Roselia Community Day

When I was a noob, Roselia was the bane of my existence. It was the most common grass spawn around and Roselia is the first and pretty much only raid I failed to beat. Mostly because I was level 6 and had no fire types at all except for one wild 1000CP Houndoom. Also, apparently, I was such a noob back then that I also missed not only an Eevee community day but Roselia’s shiny release. During the initial release of shiny Roselia, the chances were boosted to almost community day levels. However, I never even noticed. In fact, I… [Continue Reading]

The Original Doom: Does it Hold Up?

Since Team Fortress Classic was my first-ever multiplayer game, I’d actually never played the original Doom. Doom took the entire gaming industry by storm and forever changed the future of shooters. But thanks to the never-ending quarantine, plus getting addicted to speedrunning videos like the ones on Karl Jobst’s YouTube channel, I finally purchased and played through Doom and Doom II. While I know I’m not breaking any new ground with this incredibly-hot take, I think they may be two of the greatest games I’ve ever played. Still Badass It was truly eye-opening to go back and see these two seminal… [Continue Reading]

A Little Ramble About Those 2020 Warframe Stats

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to watch Devstream 151 live. I was too busy decorating my dojo! There’s only two rooms left! However, I did however read some of the Devstream highlight threads, and I stumbled across the 2020 stats page. Turns out, DE has uploaded a (trimmed down) version of their usage stats for 2020. And what I saw at the top of those lists wasn’t at all surprising. What interests me the most though is the list of Warframes and how they’re used. You can view the data yourself here. Wukong Prime being most used didn’t surprise me that… [Continue Reading]

Why You Should Use Tether on Your Railjack

Modding Railjacks is kinda weird. Rather than having a set of abilities and mods that enhance those abilities, Railjacks go a different route. Instead, you select which ship abilities you want to use, and shove them in the required ability slot. Really, Railjack modding seems kinda complicated at first. But most Railjacks are actually built in pretty much the same way. Not just in normal mods, but in Battle and Tactical Avionics as well. Assuming you have space for them all. To put it simply, there’s not actually enough modding capacity on Railjacks. You can’t fit a fully upgraded mod… [Continue Reading]

A Mediocre Suggestion on Kitguns

Kitguns are build-your own weapons originally sold by Rude Zuud in Fortuna, but also sold by Father on Deimos. The idea is simple: Buy the parts, build them then put them together to make a gun. You can mix and match parts, balancing damage, fire rate, ammo and status/critical chance based on what you use. Different Kitguns can be used in different ways, and can be built both as secondary weapons and primary weapons. But Kitguns tend to eat more resources and need a lot more work compared to normal weapons, so you can’t just build them and use them… [Continue Reading]

Nightwave Intermission 3 is here! How long will it last?

After the slog that was Glassmaker finally ended, we all breathed a sigh of relief. Glassmaker, while being a good idea on the surface, dragged on and consisted of the most annoying content to date. When it finally left at the end of January 2021, Glassmaker had been around for 8 months! While we’re all sick of Nightwave, we still need a way to get Nitain Extract, alternate helmets and Vauban parts. So now we have Nightwave Intermission 3. No story, just tasks. There’s no story behind this intermission. Just like previous intermissions, there’s still a reward path, but no… [Continue Reading]

The Johto Event Has Been the Best of These Region-based Pokemon GO Events

The last few weeks, we’ve been having run-up events in Pokemon GO. There’s going to be a massive Kanto event in February, and before then, we’ve been celebrating the other regions. These events though have been very hit and miss. Thankfully, the Johto event has probably been the kindest of them all. These events have all been very similar, You have a bunch of Pokemon you need to collect, as well as a new shiny and featured raids and spawns. But these events have not been particularly equal. The Sinnoh and Unova Events were mediocre at best. We’ve been going… [Continue Reading]

WTF Even Are Phantoms

Sometimes I think that maybe I shouldn’t have taken such a long break from Minecraft. I stopped playing at around Minecraft 1.8, and now we’re on Minecraft 1.16. Although I did play Pixelmon for a bit, that wasn’t quite the same as modern Minecraft. Turns out, many, many mods and modded servers use 1.12. And a huge number of larger Minecraft servers actually remain in the past, stuck on 1.12. Namely because that version runs better with lots of concurrent players. Funnily enough, this also coincides with the combat changes in 1.9, but even by 1.8, I was kinda getting… [Continue Reading]
