Thoughts About the Beyond Light campaign – 1

I know, I’m pretty damn late to the party here. Especially since the Witch Queen will come out in February 2022. I’ve never really been that fond of Destiny 2’s campaign quests and I’m not really sure why. But after spending ages just leveling stuff up, I decided I wanted to try Stasis. After all, it’s a whole new type of magical element, a complete fourth class. However, Stasis is… well, kinda evil. It’s literally an element of the Darkness, you know, the big bad black triangles that have been threatening us for like a year though. It was about… [Continue Reading]

Destiny 2’s RNG Leveling Up Process

I’ll be honest, while I do like Destiny 2, I find it really hard to play on my own. My Light Level is rather low and I don’t have particularly good luck when it comes to leveling up. While I can sorta do alright in normal Strikes and the like, Destiny 2 is not a game I feel like I can play solo. It doesn’t help that playing Destiny 2 kinda feels like a chore. But there is something that bothers me a little bit more than just needing to get good. I’m not 100% sure but it seems that… [Continue Reading]

I Finally Figured Out Why I Do and Don’t Like Destiny 2

I have a massive love/hate relationship with Destiny 2. It’s a game that I have drifted to and from, right from the start. Okay, sure, I never played Destiny 1. But when the beta came out on PC, aabicus and I played it, doing the one available strike on Nesus. While it was, well, alright, Destiny 2 didn’t really stick to me. In fact, many of the previous articles I have written about Destiny 2 have been somewhat negative. In the mean time, I played other games. Warframe is the big name among them, and had just the right balance… [Continue Reading]

I’m Confused About All This Witch Queen Stuff

Normally, I don’t follow Destiny 2 that closely. While I have tried to enjoy Destiny 2, I find it hard to play regularly. There is a lot of grind in Destiny 2, but since I already have a game I grind hard in, I don’t really fancy another. That being said, I do keep an eye on new updates and stuff. After all, my brother plays Destiny 2 and he enjoys it a lot, telling me when all the cool new stuff is appearing. So when he informed me that Destiny 2 were doing a live stream and announcement that… [Continue Reading]

Another Ramble About Destiny 2’s Shaders

A while back, I rambled on about how I didn’t really like the cosmetic system in Destiny 2. Since I was regularly farming gear over and over to upgrade my light level, I was stuck with ugly, default colours. While I did have the ability to change my looks with shaders, it honestly wasn’t worth it. I was just wearing whatever had the biggest number on it, and hoped I’d find something better. In fact, one of the bigger turn-offs was how Destiny 2 shaders were one-use only. If I needed more shaders, I’d need to spend resources to obtain… [Continue Reading]

A Brief Look at how my Character’s Look Influences how I Enjoy Destiny 2

Try as I might, I’ve always struggled with getting into Destiny 2. On the surface, I think the game is great, but I never find myself able to play for very long. The only times I DO play lots of Destiny 2 is when I am playing with friends. Mostly because I’m not very good at it. But one of the major issues I had was that my character looked, well, kinda crap. The reason why I looked like crap was quite simple. I was constantly cycling out better gear. In trying to reach the same level as everyone else,… [Continue Reading]

Things I Really Don’t Like in Destiny 2

This sounds like a stupid name for an article. If you look at my most-played lately, you’ll see that I’ve been playing Destiny 2. More than I’ve been playing Warframe. The only games I’ve played more of lately are Minecraft and Pokemon Go. But you can’t see Steam Stats for those. This article becomes even more weird when you realize I’ve completed content like the Leviathan raid and have a nice collection of exotics. I’ve spent a lot of time playing Destiny 2, yet somehow there’s something about this game that REALLY pisses me off. To the point that I… [Continue Reading]

Destiny 2’s Shaders Just Don’t Seem Right

I like being able to customize my looks in multiplayer games. In a world where there’s more than one ‘chosen one’ and you’re running around in public, you want to look good. After all, you don’t want clones running around, do you? Every game has its own way of allowing you to customize your character, while also making money in the process. Destiny 2 is one such game that allows you to customize your character and how they look. But how it all works in Destiny 2… well, none of it seems right. Well, first off, you’re only customizing armour.… [Continue Reading]

Destiny 2’s DLC System Feels Expensive for What It Is

I’ve always wanted to like Destiny 2. The premise seems awesome. It’s like a cross between Borderlands and Halo with a hint of Warframe. I completely missed the train on Destiny 1, but Destiny 2 having both an open beta and becoming Free to Play meant I could give it a go. But every time I do try and get into Destiny 2, I get frustrated. Half of it is that I find the platforming required to be atrocious. The other half is that, well, I feel like I might as not be playing without DLC. Please note that this… [Continue Reading]

Dark Spooky Forest Week: Destiny 2’s Spooky Halloween Forest

Destiny 2’s Halloween event this year is actually the same Halloween event I briefly played a year before. Turns out, when I started playing again, it had been almost exactly a year since I’d last started. Also turns out that the Halloween event is also pretty much identical. It’s set in a spooky forest full of spooky things and lots and lots of darkness. The haunted forest is also probably the closest thing to Warframe-like gameplay. The concept is simple: Kill, run, fight boss. So, this spooky forest isn’t real. It’s actually part of Osiris’s many simulations. You start in… [Continue Reading]
