More Berries too, Please

The other day, I talked about Pokeballs and how we have very few of them in-game. But the same actually applies to berries too. In the main games, there are tons of berries. A LOT of berries. There are berries for almost everything. They can heal Pokemon, they can remove status effects like confusion and sleepiness, they can buff a Pokemon’s next attack AND they can improve the EVs of Pokemon. That’s a huge amount of things. Meanwhile, Pokemon GO only has 6 berries. Or 5 if you don’t count a Poffin as a berry. Surely we could take some… [Continue Reading]

DeMarco – The Lost Son of the so-called Pirate Lord

I don’t normally dig too deep into  Sea of Thieves lore. The reason I’m even on the Sea of Thieves is because of treasure and guilt-free murder. But there is some background lore going on, and as we rush into season 8, things are really heating up. So, in order to keep up, I’ve been kinda looking at the lore and, well, it’s kinda sad. The basic premise of the Sea of Thieves is that a guy called Ramsey called himself the Pirate Lord, and he uses some artifacts to keep the Sea of Thieves separate from both the rest… [Continue Reading]

The Flow of Writing

Writing, at least, good writing, has a flow to it. A journey of words that twist around and trickle down, starting as a stream and slowly becoming a mighty river. Actually writing, creating your own words, stories and articles, is just like another river, one that also ebbs and flows. This river decides whether you continue downstream or if you get caught on some piece of junk that won’t ever biodegrade. I’ll be honest with you all. What I just wrote was a load of utter bollocks. There was no real flow, it made little sense and frankly my similies… [Continue Reading]

An Announcement on Adverts

A while back, I got an email that I normally see on the regular. Lots of companies have sent me messages, saying they can get me to rank 1 of Google and make money with adverts and guest posts. Normally, I don’t do too much for these emails. They seem copied and pasted over and over, especially the guest post emails. However, occasionally, if I see an email that doesn’t look too suspicious, I’ll send them an email back, asking what guest posts they want or what services they offer. I rarely get a response from any of these. One… [Continue Reading]

Cookies: Hard to Get Right

I love baking, and one of my favourite things I like to bake are cookies. After all, a cookie cooks a lot quicker than other types of cake and dessert, and you can bake lots of them in one go. But there is a science with cookies, and how to make the sort of cookie you want. Turns out, it’s hard to bake a cookie that matches or betters store-baked stuff. Okay, sure, there are many types of cookie. In this article, I’m more looking at the big, gooey American cookies, often with chocolate chips and occasionally M&Ms, nuts and… [Continue Reading]

You Can’t Always Win in Video Games

The other day, the Sea of Thieves was particularly treacherous. Every ship we came across was jittery and aggressive, and loot and resources were pretty sparse. It seemed that pretty much everyone was out for blood, when we just wanted to battle a skelly fort. We hadn’t done much actual killing intentionally. Most of our attacks were self defense, and people getting too close to our skelly fort and the Ashen Lord on it. Well, there was one other ship that wanted to attack us, then turned around and started running. We just chased after them, slowly catching up until… [Continue Reading]

Cats and Health

Cats are strange creatures. We treasure them as pets, but, unlike dogs, cats are very aloof and mostly do as they please. It’s easy to annoy a cat and make it attack you, and cats often scratch and bite when they are angry. People have to be careful of cats, especially wild ones, as they may carry diseases. However, despite all of this, cats can actually be good for your health. It turns out that a cat can be a great companion for someone who is feeling down or lonely. While a cat can’t make you feel positive thoughts, it… [Continue Reading]

Why I Don’t Consider Myself a Gamer

The term “gamer” can mean all sorts of things. Generally the term just means someone who plays a lot of video games, but there are also plenty of gamer stereotypes out there, dependent on many different things, such as consoles, handheld games, mobile games, and so on. However, I’ve never really considered myself a gamer. I’m just a person who plays video games occasionally. Am I really a gamer though? Or am I something else? I’m not very good at video games Seriously. As someone who has been playing video games for years, I’m shit at most of them. Parkour… [Continue Reading]

A War Over A New Gym

In Cyprus, there’s not really much going on between Pokemon GO’s three teams, Valor, Mystic and Instinct. It’s not too difficult to get your 50 coins a day, and contests over gyms only really happened before raids, so you get extra Pokeballs when catching your Legendary Pokemon. But normally, the use of gyms where I live isn’t hectic. And the few places that are hectic, they’re always in the tourist areas. However, not every Gym is that peaceful or quiet. Especially the one down the road. A new gym? So, recently, I moved house. I moved from one side of… [Continue Reading]

Little Things I’d Like To See Fixed or Changed in Warframe

One of the nice things about Warframe is that every update is free, and so are all the bugs and glitches and stuff. However, these things are quickly patched up in hotfixes. However, there are tons of tiny little things that can sit unfixed for a long, long time. Sometimes, they’re not really actually broken, they’re just… not very good. They’re little things I’d like to see fixed or changed. Blast Procs Blast used to be my favourite damage type. It was amazing, because it could ragdoll enemies and send them flying. Blast is the reason I kept the Sonicor… [Continue Reading]
