Thank you, wheat and seeds.

Every time I enter a new world, I’ll do two things. I’ll punch trees for wood, and I’ll punch grass for seeds. In most cases, I will try to gather at least 30 seeds by the first night. After a few days, these will produce enough wheat to keep a couple of bellies full with consistent harvesting and replanting. In my latest Realm world, my friends and I spawned in the middle of a tundra. Considering the frozen wasteland around us, we just couldn’t be bothered with wheat farming. I ran off to the nearby taiga and found a bunch… [Continue Reading]

The Cheese Limbo Build for Scarlet Spear I Wish I’d Found Earlier

By the time this article is published, Scarlet Spear will be over. It was a long, drawn out event, but what took hours in the beginning was quickly reduced to pretty simple strategy. I went from needing an hour or more to do 17 Condrix to being able to do it with a half-decent team of randoms in about 25 minutes. I ran into a lot of nice players and now have more people to regularly play with. But my secret is that I found a good build that could potentially carry any Condrix mission. What about Murex though? No,… [Continue Reading]

Amplified Minecraft, Session 1

I have always wanted to do an Amplified Minecraft run. However, my laptop has never been powerful enough to support it. That changed when I found out about Optifine. Optifine managed to allow me to play in Amplified with somewhat bearable graphics, as opposed to before where I can’t play Amplified even with bare minimum graphics. So today, I started my first proper Amped Minecraft run. I spawned in a taiga, chopped down a few spruce trees and gathered as much sweet berries as I can find. I then wandered off to look for a good place to set up… [Continue Reading]

After 50ish GBL Fights, the Pokemon GO GBL still sucks

After getting a perfect shiny Mewtwo, I realised that something was missing. My Mewtwo needed a second move. And what other move could I give it other than Shadow Ball? To do so though, I would need an Elite TM. But the problem is, aside from potentially buying one with actual money via an event… I’d have to play PvP. That meant wading back into the GBL. And getting to rank 7. That meant a lot of work. If I wanted an Elite TM, I had to earn it. Now, frankly, my first few games in GBL didn’t go great.… [Continue Reading]

Abra Community Day – Probably One of the Better Days Yet

Gonna be honest, the Abra Community Day was great! Unlike many other community days, I feel like this one actually stands out! Lots of Abra, lots of chances to play even if you don’t get local spawns, and lots of shinies! They even made Abra easier to catch during the event. This event was great, and I want to talk about it. This was probably one of the most accessible Community Days yet. Normally, for a good community day, you need a place with good spawns and plenty of Pokestops. You need as many Pokeballs as you can get your… [Continue Reading]

A Worry About Remote Raid Passes

For obvious reasons, Niantic have had to make a lot of changes to Pokemon Go to ensure that people keep on playing and keep on spending money. Changes so far have included not needing to walk to enter the GBL, Incenses lasting 1 hour and reduced egg distances. A lot of these changes are beneficial, but some are questionable and some make no sense. After all, doubling gym range is only useful if you live near a gym. The most worrying thing though is the appearance of Remote Raid Passes. Now, firstly, this is speculation We’ve been given some information… [Continue Reading]

Bionicle: Quest for Mata Nui – An Amazing Fan-Made Bionicle Game in the Works

I’ve always loved Bionicle, and frankly, without it, I probably wouldn’t be here today. My obsession with the mysterious LEGO brand jump-started my interest in, well, the internet. Because of Bionicle, I eventually started going online to do more than look for pictures and maybe use MySpace. Basically Bionicle was my entire teenage upbringing. And Bionicle had its fingers in a multitude of places. While the movies were mostly straight to video or DVD, we had not just LEGO toys, but so much more. Graphic novels, comics, collectible CDs, McDonalds toys, all done very well. The game side of Bionicle… [Continue Reading]

How Would Corpus Kuva Liches Even Work?

As with everything in Warframe, we always get a Grineer version of a thing first, followed by a Corpus version. This has been the case for ages. For example, we got the Plains of Eidolon, which is Grineer, then later on we got Fortuna, which is Corpus. The same will happen with Railjack and, eventually, Kuva Liches. But how would Corpus Liches even work? At first, this seems like an easy question to answer. You just have randomly generated Corpus enemies, the same way you do for Grineer Liches. The process would be similar too. You have your Parazon, you… [Continue Reading]

The Death of the Blast Proc on Warframe Weapons

Blast was always my favourite element in Warframe. While Corrosive, Viral and Gas were all more useful, Blast was the most fun element. It was great. You’d mix it with Corrosive to stun enemies and knock them down. In the distance past, it could be mixed with weapons like the Sonicor for ragdoll fun. But with the Warframe Revised update, Blast was utterly destroyed. The Blast Proc is dead. The current Blast Proc is bad. Now, instead of knocking enemies down, Blast damage now decreases enemy accuracy. And it doesn’t even do a very good job of it. One Blast… [Continue Reading]

Is Warframe Dying? Yes, No, Maybe?

Simply put, Warframe’s most recent update, Scarlet Spear, was NOT well received. In fact, most players have somewhat disliked it! Even I, someone who tolerates a lot of things, found the update to be mostly bad. Bad enough to write a couple of unhappy articles about it. But the problems with Scarlet Spear bring another question. Is Warframe dying? Is it slowly declining? To be honest, I’m not sure. You an answer that question in a lot of ways. Is Warframe itself dying? Well, no. Not really. While things look pretty bad, especially from a normal player’s outlook, I won’t… [Continue Reading]
