Literally Three Hours Doing A Raid

For the first time in ages, I had enough people around to have a party of six, including Spectre, our resident person who really really knows his Destiny 2 stuff. Spectre is the sort of person who will cheese a strike and nuke the boss with ease, leaving everyone else in the dust. And that poor bugger willingly decided to lead all five newbies through not one but two raids. I think we all underestimated how long that would take. Basically, it was hell. Okay, the first raid wasn’t so bad. Leviathan, Eater of Worlds isn’t that complicated. It just… [Continue Reading]

The Archaic Beauty That Is Windows Live Movie Maker

Aabicus has written an article about free tools for making videos and stuff like that. He’s a professional video editor these days. In fact, that’s aabicus’s main job now, editing and putting together videos. It’s a tough job that requires a lot of work and a lot of patience. Me on the other hand, I’m not a video editor. I’m actually not very good at video editing at all. In fact, I’m particularly stifled because I’ve never really had the… specs to do video editing. But the keen eye might notice that there ARE videos by me on the SPUF… [Continue Reading]

When A Minecraft Server Turns into a Gambling Server

I like to play a bit of Pixelmon. Pixelmon is a mod for Minecraft that basically combines Minecraft and Pokemon. The best experience to do this is on a multiplayer server. There are lots out there, but I play on one in particular. Unfortunately, this server just seems to be turning into a place to gamble. To the point that, well, I really wouldn’t recommend playing on the RC-Gamers Pixelmon servers at all. Now, I understand that servers need to make money, but… I’m going to get this out of the way first. Yes, servers need donations to keep on… [Continue Reading]

3 Free Programs That Will Turn You Into a Video Editor

I’ve been video-editing for most of my life, and these days I pay the bills making motivational-coaching vids for this YouTube/Instagram channel. And I’m here to tell you that if you have any interest, any predilection whatsoever towards even maybe learning video editing, you should absolutely do so. You know how everyone tells high-schoolers to become programmers? That programming pays well due to being a highly skill-based, in-demand industry with no threat of robots stealing your job? Well, all those perks apply to video-editing too. But where to start, I hear you ask? With these three programs. Pick your favorite video… [Continue Reading]

Even with Deimos, the Infested are Still Boring

The Heart of Deimos is the first Infested open world area. You venture through an icky, gooey, biting landscape. A place where everything wants to eat you. The Cambion Drift is an awful place. But, deep down, it’s not a completely infested hellhole. There’s Orokin architecture buried underneath. This place isn’t all Infested, it’s an amalgam of both Infested and Orokin. And the more interesting stuff is definitely the Orokin. The fact is, the Infested aren’t that… interesting. That probably seems a little mean at first. The Infested can’t help the fact that they’re the generic alien-like enemy. I suppose… [Continue Reading]

The Deimos Isolation Vault Pillar Farm

Unlike Fortuna and Cetus, you need a LOT of resources to rank up with the Entrati. The Cambion Drift is much more resource-heavy than the previous open worlds, and constantly drains you of supplies. Not only do you need the resources to increase your rank, but you also need the resources to earn standing in general. While the token system is useful for not losing standing, you need to work a lot harder to level up and get what you need. And that means fishing, mining, conserving and doing bounties. Luckily, there’s a solution that combines… some of these tasks.… [Continue Reading]

12km Eggs Are Stupid

I’ve mentioned in the past how eggs in Pokemon Go are stupid. You can’t delete them, you can’t do much with them and they give shit rewards. In fact, the only time they are vaguely worth walking is during events with halved distances. No one wants to walk 10km and be rewarded with a Feebas. But now we have a new type of egg! And they’re even worse. They’re worse in 3 ways. Problem 1: These eggs are rare as fuck. Shadow eggs or red eggs are hard to get. To get a chance to get a red egg, you… [Continue Reading]

Some thoughts on the Caves and Cliffs Update announcement, Part 3

I thought this will only be a two-parter, boy was I wrong. Over the last two articles, I went through lush caves, mountains, and the new underground caves and structures. Basically, the main subject of the Caves and Cliffs Update. Now, I’ll be talking about the other things that are being added into this update. Bundles are a way to get 64 of any assorted items into a single inventory space. And honestly, this is amazing for projects when you have a lot of items you need to use, but you only need a couple of each item. What’s also… [Continue Reading]

You NEED to finish the “An Inter-egg-sting Development” Research!

After months of staying in hiding, Giovanni is back with a new plan. There are new shadow eggs that contain… honestly pretty basic Pokemon, and we need to, uh, liberate them from Team Rocket! Alongside these new eggs, we have a new special research! And unlike the old Team Rocket special researches, this one is important. It has some pretty damn good rewards. But you gotta work for them. I’m gonna cut to the chase. You can’t miss out on these rewards. The new special research gives two things: Firstly, at the very end of the research, it gives you… [Continue Reading]

Why Do We Even Care About Shiny Pokemon?

A while back, Articuno appeared in raids, with a potential to be shiny. Brother really wanted a shiny Articuno to complete his collection, and I wanted one too. Between us, with four accounts, we probably had about 50 chances to get a shiny Articuno. Out of all the raids we did, the only person to get a shiny Articuno was my little level 28 account, which only just has the right counters to fight Articuno in the first place. We weren’t alone. During the Tuesday raid hour, we were in a group of 15 accounts and we did 5 raids.… [Continue Reading]
