The Sea of Thieves 2024 Teaser Thingy

I don’t normally follow Sea of Thieves updates up close and personal, but I somehow managed to stumble across the Sea of Thieves 2024 Preview Event just before it started, and damn, I am glad I watched it. Sure, Season 11 has been pretty good, what with it giving people a reason to rank up with factions again, but what’s been teased for Seasons 12 to 14 are, well, pretty game-changing. The 2024 preview only goes over some of the major upcoming changes, but damn, everything they teased was great. If anything, the very last thing they teased, Owl pets,… [Continue Reading]

On Nundos

In Pokemon GO and Pokemon in general, most people want a Pokemon with perfect stats. A lot of people call these Pokemon ‘Hundos’, because they have 100% IVs, the maximum in every stat. Now, Hundos are technically pretty rare, and they’re mostly luck-based. While there are ways to increase your chances at getting a Hundo (via Research, doing lots of raids and getting Lucky Trades), there’s technically something a lot rarer than a Hundo: a Nundo. A Pokemon with 0% IVs. And I secretly love these guys. Checking my Pokemon GO storage, I have about 100 Pokemon with perfect IVs.… [Continue Reading]

How to Turn Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) into a Single-Player Stealth Game

STAR WARS™: Battlefront Classic Collection just came out on Steam! I’ve mentioned in several places that the original Battlefront II was my very first gaming love, long before I’d ever played Team Fortress 2 or even created a Steam account. I never actually owned it, I played it (and its predecessor) exclusively on my friend’s Xbox, but our neighborhood gang racked up hundreds of hours playing them and they are incredible. Seriously, these two games are 500% worth playing, even if you just go buy the originals, they work perfectly and have tons of cool mods to boot. The gameplay is addicting and… [Continue Reading]

Primal Kyogre Raid Day

Honestly, I love all these raid days. An event with free raid passes and a cool Pokemon. Mostly. Primal Kyogre though is one hell of a raid boss, and definitely something you need a good team with. This Pokemon hits like a truck, even if you resist water moves, doubly so if it’s raining and Kyogre is weather-boosted. While you CAN do a Primal Kyogre raid with 5 accounts, you need 5 GOOD accounts with level 35+ Pokemon and a TON of revives, especially if Kyogre has Blizzard as its charge move. Blizzard is by far the worst move because… [Continue Reading]

Litten Community Day

I’m gonna be blunt, I don’t like Incineroar. I think it looks smug and stupid and it was CLEARLY designed to be yet another fire/fighting type starter until Gamefreak realized they couldn’t add a fourth fire/fighting starter after Combusken, Infernape and Emboar. In the main games, it’s overly popular and a pain in the ass, and its shiny kinda doesn’t look as good as that of its pre-evolutions. Either way, Litten finally got its shiny release and Community Day in Pokemon GO. It was fine. And it was nice to see the x3 catch XP come back. Getting 7000 XP… [Continue Reading]

Oh God the Zenistar Sucks So Bad Now

For a long time, the Zenistar was my melee weapon of choice. As a newbie, it carried me through many a Defense Mission whenever I wasn’t using someone like Frost or Limbo. Although, frankly, as soon as Gara and Khora came out, Defense Missions became a lot easier. However, in Melee 2.9/3.0, all melee weapons were reworked and rebalanced, and, well, the Zenistar kinda died. It became shit. Simply put, the duration of the flaming disc was changed so it matched your combo count. The old Zenistar, the flaming disc would always last 45 seconds, which is a reasonable amount… [Continue Reading]

On Having Written Over 2 Million Words

Turns out, I’ve written over 2 million words here on the Daily SPUF. That’s a lot of words. Like, I can barely comprehend a million words, let alone two million. Really, a million of anything is a huge number. One million seconds is equal to about 11 and a half days, a week and a half nearly. And that’s just seconds, a very small unit of measurement. On top of that, the Daily SPUF itself recently passed the 3 million word mark, meaning I’ve written a third of this blog’s content, and that discrepancy is only going to get bigger… [Continue Reading]

Sevagoth’s Lullaby VS Sleeping In The Cold Below

Call of the Tempestarii was a weird update, because it was both kinda big and kinda small. While yes, it did come with Corpus Railjack missions and a new Warframe, it also game with a really good but also really short quest. The update also shipped with probably one of the best sea shanties to ever bless our ears, the track known as Sleeping In The Cold Below. Call of the Tempestarii was well-received, but everyone mostly only remembers it for the awesome music that came with it. Okay, sure, Sevagoth was cool but people only ever build him so… [Continue Reading]

A Zorua-Themed Event Would Be Hilarious

Zorua took a while to come to Pokemon GO, but when it finally arrived, it came with a pretty nice gimmick. Rather than just appearing in the wild, Zorua spawns disguised as your buddy. It does this to the point that, if you are walking a shiny Pokemon, Zorua will appear in the wild as a shiny. And when you tap on it, if it’s a Best Buddy, it’ll also spawn with the Best Buddy badge. This gimmick can make Zorua really easy to spot if you’re walking a Legendary Pokemon, but if you’re walking something kinda normal, like an… [Continue Reading]

Adventures On… Not the Stormcloud?

Normally, when we play Sea of Thieves, we sail on Stormcloud, one of Bacxaber’s three ships. Occasionally we’ll sail on my Little Stormcloud, a brig, or if Fox is around, we’ll sail on one of his five billion different ships, all of which are unique. But lately, we’ve been taking out some of my other ships. The other day, we got to sail on my sloop, The Daily SPUF, but recently, we played with one of Bacxaber’s old friends, a guy called Lego, who hadn’t played Sea of Thieves for over a year, and even then, they were still very… [Continue Reading]
