On Both Liking and Hating Limbo

Because of Scarlet Spear,  I ended up playing a lot of Limbo. It wasn’t because I particularly wanted to, but Limbo was just the best choice. My other options involved playing Mesa or being a buffer for more damage. While all these roles are useful, I always ended up playing Limbo simply because no one else really wanted to. Why? Because most people don’t like Limbo. Myself included. I never particularly enjoyed Limbo, and my main original reasoning was that I didn’t like not rolling. That still applies today. I use rolls to keep my momentum going, especially after long… [Continue Reading]

The Cheese Limbo Build for Scarlet Spear I Wish I’d Found Earlier

By the time this article is published, Scarlet Spear will be over. It was a long, drawn out event, but what took hours in the beginning was quickly reduced to pretty simple strategy. I went from needing an hour or more to do 17 Condrix to being able to do it with a half-decent team of randoms in about 25 minutes. I ran into a lot of nice players and now have more people to regularly play with. But my secret is that I found a good build that could potentially carry any Condrix mission. What about Murex though? No,… [Continue Reading]

On Soloing Murex and Condrix

If you follow the SPUF of Legend, you may have seen that there was a sudden burst of activity. After a long drought, I managed to upload a bunch of videos, all about Scarlet Spear. While two of them were showcasing the new cinematic and the new simulacrum, two of them were about soloing the Scarlet Spear missions. Let’s talk about that. Now, I’ve already spoken about soloing these missions and how it’s not worth doing. Despite being somewhat easy, the missions are long and tedious. Playing them solo, as I mentioned in my previous article, makes the missions even… [Continue Reading]

Why Operation Scarlet Spear is Bad

From my point of view, Operation Scarlet Spear isn’t very good. I’m not going to claim that it’s the worst thing ever, because that’s not true at all. But there are a number of problems that need to be talked about. And rather than getting all angry about everything, I’m going to go through each of these problems one by one. Like I said before though, I’m not going to mention bugs. Bugs can be fixed. There are fundamental flaws with this event though, and those can’t be fixed. The Lore is all wrong Firstly, the lore is all wrong.… [Continue Reading]

What The Fuck is Warframe’s Lore Anyway? – New War Lore

Last time I sat down and chatted about Warframe lore, we stopped at the end of the Sacrifice quest. That was… a while ago. But rather than go through all that old lore again, I’ve decided to just skip ahead and start talking about the lore for the New War, which is supposedly the next big thing. So sit down and strap yourselves in because we’ve got quite a bit of stuff to talk about. A warning before I start: This article CONTAINS SPOILERS. It is discussing a huge amount of newer lore, which newer players might not be able… [Continue Reading]

Operation Scarlet Spear is Absolutely Pointless Solo

There’s a LOT of problems with Operation Scarlet Spear, which I’ll get to in time. But for me, right now, the biggest issue is that these missions are arbitrarily harder if you do them solo. You are forced to join a team if you want decent rewards or if you want, well, efficiency. There’s no way around it. Is solo doable? Definitely. In fact, solo is perfectly doable. With just a Limbo, you can make the Railjack mission simple as heck. The ground mission requires nothing more than a Sarpa to get rid of the Condix’s armour. I managed to… [Continue Reading]

Operation Scarlet Spear – A Simple Event With An Awful Grind

After a promise of “early March”, Operation Scarlet Spear has arrived, alongside a bunch of other changes. The other changes are numerous, mostly bug fixes, as well as a Nova skin and some augments. But the Operation is… something else. And not in a good way. For starters, it’s buggy. This is basically guaranteed for every new event that comes out these days. Scarlet Spear is no different. It’s full of crashes. Okay, sure, a lot of this is being fixed as we go along, but it’s a pain in the ass. Between people crashing and the bugs, not much… [Continue Reading]
