IGNIS WRAITHS FOR EVERYONE!

In what felt like a decade ago, I spent two and a half hours doing a Defection mission with my then rather busy little clan. Back then, I was a newbie, and my job was to play Trinity and spam healing. Otherwise the rest of the group and the Grineer defectors we were saving would all die. The Pacifism Defect was very tough, and pretty much every player in the clan pulled their own weight. The Tenno of Anarchy managed to reach the top 10% of clans, and we were rewarded with the Ignis Wraith blueprint, added directly to our… [Continue Reading]

A Gigalithic Community Day

Another month, another community day. However this community day is a bit of a surprise, because no one really expected Roggenrola to be the chosen Pokemon. Especially in the middle of an event filled with Steel-type Pokemon. In this community day, it ran from 2pm until 5pm, allowing you to evolve a Boldore into a Gigalith to learn Meteor Beam. And, of course, it had a much higher chance of being a shiny. It’s an… unusual choice of Pokemon. Not the best but usable at least Sadly, even with Meteor Beam, Gigalith isn’t that amazing. Rhyperior, Rampardos and Terrakion are… [Continue Reading]

A Quiet Day In the Sea of Thieves

You know what? Not every day is a day of bloodshed. Sometimes, you can just lay back, eat some fruit then run into a hidden vault to grab as much gold as possible. Turns out there’s more than just unlocking cosmetics and murdering people for their loot. Well, I say that, but really, part of the reason I play Sea of Thieves is to murder people and be a pirate, but you get what I mean. After all, we all need gold. And where do we get gold? Pretty much everywhere. So we raised a flag with the Gold Hoarders… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon GO’s most useless Legendary and Mythical Pokemon

When you encounter and catch a Legendary Pokemon, you assume that it will be a powerhouse, doing lots of damage, carving out its own niche or just all-round very good. Unfortunately though, in the world of Pokemon GO, things don’t always work out. Because Pokemon GO’s system is a tad different, Attack and Defense stats are rolled into one, and Speed simply isn’t a stat at all. Because of this and how Pokemon attacks work, way too many Pokemon end up being a mess. And this doubly applies to legendary Pokemon. Xerneas We start with one of my favourite legendary… [Continue Reading]

Boyfriend Fajitas

Fajita is the sort of meal that gets wildly stretched and distorted, depending on who and where you are. This version is what me and my boyfriend cook together. It’s almost certainly not traditional but it is very tasty. Our fajitas are made to cover multiple meals and the boyfriend eats a lot, so if it’s just you, half all the quantities. Ingredients: 2 peppers, one red and one yellow or orange, chopped 1 kilo of mince, preferably pork 1 large onion, chopped 1 tin of chopped tomatoes, or pasata, or tomato puree with some water Spices – Paprika (sweet… [Continue Reading]

On No Longer Worrying About Balance

Back when Deimos first cane out, the infested room in the back of our ships was reworked. After obtaining a module from Son, one of the Entrati family on Deimos, we could rework the fleshy infested space into a way to, well, change things. By sacrificing a Warframe to the Helminth, we could take one of that Warframe’s abilities, then put it on another Warframe. The Helminth system ended up proving to be be quite popular. While it is a pain having to re-farm for Warframes we already had or needed to subsume, we gained the ability to be quite… [Continue Reading]

I Don’t Trust This Pirate Lord Guy

So there’s a guy who is kinda in charge of the Sea of Thieves. At the very least, he controls most of the outposts and keeps it raining money. The Sea of Thieves is a massive secret, cut off from the rest of humanity. And everything in the Sea of Thieves is somehow related to this self-proclaimed Pirate Lord. But there’s something off about this guy, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it’s because his name is Ramsey. Either way, I don’t trust this guy. So much power yet all you do is hide Ramsey is,… [Continue Reading]

On Solo’ing a Deoxys

When it comes to one-player raids in Pokemon GO, the average player can easily do one-star raids and complete three-star raids with little trouble. Unless it’s a three-star Shuckle raid. Those things are tanky. However, the idea of a solo player beating a level 5 raid is often out of the question. There ARE ways of soloing some raids, but they often require a full party of shadows, a Mega Pokemon or both. Over the years though, with better Legendaries, Community Days with strong moves and just better moves in general, the task of solo-ing a level 5 raid becomes… [Continue Reading]

The Luckiest Magikarp in a Dynamax Raid

For a while now, I kinda forgot that I had a Nintendo Switch. It sat in its bag on my desk, gathering a little bit of dust as I continued to not use it. I did plan to do a play-through of Animal Crossing, but, frankly, it would be pretty boring. All that aside, I opened up Pokemon Shield, to see what my party was doing. For some reason, my entire team, aside from my starter, were poison types. Anyway, weird team composition aside, I noticed that I was in Hammerlocke, one of the two places connected to the wild… [Continue Reading]

Back 4 Blood, Left 4 Dead and Ambience

Recently I’ve been watching zombie things. Shaun of the Dead is my favourite zombie movie, but there are plenty of other ones. I’ve also been playing zombie things, namely Left 4 Dead 2, as well as trying out Back 4 Blood. While one is the spiritual ancestor of the other, these games invoke very different feelings. In this article, I am only going to compare aesthetics, ambiance and the general background setting. The gameplay is best left for later. Different timelines in similar apocalypses While yes, Left 4 Dead and Back 4 Blood are set in very similar universes, the… [Continue Reading]
