Thoughts on Necramechs in Normal Missions

Orphix Venom was two things. Firstly, it was the first Operation we’ve had in a long time, a continuation of Scarlet Spear. Secondly, it was a test bed for Necramechs in normal missions. And, in all honesty? It actually succeeded. Mostly. I mean, there’s some kinks that need working out. Bashing your head on doorways is fun. All things considered, I’m actually surprised how well Necramechs work in indoor missions. The test runs in Orphix Venom were on three tile sets: Gas City, Corpus Ship and Grineer Galleon. The surprising thing is that Necramechs actually fit quite well. Sure, the… [Continue Reading]

The Difficulties of Decorating a Dry Dock

I like to think my clan’s dojo looks pretty cool. It’s been a while since I last talked about decorating my dojo, but I’ve done a good job. The place looks awesome, and I’ve decorated most of the rooms now. There’s even a giant statue of a Volt that I built. Many of the rooms are actually partially or completely redone. In fact, aside from the robot room and cosmic garden, most rooms have a facelift and a matching theme. As it stands, there are only a handful of rooms left to decorate. There’s one large room and a couple… [Continue Reading]

5 Hidden Weapon Mechanics in Payday 2

Payday 2 has one of the most expansive rosters of firearms I can think of in gaming. Pretty much every type of real-world ordnance has at least some representation in a complete heister’s inventory. But this does lead to a lot of odd or un-intuitive things happening under the hood in the game’s code. Today, we’re covering 5 Hidden Weapon Stats in Payday 2 that I think every player should know about. These either drastically change how you use the gun or they’re a useful feature you should be taking advantage of if you don’t already know about it. 1.… [Continue Reading]

I Really Enjoyed the Team Rocket Celebration Event

As you may recall, I love doing Team Rocket battles. It’s so much fun, beating on a grunt and their weirdly overpowered Pokemon. The fact that we can do these fights regularly has been great for pandemic-based playing. And the slower rotation of Team Rocket Leaders means i more easily got the shiny shadows I wanted. However, it wasn’t always quite enough. Four battles a day is alright, but I long for more. The Team Rocket Celebration event kicked battling up too 100, with almost constant battles available. Balloons every 2 hours! That’s right, we got a Team Rocket fight… [Continue Reading]

Ticker’s Star Days Niceness

Ticker’s probably one of the best characters in Warframe. How can you not love someone who loves everyone else so much? Unlike most of Fortuna’s dealers, Ticker spends her time trying to buy out other people’s debt, and allows you to do the same. And to celebrate Star Days, Ticker is doing some nice things. Before you ask, Star Days is just an in-universe version of Valentines Day. Except it’s all about loving everyone. Love in all its forms, as Ticker herself would say. It’s a sweet thought, and much nicer than our own commercial holiday. For Star Days, Ticker… [Continue Reading]

I Think the Ignis Wraith is Fine

The Ignis Wraith came out as one of the most used weapons in 2020. Frankly, I’m not surprised. Despite being a top tier weapon, it’s damage isn’t amazing. It’s just a cool flamethrower that’s fun to use. However, just because it’s popular, doesn’t mean it’s bad. Still, plenty of people will probably complain about a flamethrower being so popular. Well, of course it is. We’re playing a hoard shooter. There’s a constant stream of enemies running at us. While, originally, Warframe was a lot stealthier than it is now, there’s always been lots of enemies. A big part of the… [Continue Reading]

The Terrifying Cave Generation of Minecraft Snapshot 21w06a

After a very long wait, we’ve finally gotten to the ‘caves’ part of the Caves and Cliffs snapshots. This is very exciting for Minecraft, since a cave update has been both teased and desired for years. While Minecraft’s original cave system is pretty cool, especially with canyons, Snapshot 21w06a threatens to completely demolish it. While only being the tip of the iceberg. 21w06a introduces the new cave generation. None of the new underground biomes are here yet. Instead, we’ve got the foundations of the new cave system. The build limit has been extended from 256 blocks to 384 blocks, with… [Continue Reading]

A Calm, Simple Way to Farm Deimos Resources with a Flamethrower

I like fishing and mining in Warframe, but sometimes it can get really tedious. You can spend ages waiting for the time to change from Fass to Vome. Or maybe you get unlucky while mining. Quite often, I’ll constantly get attacked as I’m doing these tasks. And, after a while, standing in one spot for ages fishing gets boring. An alternate way to farm for resources consists of the Requiem pillars scattered around Deimos. But these are very hit and miss, and require constant nearby enemies. They also don’t feel nearly as useful as they used to be. Thankfully, I… [Continue Reading]

I’d Like A Nightwave Story About Someone Who Isn’t An Ass

Nightwave’s original premise was quite simple. Over the course of a season or episode, we’d be told a story. As the story went along, we’d learn more clues or get different rewards. However, two things happened as we went along. Firstly, the story complexity increased over time. Glassmaker’s story involved us finding clues, while the Wolf just had us, well, fighting him. The second thing is that things always got worse as time went on. Not only did these episodes all drag on, but they all kinda ended on a low note. Wolf of Saturn Six ended with escaped prisoners… [Continue Reading]

The Wonder that is the PDF

The PDF is an amazing format. It can contain pretty much anything, from basic text to complex images, all the way to videos and digital signatures. PDFs are so powerful that they can be read by a huge variety of different programs, from Adobe’s own Acrobat Reader to programs like Microsoft Word and various browsers. In fact, I like PDFs so much that I’m writing an article about them. A Magical Mystery Box! I’ll be honest, I have no real idea how a PDF actually works. I do know however that the PDF, short for Portable Document Format, was made… [Continue Reading]
