5 Pokemon that are Pretty Damn Useless in Pokemon GO

Not all Pokemon are equal. In fact, there’s a ton of inequality in these pocket monsters. On the one hand you have cute birds and little mice. On the other hand, you have terrifying monsters that can flood the entire world. These Pokemon, and every Pokemon between them, can be used by us to participate in battles and raids and things like that. However, there are some Pokemon that are different. They lack something that sets them apart from the rest of their species. Here are five Pokemon who are pretty damn useless in Pokemon GO. Party Hat Nidorino For… [Continue Reading]

On Playing as Reapers in the Sea of Thieves

So far, while playing Sea of Thieves, we’ve mostly been doing the same few things. But we always do these things as an Emissary, earning experience for different factions. Outside of Veil missions, the Stormcloud are often representing the Reapers’ Bones, and the faction is somewhat frowned upon. Why? Because, although they spend a lot of time doing the same things as other ships, the Reapers are generally considered the PvP faction. And it turns out not everyone is a fan of the Reapers’ Bones. Or PvP in general. Reapers are easy to avoid Well, they’re super easy to avoid,… [Continue Reading]

Pokemon Camping is Fun

In Pokemon Sword and Shield, you can go camping! At the start of the game, you are given a whole camping bag that contains all the stuff you need to pitch a tent and chill out with your Pokemon buddies. It’s actually a pretty cute little distraction, and adds a nice social aspect to the game. You can camp alone or with NPCs, let your Pokemon get some fresh air and do some cooking. And, unlike Dynamax raids, you don’t need to worry about a Solrock buffing itself 4 times before having its stats reset by the raid boss. It’s… [Continue Reading]

This New, Blue Daily Incense is Pretty Cool

Pokemon GO is best played in a town or city that has lots of Pokestops. Lots of Pokestops means lots of Pokemon to be caught. Some Pokestops turn into gyms, which teams battle over for control. However, the further you travel away from a city, the less Pokemon you find and the amount of Pokestops and gyms swiftly decreases. Often to the point that nothing spawns. Basically, if you live somewhere too rural, Pokemon GO can be nigh unplayable. There have been attempts to fix Pokemon GO for rural players. One of the earlier ones was allowing players at level… [Continue Reading]

On Steve, Soulframe, Warframe and New Ambitions

At the end of Tennocon 2022, we got a reveal of a brand new game, one that is now in development. Soulframe is going to be a brand new game, leaning much further towards fantasy over science fiction. Digital Extremes are now making two games instead of just one, which means that some people are going to move towards Soulframe. Most notably, the biggest person moving to the new Soulframe project is Steve Sinclair, the creative director of Warframe. You know, the guy who has led Warframe through thick and thin, all the way back to Warframe’s humble beginning as… [Continue Reading]

Hope for Hop

Every Pokemon game has some sort of rival thing going on. I think it’s almost like an actual law, that you can’t become a Pokemon trainer unless you have a rival or some random ass to push you along the way. It’s been like this since the very first Pokemon game, and now it’s basically a tradition. After all, you need some sort of competition to spur you on. However, over the years, it seems like the rival has kinda… calmed down, I guess? They’re not as aggressive as they used to be. They’re still your rival though and they’ll… [Continue Reading]

A Hall of Fame

I kinda realized that I didn’t really showcase the team I used in Pokemon Shield. Some Pokemon were permanent members, while others came and went, according to any upcoming gyms. For each new gym challenge, I swapped out Pokemon and leveled up Pokemon that were guaranteed to be super effective against the gym leaders. However, my final team was a bit different. After all, the gym leaders all focused on one type. And I could just pick Pokemon that were super-effective against their types. Leon and my rivals on the other hand all had much more diverse teams. So I… [Continue Reading]

In Which Medic Invites His Readers to Choose His Next Play-through

I’ll be blunt here. I don’t consider myself a real gamer. After all, there are so many classic games that I’ve missed, either via not owning them or never getting round to play them. Quite often, I don’t have the right gaming console, and I don’t want to mess around with emulation. Especially if I don’t already own the game. The way I play, I tend to hyper-fixate on one particular game at a time, with a little Pokemon GO on the side. What I really need is for someone to kick my ass and tell me what to play.… [Continue Reading]

My Very Early Thoughts on Soulframe

So it looks like Digital Extremes are making another game. At Tennocon 2022, a brand new game, built on the same engine as Warframe, was released at the end of the show. Dubbed Soulframe, while it had the same artistic style, what little we saw definitely set it apart from Warframe. This is high fantasy, a stark contrast to Warframe’s high sci-fi. And what we’ve seen so far as been… interesting. Curious even. But also rather vague. In the trailer, we see a new land, some new people and a lot of fog. There’s story in there somewhere, hidden behind… [Continue Reading]

Starly Community Day and Staravia Raids

I’ll be honest. I barely bothered with the Starly Community Day. It just wasn’t particularly interesting. We got one of the many bird-like Pokemon, and the day just was… boring, even if I did have nearby spawns. Somehow though, Starly Community Day was boring enough that I’m actually writing an article about it. Not even bothering to try and live up to Deino day Okay, sure, not every Community Day can be as good as the Deino Community Day. That event was a ton of fun, we got a cool Pokemon and it got a good move. We also had… [Continue Reading]
