Retvik’s Top 5 Favourite Primary Weapons in Warframe

There are a LOT of weapons in Warframe. So many in fact that it’s easy to lose track of what you have and have not mastered. Every update almost certainly brings a new weapon or two with it, as do new Prime Access thingies. Many weapons are overlooked or plain forgotten about. As for me though? I’ve reached Legendary 1, the formerly mythical MR31. And after all these years, I can finally relax and just use the weapons I want. Rather than rushing through things for Mastery. So here are my top five favourite primary weapons in Warframe. Kuva Bramma… [Continue Reading]

The Easy Way of Leveling up Archwings – 3 Reasons why Salacia is the best Archwing mission.

Archwing is a very hit-or-miss game mode. While a lot of Archwing stuff has been tied up in other game modes, the solo Archwing experience is not particularly popular. With only a handful of nodes, there is often no real reason to play Archwings more than once. However, there is a LOT of Archwing gear that needs leveling up, and if you want plenty of mastery, then leveling Archwings up becomes a bit of a chore. You can’t reliably level up on Railjack missions, since your Railjack tends to suck up all the kills and mastery. The open worlds are… [Continue Reading]

3 Reasons Why You Should Be Playing Plague Star Right Now!

After what felt like an eternity, Plague Star is back in the Plains of Eidolon. This rather simple event involves not just Grineer but Infested too. Basically, the premise is that a meteor filled with Infested has crash-landed in the Plains of Eidolon, spreading their illness everywhere. The poor people in Cetus have no real way to protect against it, and thus hire the Tenno to help them. Luckily, the task isn’t too difficult. All you have to do is steal some Grinner toxins, stick them in a mixer then use a drone to dump said toxin onto the massive… [Continue Reading]

Railjack Endless Missions Are Boring

When it comes to Railjack Endless Missions, the whole idea is actually pretty new. Corpus Proxima missions were only added this year. However, with new nodes being added, like Corpus Survival, the Corpus Proxima areas just aren’t that fun. And, somehow, they also manage to make endless missions like Survival boring too. Your ship is just a taxi. In Railjack endless missions like Defense and Survival, your ship doesn’t matter at all. Sure, there’s probably some sort of side objective that needs doing, like blowing up a ship or something. But afterwards, you just park your ship near the Corpus… [Continue Reading]

Building for Volt’s Electric Shield

Long-time readers may have noticed that I have a… thing for Volt. My bright yellow electric space ninja has a lot of mileage on it. In Warframe, Volt and Volt Prime make up about 40% of total usage. The next closest Warframes after Volt Prime (30%) and Volt (10%) are Khora and Ivara, with about 15% between them. During this time, I have written a LOT about both Volt and his builds. I have both a general-usage build and a 1-forma build for Sanctuary Onslaught. Both of these builds surround playing with specific parts of Volt’s kit. The general usage… [Continue Reading]

I Can’t Wait for Crossplay in Warframe

I play a lot of Warframe. According to Steam, I have over 4000 hours in Warframe, way ahead of any other game I play. The only two games that get anywhere close to Warframe are Team Fortress 2 at 1700 hours, and an unknown about of time in Minecraft. However, I’ve only ever played Warframe on PC, since I don’t own any consoles myself. So, when Digital Extremes announced Crossplay for Warframe, I was actually very surprised. We’ve all wanted Crossplay for years. At the time of writing, we actually don’t know that much about what Warframe’s Crossplay will entail.… [Continue Reading]

On the surface of Warframe, especially early on, there’s a small problem with, well, just playing. For low level players, there are often too few ways to heal yourself. However, there are quite a few ways you can heal yourself, and some of them aren’t exactly obvious. Guardian and Medi-Ray We’re going to start off simple here. Medi-Ray is a mod for robotic companions, which makes them slowly heal you if you take damage. The healing isn’t the best, but… [Continue Reading]

On Stolen Robot Doggos

One of the more surprising additions to the Sisters of Parvos was the fact that we can adopt their pets. If you kill a Sister of Parvos, when you return to your ship, not only do you get the Sister’s weapon, but you get her robotic companion as well. However, despite being somewhat strong when tied to a Sister, is the adopted Hound any good? Well, let’s find out. Are they even useful? Hounds work in pretty much the same way as MOAs, built by Legs in Fortuna. There are currently three types of Hound, and the mastery given from… [Continue Reading]

5 Warframes Who Hate Fashionframe

Fashionframe is the true end game for Warframe. Once you’ve done everything, there’s not much else left to do. Sure, you can throw some Forma at Tenet weapons, farm Steel Path for new Arcanes or even help newbies. But all of this feels far more enjoyable if you are using a cool-looking Warframe. With so many options for colours, helmets, Syandanas, armour and skins, there’s a bit of something for everyone. Armour and syandanas in particular can make or break a cool silhouette. And at the end of the day, some Warframes really just don’t work well. Whether it’s clipping… [Continue Reading]
