A Day Off

Every year, some time during November and generally before any “black Friday” sales or anything like that, I’ll take a day off and spend a small fortune buying gifts for my family. Since I’ve been able to drive, it’s been a bit of a tradition for me, as I have the freedom to actually go out and buy gifts. Every year, I look forward to this one day off of my choosing, and every year I both enjoy it and end up with a sore foot or something because I trip over or have done too much walking. This year… [Continue Reading]

The New Steam Library

I’ve been meaning to write an update about the new Steam Library look for a while, but I’ve not been able to put my finger on when it comes to what I do and don’t like about it. But frankly, the very first thing I did when I saw the new Steam Library was roll my eyes. The second thing I did, as soon as I saw the Steam Library, was wonder why it was weirdly slow. Turns out, the Steam Library shows a ton of community stuff and has loads of transitions and things like that. Thanks to the… [Continue Reading]

The Ember Rework from Someone Who Hasn’t Played With the Ember Rework Yet

That title up there is a pretty weird one, isn’t it? How can I sit here and judge a rework for Ember when I haven’t even really played Ember since said rework? I’ve judged Ember in the past (especially since she was one of the earlier Primed frames I built) but I’ve never claimed to main Ember or really play her in any meaningful way. That being said, I have a clan mate who always liked Ember and has a very nice magenta and gold colour scheme for her, matching all the other female magenta and gold-coloured Warframe Articulars in… [Continue Reading]

Rising Tides? More Like Waiting Tides!

After an utterly chaotic 133rd Devstream in which only two people showed up and one of the developers was drifting back and forth between his own stream and the main stream, the Rising Tides update hit unexpectedly on late Friday night, requiring a huge amount of farming and a huge amount of waiting to get your personal interplanetary battleship built and ready to fly. Assuming you don’t rush the Dry Dock, it’s a good day’s worth to build the Dry Dock, then two hours to deal with the research for the Ship Cephalon that you then need to replicate the… [Continue Reading]

“TF2 is on Hold”… So?

According to the Valve News Network, a Youtube channel that is known for digging deep into cut content and discussing and speculating about all things Valve, they got in touch with a couple of people at Valve and apparently Team Fortress 2 is on hold for the time being. There’s essentially no one working on Team Fortress 2 and there are no new TF2 updates in the future because it’s all hands on deck for the new Half-Life VR game. We won’t know whether Valve will ever do anything with Team Fortress 2 for a long time. My response to… [Continue Reading]

Fighting Team Rocket Leaders and Giovanni

After being ill for the last week or so, I finally managed to get my fat ass into gear and finish the Looming in the Shadows quest, which actually took longer than I expected, mostly because of a complete lack of Team Rocket Pokestops. After all, how am I supposed to fight the Team Rocket Leaders if I can’t actually find them? Yeah, this quest has been a bit bumpy for me. You need to do 6 normal Team Rocket Pokestops, defeating the Grunts that are there, so you can get 6 Mysterious Components and combine them into a Team… [Continue Reading]

How I would make a Kuva Lich System

While the new Kuva Lich system in Warframe has had some changes, like a very slight decrease in Thralls required, Liches no longer stealing the things you need to kill them and now the opportunity to not get the same weapon twice in a row, there’s still a few massive problems with it all: the system is too enclosed, requiring you to actively go out and hunt a Lich down for 1-5 hours for mediocre rewards; and Kuva Liches aren’t actually Liches in any way. The latter problem is quite easy to solve by making it so that you can… [Continue Reading]

Youtube Annoyances

Youtube has been annoying me lately. I mean, it’s always annoying but it’s literally the biggest video site around so there’s not much you can do about it aside from complaining. But there’s been this shift of changes big and small that are bothering me, not as a content creator but as a viewer. Because content creation and Youtube are a whole different kettle of fish. Mostly this has to do with subscriptions and recommendations. You know that list of subscriptions on the side of Youtube? Well that little bar constantly misbehaves. I swear the channels randomly change order and… [Continue Reading]

The Vauban Rework in the Eyes of a Non-Vauban Player

With all the Warframe I’ve been playing lately, I kinda forgot about the Vauban and Ember reworks, to the point that I haven’t even played Ember yet. In fact, Ember remained in my arsenal at level 22, after I stuck a Forma in her to see what all her fire effects looked like with two energy colours instead of one. No, it wasn’t as impressive as Nezha was with his flaming trail. Vauban on the other hand, I managed to get Vauban and Vauban Prime in the days where Vauban was available only from alerts and Vauban Prime was still… [Continue Reading]

Shenanigans in Just Cause 2 Multiplayer

Sometimes you just want a game that you can load up and blow stuff up in, doing all that with a group of friends and preferably in a friendly setting. Well, most games don’t really have that. And out of the group of friends I play games with, two of them tend to not have money to spend on games, meaning we have to find cheap or free games that fulfill our destructive needs. Just Cause 2 Multiplayer is one such game. Sort of. Firstly, it’s worth noting that multiplayer for Just Cause 2 is a massive mod that an… [Continue Reading]
