On Playing As The Devil Himself

I’ve been out of the loop when it comes to Team Fortress 2 for a while, so I don’t really know if Engineer is still considered evil and hated and all of that. From what I’ve seen, it’s still Pyro and Sniper who people seem to hate, for various reasons. Engineer though is a bit more complicated, both in how loved and hated he can be and why. But I have a bit of a secret that I’ve been hiding for ages: I’ve… always technically been a bit of an Engineer main. “But wait! You’re MEDIC! Not Engineer!” Yeah, I… [Continue Reading]

Things the Scarlet Spear Operation Probably Needs

Operation Scarlet Spear has left an awful taste in people’s mouths. Despite being a long-wanted event, the amount of grind, the bugs and the all-round confusion have made the operation a pain in the butt. People aren’t enjoying the missions at all. But while bugs and the like will be fixed eventually, here are a few… quality of life features I think this operation needs. Better Reward Scaling on Ground Missions No matter how you look at it, it’s better to do Murex if you want credits. While Murex are slower missions, they are somewhat easier to cheese and give… [Continue Reading]

Operation Scarlet Spear is Absolutely Pointless Solo

There’s a LOT of problems with Operation Scarlet Spear, which I’ll get to in time. But for me, right now, the biggest issue is that these missions are arbitrarily harder if you do them solo. You are forced to join a team if you want decent rewards or if you want, well, efficiency. There’s no way around it. Is solo doable? Definitely. In fact, solo is perfectly doable. With just a Limbo, you can make the Railjack mission simple as heck. The ground mission requires nothing more than a Sarpa to get rid of the Condix’s armour. I managed to… [Continue Reading]

On Being A Dungeon Master

So, after a long, long time of just being a basic player, I finally got the chance to be a dungeon master and run my own little campaign. I played with my normal group of players and we did a couple of small sessions, all loosely based on the world of Skyrim. And it was a HUGE amount of fun! To the point that I’m a little bit too excited to do it again. It really is like herding cats though. Well, in my case, it was literally herding cats. I’m leading a group of definitely not Khajiit through various… [Continue Reading]

The Troubles With Running Out of Things To Level Up

It’s pretty easy to get to MR16 in Warframe. The journey is a long, grindy one, but it’s mostly simple. You farm for materials, you build weapons and warframes, you sell them and build more. Rinse and repeat. At low MRs, there is so much to grab that you get overwhelmed, but as you get into the swing of things, it gets so much easier. When you get to the high 20’s though? Things change. You start running out of items. By items, I mean easy items to level up. Ideally, if you’re going for efficiency, your best bet is… [Continue Reading]

More Pokemon Go COVID-19 Changes and Cancellations

It sounds silly, but I was SO RELIEVED when I discovered that the Lugia raid event had been cancelled. The place where I live is now going to be locked down outside of essential travel. That means I can’t go out and play Pokemon Go at all. Not even isolated walks on my own at the dead of night. So gathering for raids would be out of the question. What else is out of the question? Well, most events are gone for now. But we all kinda already knew that. Whether we like it or not, we can’t all be… [Continue Reading]

Operation Scarlet Spear – A Simple Event With An Awful Grind

After a promise of “early March”, Operation Scarlet Spear has arrived, alongside a bunch of other changes. The other changes are numerous, mostly bug fixes, as well as a Nova skin and some augments. But the Operation is… something else. And not in a good way. For starters, it’s buggy. This is basically guaranteed for every new event that comes out these days. Scarlet Spear is no different. It’s full of crashes. Okay, sure, a lot of this is being fixed as we go along, but it’s a pain in the ass. Between people crashing and the bugs, not much… [Continue Reading]

5 Ways to Stat Out Your Lucario

Poor unloved Conkledurr. Before it came out, the pitiable pillar Pokemon was destined to rise to the top of everyone’s list and finally unseat Machamp, the perennial king of Fighting types. With strictly better IVs and the exact same ideal movepool, there was seemingly nothing that could stand in its way… until Niantic randomly granted Aura Sphere to Lucario with unexpectedly ridiculous numbers. Even after a slight nerf, Aura Sphere is so insanely powerful that it singlehandedly made up for Lucario’s unremarkable stats. This makes him the best Fighting type available. Poor Conky found himself out of the ring before… [Continue Reading]

Things You Can Do While Playing Pokemon Go Indoors and Not Going Outside

The main gimmick of Pokemon Go is that you’re supposed to go outside and walk around and explore your surroundings. Outside is where the Pokemon all are, so you have to go catch them! Unfortunately, that doesn’t work too well when you’re supposed to be locked up indoors. Does this mean you can’t play Pokemon Go at all? Of course not! You just have to be creative. And maybe do some slightly different Pokemon things when you get bored. Here’s some silly suggestions and alternatives to playing Pokemon Go. Use an Incense. Incenses right now are incredibly useful. They last… [Continue Reading]

Genesect Special Research

Normally I wouldn’t spend €8.99 on a single thing in Pokemon Go. I’m actually pretty tight and will only spend a tenner or so every couple of months for raids. But considering how all EX-raids are cancelled for the time being and my local community is struggling to get enough players for EX-raids anyway? I probably won’t ever be able to ever GET a Genesect for a long, long time. So I bought the premium research, A Drive To Investigate. So A Drive to Investigate does the same thing that most previous Special Research does. You do a bunch of… [Continue Reading]
