On Hunting Eidolons

Really, shouldn’t the plural of Eidolon be Eidola? And aren’t they Teralysts that we’re killing? Who knows? Not me. But I THINK I know a few things about hunting those giant, whiny bastards. I also know a few things about leaving them the heck alone. Just a note, to be able to effectively kill Eidolons, you MUST have completed the War Within. You can’t do this without those pesky space spoilers. So basically, hunting Eidolons is a massive pain in the ass and only really doable solo if you have an extreme amount of patients and can juggle multiple things… [Continue Reading]

A Jack of all Trades on the Plains

“Bloody hell Medic stop with the Warframe content!” some of you may beg. No. I like Warframe. And some of our Warframe content is the most viewed stuff on the site. Plus, I feel I might have some useful tips for those who are newer to the game. “But you’re going to talk about Volt again, aren’t you?” Yes, actually. Because there’s so much stuff going on in the Plains of Eidolon that you need someone who can do a bit of everything. And Volt might not be the best at everything, but he’s bloody good at a lot of… [Continue Reading]

Random Tips for Plague Star – the new Operation

Fancy a chance at getting the new Hunter series of set mods, that work on companions? Fancy a chance to get the Snipetron? How about the Ether Daggers which you probably sold after doing that New Strange quest then realised that you needed them for mastery rank? Fancy walking across the entirety of the Plains in order for the same rewards to be repeated over and over? If any of those appeal to you, then the new Operation: Plague Star is for you! So a massive infested meteor has crashed in the Plains of Eidolon and now it’s spitting infested… [Continue Reading]

Going Against the Grain – Warframe Builds Without Min-Maxing

In Warframe, it’s common to min-max a build. By that, I mean that many people build a weapon or character to excel in one specific aspect. For example, a person playing Titania might build her to maximize her Razorwing ability, while letting other abilities fall by the wayside. Or perhaps a Saryn player might put her entire kit into spreading spores as much as possible. Trinity is a good example of min-maxing, as you either put as much duration on as possible for Blessing, or you have as little duration on as possible so you can spam Energy Vampire. If… [Continue Reading]

The Problem with Riven Mods

When the War Within came out, it introduced Riven Mods, often just called rivens. The idea was that you’d receive a veiled mod with a challenge on it. Equipping this mod on a weapon and completing the challenge would unveil the riven and produce a mod for a specific weapon with randomized stats on it. These mods would cost about the same as rare/gold mods to upgrade and would ideally be a huge buff to unpopular or bad weapons, since the randomized stats included would give you more space for other mods, allow you to experiment more and try out… [Continue Reading]

Who The Hell Wants Only 1000 Credits Anyway?

The other day, I was watching Region chat scroll by when someone made a commend, asking if they could trade for a Continuity mod. I checked my profile and lo and behold, they were at Mastery Rank 6. I felt compelled to give them one of my Continuity mods for free, since I struggled for a long time without one. So I sent him a private message, invited him to my clan’s dojo and initiated a trade. Unfortunately, the guy didn’t have enough credits. You see, every trade has a trade tax applied to it, and every trade costs credits.… [Continue Reading]

Tips on doing Warframe Sorties

For ages I held off on doing Sorties. Part of it was because, back before the War Within came out, I wasn’t a particularly good player and most of my weapons and frames were lacking in forma and Orokin reactors and catalysts. Then the War Within came out and locked Sorties away from me, meaning I couldn’t do them until I finished that infernal quest. Still, almost everything else in the solar system is under level 50, so the idea of sorties always seemed scary to me, especially when the chances of good loot weren’t that great. Now I’m finally… [Continue Reading]

Halloween on the Plains

“COME ON, FROST! YOU’RE TAKING FOREVER!” Rhino pounded on the front of the white and blue Liset, waiting for its owner to finally open the door and come out. Behind him were Ember and Volt, both being a little more patient than their heavily armoured friend. “I’m not coming!” “WHY NOT?” Rhino whined. “You said you WOULD! Don’t make Ember all upset! She got all dressed up for the Day of the Dead, why can’t you?” Ember shrugged and glanced at Volt. “I’m not sad.” She was wearing a bunch of bone and skeleton-related things, with a bone necklace around… [Continue Reading]

More Small Additions Warframe Could Benefit From

As much as I love Warframe, there’s always little tiny things that bug me. But most of the time, these things just aren’t enough to warrant a complete article. So once again, I’m clumping several smaller ideas and thoughts into one single article. This article was brought to you by the Lenz, the world’s best rocket launcher disguised as a crossbow. Self damage marks the start of this article. Because self damage is insane in Warframe. Most explosive weapons WILL kill you in a single shot. The Lenz isn’t actually too bad, since you have a second to run away,… [Continue Reading]

Random Tips for the Plains of Eidolon

You may think I’m beating a dead horse or otherwise going on and on about this big new update, especially when I should be talking about the Team Fortress 2 update that’s FINALLY happening. But here I am, giving people a hand with a Warframe update that sends you in blind. But before we start with specifics, there’s a Halloween colour palette available in the Warframe market for 1 credit, until November 1st. Not platinum. Credit. Just search Halloween on the market and purchase the palette and it’ll be yours forever. I bought it last year and the Halloween palette… [Continue Reading]
