For Halloween, Pokemon GO had a small, visual update. The over-world map was spruced up with Halloween-y decorations, and were also upgraded to be a little more accurate. We also got orange Pokestops and carved pumpkins to match the Halloween mood. Alongside the visual changes, we also got a nice remix of the music from Lavender Town, all the way back from gen 1. After the Halloween event though, all the vibrant autumn colours disappeared and we returned to that old, familiar, infinitely green or blue over-world. Right now, I have about 15 Pokecoins in Pokemon Go. At the same time, I am kinda in the middle of nowhere. So there are no local gyms around, which means I can’t get any coins, and I definitely can’t do any raids. There is one red gym within a reasonable distance, but it not only hasn’t had good raids on it, but it’s also fiercely defended by one person. Simply put, anything gym-related is out of reach for me.
