue Reading]

A Fortnight in Minecraft

Many many years ago I wrote a Second Life Journal. Now I have a “First Life Journal”; my first life in Minecraft, that is. Yeah, I’d actually never played Minecraft until now. I owned it (got it for free as part of my work on the Will Wright MasterClass) but I’d never seen a reason to play the actual game until I found myself craving a super simplistic survival game with an easily-installable nude mod. ElRiatas’ Diary (I’m legit not sure where the game found that character name. Was it procedurally-generated?) Day 1: I spawned deep in the jungle and… [Continue Reading]

Thoughts on the Joker Movie

I went to see Joker at the cinema the other night, after not really seen any movies for a while, and frankly, it was worth the trip. The cinema was packed but everyone was pretty quiet throughout the whole movie. Understandably because Joker was a genuinely really good movie. The plot was great. The acting was great. The music was great. The cinematography was outstanding, with some really amazing and beautiful shots. This is a well-crafted world, even if it is anachronistic at times, with believable characters and scenarios. You can see this horrible transformation from a hollow soul clinging… [Continue Reading]
