Purifying 1000 Pokemon

Quite a while back, I mentioned how I defeated an absolute ton of Team Rocket grunts. I did this for two reasons: one, it was fun, and two, I wanted the platinum medal for defeating grunts. At the time though, I also mentioned how I needed to complete the Purification badge as well, but that would be a long, dull journey. Well, finally, over two years later, I managed to get the platinum medal for purifying Pokemon. And boy, did it take a while. But I finally did it. I now have the platinum Purifier medal. I have purified 1000… [Continue Reading]

On Wearing A Smart Watch

Not too long ago, I was given a simple smart watch. It’s an older Samsung Galaxy Fit2, and I’ve been wearing it consistently. I’m actually not normally someone who wears a watch, but I’ve decided to be open-minded and give it a go. Just to see what it’s like. So how is this smart watch? It’s handy Haha a pun. But yeah, I’ve actually found this thing quite handy. Mostly because it vibrates just before my phone rings, giving me an extra second to react. It also vibrates when my alarms go off, which do an okay job of waking… [Continue Reading]

Over 2500 Published Articles

Well, I made an oopsie. I didn’t realize how many articles I’ve published. No, it’s not over 9000, but it’s still a pretty high number. I may have missed it, but I have written over 2500 articles for the Daily SPUF. That’s quite a lot since we (somewhat) recently hit 3500 articles total on the Daily SPUF. Normally, I’d be celebrating, but frankly, now I’ve past the milestone, it’s not quite as fun. Celebrating your 2503rd article isn’t nearly as fun as celebrating my 2500th article. That being said, I’ve gone and celebrated my 2000th article and my old 1000th… [Continue Reading]

Elite Raids Are Meh

Elite raids are a bit of a new feature. Simply put, they are designated raids that feature a specific Legendary Pokemon at a specific time. Currently, Hoopa Unbound, Regieleki and Regidraco are the Pokemon that have featured in these raids. They have special red eggs and appear at specific times. But how are they? Well, they had a rocky start. When Hoopa appeared in Elite Raids, the boss was insanely tough. Being only really weak to bug types, it took a lot of players to take down. But what made matters worse was how buggy the raids were. Connection issues… [Continue Reading]

No Fun PvE for Overwatch 2

I’m a very casual player when it comes to Overwatch 2. I occasionally play along with my boyfriend, who is much better than me. Of course, I play as a support character, because that’s what I’m best at. But I’m not really a huge fan of the PvP stuff. I much prefer cooperative game modes. Now, back before Overwatch 2 existed, we were told that Overwatch 1 would have something more PvE-oriented. There were plans to have a whole cooperative game mode, complete with skill trees and fancy things like that. This was back in 2019, which feels like forever… [Continue Reading]

Shadow Raids in Pokemon GO

To finish off Season 10: Rising Heroes, Pokemon GO now has Shadow Raids, where you can encounter Shadow Pokemon outside of Team Rocket pokestops and balloons. So are these raids any good? Or is it better to save your raid passes? There’s certainly a few decent raids to do. 1-star and 3-star raids There are currently three types of Shadow Raid. We have 1-star raids which include Bellsprout, Poliwag and Beldum. These 1-star raids work exactly the same as normal raids, except Team GO Rocket have covered everything with their R logo. You don’t need to do anything special for… [Continue Reading]

On Constantly Running Out of Pokemon Storage

In order to play Pokemon GO, you need plenty of Pokemon storage. Even if you play very conservatively, you will eventually run out of Pokemon storage at some point or another. The base amount of storage simply isn’t enough for anything really, and almost every player will run into that same old message, telling you that your storage is full. Once your storage is full, there’s only two things you can do. The first is to go into your inventory and start transferring Pokemon, until you’re back under your limit. Amusingly, this popup can even happen when you’re one off… [Continue Reading]

Fortuna 69 is back!

Well who would expect this? After over a year of not existing, Fortuna 69 is back! Somehow, in the most recent few hotfixes, as of May 26th, Fortuna 69 is accessible once again, and the same community have returned to make sure it stays open. What is Fortuna 69 though? Well, it’s quite a story. When Fortuna released, there were so many people playing that we had hundreds of instances, mini-servers filled with players. As the Fortuna hype slowly died down, many of these instances disappeared as players dwindled. However, in instance 69, players worked together to keep Fortuna 69… [Continue Reading]

How I’d Fix Raids in Pokemon GO

Raids in Pokemon GO have always been a bit problematic. Between the lack of great Pokemon, needing enough people to do a raid and having to forgo normal raids to do legendary raids due to a lack of people or raid passes, these raids can often be quite awkward. One of the much bigger problems is getting enough players to even do a raid in the first place. However, I have some ideas that might help smooth things out. Make them scale My first idea is that raid bosses should scale to the number of players in the lobby. You… [Continue Reading]

My Favourite Archguns in Warframe

Sometimes in Warframe, a normal gun just isn’t big enough. Sure our weapons can do vast amounts of damage and kill huge swathes of enemies, but sometimes you just need something massive. A gun so large that you have to add an anti-gravity component so you can use it. Sometimes you need an Archgun. Archguns are great. Originally appearing in Archwing missions, Archguns are massive, mostly two-handed weapons that can only be used in space because they are so heavy and powerful. Over the years though, we’ve been able to use Archguns more often, either via our Necramechs or by… [Continue Reading]
