The On Call Crew Command Could be Better

After much grinding, I have finally unlocked Rank 9 Command. This unlocks the On Call ability, allowing me to summon one of my Railjack crew to help me in normal missions. It’s a nice idea to tie in Railjack and normal missions a little bit further. But, honestly, after playing around with it, I find it lacking. First off though, I’m an idiot. Smarter people than I managed to unlock all 9 ranks of the Command Intrinsic almost instantly. On the other hand, I had to grind my way back up from zero. You see, we actually got ALL our… [Continue Reading]

The Power of a Ship of AI Crew Mates

When the Railjack Retrofitted update come out, the first thing I did was throw some mods on my Railjack and do one mission. Not wanting to waste time, I just did a quick mission on Earth. Once I had one single Intrinsic, I went and unlocked the Command Intrinsic, then headed to Fortuna. Ticker had a crowd around her, and for good reason. The lovely chap had crew for us to hire. My first choice was obvious. There were a couple of people from each Syndicate, but one stood out to me. A Perrin Sequence guy called Serv Nob. How… [Continue Reading]

A Fancy Yellow Invitation

Rakk Stugg grunted as he slammed his fist into the ever-growing pile of smashed alarm clocks. Much to his annoyance though, the beeping was still playing. After smashing his armoured gauntlet into the crunchy heap a couple more times, Rakk realized that, just maybe, the beeping sound was coming from somewhere else in the small, cramped crewship. Pulling himself out of his old, shitty sleeping pod, Rakk inspected the room, making sure everything was in its old, crappy place. The old Grineer pipes, the rusty wall panels, the clunky, anti-degeneration equipment, it all reminded him of the old days. Before… [Continue Reading]

These New Corpus Railjack Missions Feel Rather Weird…

With Corpus Railjack, we got a bunch of new Railjack missions. Unfortunately, these aren’t just Railjack missions. They’re part Railjack, part normal Warframe. Weirdly, these are curious combination of the two. There’s definitely some good and bad things about them. In fact, I’ve already talked about the defense mission before. But I feel like we kinda need to talk about all of these. It’s definitely not all negative. Just… confusing. These missions do kinda feel like taxi rides. Every new Corpus Railjack mission works in pretty much the same way. You destroy something to get access to the Corpus ship… [Continue Reading]

Railjack Corpus Ship Defense is just the Worst

There’s a lot to go through in the Railjack Retrofitted update, but something is bothering me. Sure, a lot of Corpus Railjack is half Railjack, half normal mission. I can kinda put up with that a little. However, there is one thing that is really irking me, and it’s defense missions. The problem is Railjack Defense. It’s just so bad. It’s normal Corpus defense but worse. Okay, first off, I need to explain why Corpus Ship Defense is bad. I’ve actually discussed Corpus Defense in the past, mostly with the death of Io. That one single defense mission on Jupiter… [Continue Reading]

An MR4 Volt’s Little Adventure

The other night, I was playing Warframe. It was way past my bedtime, but I was in voice chat on one of the discord servers I frequent. Things were good, I was doing fissures. Two of the people I was chatting with jumped into Warframe too. One of them wanted to farm Khora. The other one had nothing better to do and neither did I. So we headed to Sanctuary Onslaught. What happened next was a little… too wholesome. For once, this is about a Volt that isn’t me. Okay, sure, I was playing Volt at the time, but this… [Continue Reading]

Rest in Peace, Oberon Parts for Credits

The one time I’m busy and preoccupied with other stuff, a Warframe update hits. This one has been worked on for a while, and is basically completely and utterly reworking Railjack. Not only do we get the Corpus stuff we were originally teased with, but we’re getting a lot of “QOL” stuff too. However, the thing I want to address is another, related change in the Railjack Refitted update. Oberon parts no longer drop from Eximus Enemies. This is a pretty mind-blowing change. For someone old like me, it’s going to be insane, no longer having a cache of Oberon… [Continue Reading]

Rest in Peace, Gian Point

Well done, Tenno, we have managed to kill an entire node. With the new Railjack update, it seems that Gian Point has been removed. An entire node has been deleted, because people were using it too much. Somehow, despite their numbers, the Grineer are giving up. As of writing, I don’t know if they’re flat out deleting it or not. But wow, this is… an interesting path. “Wait, what IS Gian Point?” Gian Point is (or was) a mission in the Veil Proxima. It’s a Railjack Skirmish mission with a simple task: Destroy enemy ships and crew ships. It has… [Continue Reading]

3 Ways K-Drives Could Be More Cool

K-Drives are cool. They’re giant hover boards used by two kinds of future orphan kids. You can do tricks on them and drive-by shootings. Yet, somehow, people don’t seem to use them. Despite being so cool, K-drives don’t see that much use. However, we can easily fix this. All we need are a few tweaks. Here are three easy ways that K-Drives could be made so much cooler. 1. Make them faster K-Drives are fast, but they’re not that fast. They’re never going to beat Archwings when it comes to speed. After all, Archwings can fly over mountains and things… [Continue Reading]

IKEAFrame in your Ship is a whole different can of worms…

I’ve chatted about IKEAFrame before, but mostly for clan dojos. IKEAFrame is a silly name for all the decorating you can do in your private spaces in Warframe. Clan dojos offer vast amounts of space which you can freely decorate. And by decorate, that means painstakingly placing every single item, one at a time. But then you have to painstakingly fund every single item you place. It can take a long time, but, ideally, dojo decorating only costs time. Everything needs to be paid for using in-game resources. But since you are collecting these over time, the grind isn’t too… [Continue Reading]
