Wait, a Brief Period Without Event Spawns?

Pokemon spawning in the middle of a desert

The three Ultra Weeks have just finished in Pokemon Go. Aside from some small make-up mini-events, we have no event right now. The calm before the next storm. But this is actually… kinda weird. We’ve had events for so long that we haven’t really had any time with no weird events going on. There’s no special eggs, no special raids, nothing. It’s… kinda peaceful. We get to see more Pokemon, kinda. When you have an event, spawns are pretty limited. You see whatever is in the event and not much else. The Enigma Event had tons of Staryu spawning, as… [Continue Reading]

Soloing and Duo-ing Things in Warframe

Members of the clan Tenno of Anarchy

One of the things I’ve always liked about Warframe is how almost all of the game is solo-able. The only things that weren’t doable solo were the 4-8player Trials, but they were designed with 8 players in mind. Even the Halls of Ascension, including the floating platform, can be done on your own by cleverly using your Operator, your Warframe and a handful of Specters. You can even build and fund a full dojo completely on your own. But playing solo is so, so much more work than playing with a group. Right off the bat, the biggest challenge to… [Continue Reading]

Retvik’s Thoughts on the Roar Pre-Nerf

Blue and Gold Rhino

As part of some desperate attempt to not break Warframe completely, some subsumed abilities will be nerfed. What does this mean? This means that, when the Helminth system comes out, some abilities won’t be identical. For example, Roar won’t have the same strength on other frames as it does Rhino. It’s only a handful of abilities, but it’s caused an uproar (no pun intended) in the Warframe community. Why? I don’t really know. But honestly, as a person with a blog, I really don’t know what the big deal is. Seriously, take a moment to stop and think about this.… [Continue Reading]

Unova Week Was Even More Naff

The only actual new releases. Bouffalant doesn't count.

I feel like I owe Enigma Week an apology. It was a rather weak event that lasted a whole week. But even Enigma Week had some good stuff in it. Unova Week is just all round bad. What is actually new? There’s four new Pokemon and two new shinies. The shinies are Genesect, a Mythical Pokemon, and Roggenrola, an uncommon Pokemon that is only ever vaguely abundant in partly cloudy weather. Both are good shinies, but the event spawn rates of Roggenrola are mediocre, and Genesect is a Mythical, so if you don’t get one this week, you’re screwed. The… [Continue Reading]

Medic’s Thoughts on Remote Raid Invites in Pokemon Go

Medic and a bunch of Pokemon face a massive Tyranitar

You know what’s weird? Despite the ability to remotely invite people to raids being out for a while… I received my first raid invite only yesterday. Most of the time, it’s me who’s at the raid location, trying to invite other people. So, finally, I actually got to see what a remote raid via an invite felt like. It’s… good and bad. I’ll discuss both. The Good The best thing by far is that you can do raids nearly anywhere. As long as someone is at the raid, they can invite up to 5 other people. I’ve been invited to… [Continue Reading]

Risk of Rain 2’s Final Boss and Level Are Pretty Crazy

UES Safe Travels in orbit above a strange planet

Risk of Rain 2 is finally out of early access and can be completed. This means a final level and a final boss, as well as a way to escape without, well, dying. Before RoR2 came out of early access, the only real way to end a run was to die or loop once and obliterate or fight a Scavenger. But now we have a final boss that we can kill, as well as some sort of happy ending. But man, this final boss is a rush. (Also, spoilers ahead, so be careful out there.) Getting to the boss isn’t… [Continue Reading]

Five Hidden Farming Spots in Warframe

Vauban in the back of a ship

There’s often so much to farm in Warframe that you don’t know where to begin. But after a while, you get bored of the same old spots. After all, how many times can you play Sanctuary Onslaught without getting bored? And I am sure most people are sick of playing the Index, right? With so much to farm, sometimes you need new, fresh, farming locations. Here’s five such farming spots, which should hopefully liven up your Warframe sessions. The Bit-of-Everything Farm – Profit Taker and Exploiter Orb It somewhat makes sense that the massive robots, build by a cult that… [Continue Reading]

On Farming Warframes to Feed to An Infested Monster

Just some of the Warframes I have ready to go.

When I watched TennoLive 2020 and saw a Mag get killed and absorbed by a wall, I had two thoughts. My first thought was “what did Mag do to deserve that?” My second thought was “damn, am I going to need more Warframes?” Luckily, I have answers to both those questions. The Mag did nothing wrong. And yes, I will need a lot more Warframes. Not just any Warframes however. I will need normal Warframes. The basic ones. No Primes allowed. Luckily, I kept some of them, right? Well, yes and no. I still have my original Starter Volt. He’s… [Continue Reading]

Enigma Week Was Pretty Naff

A Beheeyem called Limbo

I’m gonna be honest here. I complained about the dragon week. But the dragon part of the ‘Ultra Unlocks’ from GO Fest wasn’t that bad. At the very least, there was Dratini spawning everywhere, and Bagon was common enough for people to get a Salamence. We also got two Deinos and Gible was a surprise encounter. Enigma Week though was boring as fuck. Nothing special what so ever. What was even in Enigma week? Enigma Week always seems to focus on strange things. We had the return of Unown for the letters U, L, T, R and A. We had… [Continue Reading]

Is A Warframe Alive and Conscious?

Umbra and Skiajati

With the Heart of Deimos update, we’ll be getting a new Helminth and a new infested room on our ship. Inside that room, we’ll be able to do some horrible things, like feeding a massive mouth on the wall and injecting our Warframes with new powers. We’ll also be able to murder Warframes. More precisely, we can feed them to the Helminth. And doing so will give us a Warframe ability we can put onto other Warframes. So yeah. We’re killing Warframes. But is this morally correct? Okay, that’s a bit of an unfair question. Warframe is dripping with immorality.… [Continue Reading]
