That Weird Loading Screen Pose in Warframe

The weird end of mission pose with your Warframe

Something has been bothering me, ever since I got back into Warframe. Part of the reason I stopped playing was because the game just wouldn’t load into missions. But now I am actually able to do missions and all that, I’m reminded of the end of mission loading screen. There’s something wrong with it, and I very much dislike it. It’s an awkward pose I don’t know what this pose is supposed to be. It’s kinda like an action pose, but my Warframe (Styanax in this case) is all hunched over. He doesn’t look relaxed at all, despite the mission… [Continue Reading]

Happy Holidays 2022!

medic christmas

Wait, what? It’s December? And it’s the 25th? Christmas Day? What the hell happened? Where did December go? How did we get here? No, seriously, I swear that December has flown by. Maybe it’s because this Christmas is rather different compared to previous Christmases. Lots of different things going on. For me, it’s the first time I’m spending Christmas away from family, and everything is a little bit exciting and definitely very different. But yeah, it’s Christmas Day and things are nice and calm right now. It’s not snowing, but it never does when you’re on the coast. It’s only… [Continue Reading]

Purified Pokemon Still Kinda Suck

Pokemon I purified to get to 100%

It’s been a long time since shadow Pokemon were buffed, but at the same time, purified Pokemon have remained as they are, with almost no changes. We’ve reached a point that purified Pokemon are pretty much forgotten. But are there any real redeeming qualities to purified Pokemon? Or should we leave our shadow Pokemon as they are? The lowered stardust and candy costs are not that enticing When you purify a Pokemon, it becomes cheaper to power up, both with candy and stardust. There’s also a reduced cost when it comes to evolving a purified Pokemon as well. This stacks… [Continue Reading]

Styanax and A Hint of Nostalgia

Styanax fighting a stone golem

Styanax is the 50th Warframe, and, as part of the 50th Warframe celebration, was given out for free, meaning a lot of people already own him. If you missed the celebration, then Styanax’s components are sold by Chipper, in Karl’s camp. Styanax’s design resembles that of ancient Spartans, carrying a shield and spear. And personally, I think he’s quite an interesting, yet somewhat simple, Warframe. I’m also pretty amazed that we’re at 50 Warframes now. Well, 51 at the time of writing. He’s cool. The 50th Warframe is a pretty neat one. Its abilities involve throwing spears, throwing shields and… [Continue Reading]

Elite Raids in Pokemon GO

Hoopa and portal rings

Back before the pandemic, Pokemon GO used to have a system called EX Raids. Every month or so, players who spun certain gyms (called EX gyms) would be given a black raid pass, with a date and time printed on it. On the day, a raid would appear, and only people with EX Passes could do the raid. The raid boss was always something rare, like a Mewtwo with Shadow Ball. However, this system was scrapped, and for a while, we didn’t really have anything to replace them. Now, a couple of years later, we got a new system, called… [Continue Reading]

In Which aabicus Writes Nude Articles

While aabicus has written over 600 articles for the Daily SPUF, he has also done something very interesting. Over the years, aabicus has managed to get consistent views on the many articles he has written about nudity in video games. Nothing sexual, just nude. Nude Male Mods We’ll start off this article, as I also included it in the previous article showcasing aabicus’s hard work. Finding male nude mods is actually genuinely challenging. While a female character can get away with just a line, male characters need to deal with jiggle physics and additional models. After all, there’s a dick… [Continue Reading]

Voruna, a Wolf-inspired Warframe

Volruna standing proud and tall, ready to kill

Voruna, the 51st Warframe, is here and she’s really packing a punch. This wolf-themed Warframe looks both awesome and slightly scary, with four heads adorned to her body. The Heart of the Pack is a monster capable of taking multiple roles, from stealth to damage dealing to status-spreading. Each head specializes in different strengths – one sneaks in the shadows, while another protects you and dies in your place. But is this Warframe any good? I’d say yes. Voruna is pretty neat. She is quite fun to play. Her abilities are all tied up in the wolf heads connected to… [Continue Reading]

December Community Weekend was Nice

Shiny Pokemon caught during the event

…..On December 17th and 18th 2022, we had a final community day event in Pokemon GO. As is tradition, at the end of the year, all the Pokemon from this year’s community days all come back for one final hurrah, before going away again. This years community day Pokemon were a mixed bag, but the weekend made up for it. Well, day 2 did. Day 1 had all the Pokemon that no one really wanted. Teddiursa, Hopip, the two Sandshrews and Geodude. Day 2 had the likes of Litwick, Deino and Galarian Zigzagoon. On day 1, I only played a… [Continue Reading]

Oh Bullet Jumping, How Much I’ve Missed You

Volt with the Shocking Step Ephemera

I’ve recently gotten back into Warframe, and I’ve been having fun. Even if Lua’s Prey was a weak update, it’s been nice just doing missions and Nightwave. But what really makes me feel at home in Warframe is the mobility. I have really, really missed how you move around in Warframe. Seriously, Warframe’s parkour is pretty damn cool. Most games will just go with a single jump, maybe a double jump. Warframe has both, AND the bullet jump, a magical spiral through the air in whatever direction you are facing. With a series of slides and bullet jumps, leaping past… [Continue Reading]

What’s Wrong with Niantic’s Pricing Lately?

Keldeo quest

Something is going on at Niantic HQ. For the last few months, they have been doing weird experiments with things in the shop. We’ve had new boxes come and leave the store, with weird contents in all their boxes. Originally, boxes in Pokemon GO tended to do several things. One would be dedicated to hatching eggs, the other gives gear for raids. Then there would be a smaller box with a mixture of both. The smaller box would cost around 400 coins, which was often an alright deal. However, we’ve recently seen some very weird boxes in the shop, including… [Continue Reading]
