Team Fortress 2 now has Real Competitive Rankings

TF2 competitive

Out of the blue, a wild Team Fortress 2 update has appeared! A Team Fortress 2 update that actually has some substance, that is more than just the release of a new cosmetic set. Okay, that was still a big part of the update, and ironically the new collection is called the Blue Moon Case, but still, we got changes! Balance ones! The biggest thing though is the change to the competitive system. The much needed changes. The changes we should have had ages ago. Before the update, everyone, from b4nny to a guy who literally just started the game… [Continue Reading]

Things You Should Never Buy When it Comes to Warframe

The Proto Nyx bundle is NOT worth it if you already have Nyx.

Warframe’s a free to play game. You can get to Mastery Rank 25 and unlock every game-changing item in the game for free, aside from Founders’ items. You can trade for the in-game premium currency Platinum, which is extremely rare for a free to play title. There are also a lot of items only available for free currencies in the game. It’s really pretty amazing. BUT there are still a handful of expensive pitfalls that you really should avoid. Mod Packs These things are fucking awful. You’re guaranteed one ‘rare mod’ in each pack, but rare just means gold, and… [Continue Reading]

An Old Medic Failing with the Best Healer Ever

Trinity with Archwing in a vague Mercy look.

For someone who calls himself Medic, mained Medic in Team Fortress 2 and had a single class make up about 80% of my gameplay, it seems really weird that I wouldn’t leap into Warframe and grab the healing character at the first opportunity. Back then, Trinity wasn’t even that hard to get, her parts dropping from a tag-team fight between two bosses I’d already soundly defeated. Considering how powerful Trinity is, was and always will be, it seems insane that Medic’s playing anyone but. That’s not to say I never play Trinity. She has her place. She’s a good frame.… [Continue Reading]

Slow Internet Connections and You

Loading

It’s funny isn’t it? How slow internet speeds can really piss you off. Should your internet connection suddenly disappear (generally because of power cuts or whatever), you get a little angry about it, but then you calm down and move on. There is nothing you can do, so you get over your losses and move on. But slow internet connections? They are one of the most rage-inducing things in existence, alongside things like stubbing your toe and stepping on LEGO pieces. The opportunity to get things done, to watch your video or view a gif of a kitten falling over… [Continue Reading]

Farming for Kuva

HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO SEE A BLACK AND RED CLOUD IN HERE?

Farming for Kuva is one of the most tedious things in Warframe ever. There are few things on the same level as Kuva farming. Defection and the Infested Salvage mission to farm for Nidus mostly. But at least the reward of getting Nidus is totally worth it, and once you have that lone Harrow part, you can ignore Defection completely. The farm for Ivara might be tedious but Spy missions are always good to learn, considering they’re common in Sorties. Kuva though, it’s a resource in multiple weapons and you need a TON of it for re-rolling riven mods. Kuva… [Continue Reading]

On The New Kuva Survival

The Kuva Fortress has Kuva now!

As soon as the update hit, I knew exactly what would happen. People coming out in droves screaming that this “Kuva in the Kuva Fortress” mission doesn’t give enough Kuva and that it’s not very good and that DE should be ashamed of themselves. That was exactly what happened. That and a few bugs – Kuva not being saved to your inventory at the end of the mission and being unable to farm more Kuva, but I think they’ve been ironed out already. The mission is simple. On Taveuni, the Survival mission on the Kuva Fortress, enemies can now drop… [Continue Reading]

A List of Things I’d Like for Clan Dojos

This took fucking forever to fund.

Since I recently got promoted to clan architect, I’ve been wanting to build stuff in the dojo but there’s so many little things that bother me. So I thought I’d be constructive and post a list of things that I’d really like added or changed. Because the Dojo Remaster really wasn’t that amazing, all it did was, aside from giving everyone a bunch of Grineer and Corpus resources that already existed in-game, give you Captura-style free camera and the same settings you get to move things around on your Orbiter. First things first, contributing to things. Everything needs to be… [Continue Reading]

On Mastery Tests

Patiently sitting here, waiting to trample someone to death...

I hate Mastery Tests. You need to do one every time you level up your Mastery Rank. The tests range from anything between “do this super short obstacle course” to “kill a bunch of enemies without dying using just one weapon type” to “stealth kill all these enemies who cause you to lose a life should they even catch a glimpse of you and you’re not allowed anything but a melee weapon, no abilities either.” There’s one for every rank, from Mastery Rank 1 to Mastery Rank 25, with new mastery ranks and tests being released when there’s enough items… [Continue Reading]

A Blaze Restrained – Ember and Chroma Nerfs and an Opinion

My Ember is sexy. Then again almost all Ember Primes are sexy.

In the recent Shrines of the Eidolon update, there was a ton of buffs to both weapons and Warframes. There were also some nerfs though. Mainly in the form of Chroma and Ember, two rather popular Warframes, one of which is due a Primed frame and one of which is currently unvaulted for a short period of time. Chroma’s nerf changed the way he used his buffs. Basically, the way his abilities worked, he would multiply both his armour and his damage by a certain amount (based on how much shield and health damage he’d taken) and this multiplication would… [Continue Reading]

Gang Beasts – The Good, the Bad and the Insane

Gang Beasts online multiplayer

A while back, Gang Beasts left Early Access and became an officially released game on Steam. There were lots of changes, but not everyone seems to think they were all good. As for me? Well, it’s good and bad. As a casual player who only plays with fellow casual morons who can barely work an XBOX controller, it’s worth pointing out what some of these good and bad things are. The Good There are a fuck ton of costumes now, as well as the ability to completely customize your little drunk idiot of a character. A lot of them have… [Continue Reading]
